00:00Hello, everybody. My name is Joe Qureshi. Welcome to Niagara College. Welcome to the beautiful
00:05peninsula of Niagara. This is Western Ontario, where the beautiful Niagara Falls, the Cardinal
00:12Educational Institute that it has. So standing next to me is Susan Payon. Susan is one of the
00:19directors and in charge of the Teaching SPAR program, which is a diploma program that the
00:25college offers to all its students enrolled inside its medical aesthetics or its aesthetics
00:32program in general. Today is a big medical leap that the college has taken. Hello, Susan.
00:39Hi, Joe. How are you? I'm great. Thank you for coming. The sun is out. We've been having a lot
00:43of snow here, actually. We got lots of snow the last couple of weeks here, but the sun's shining.
00:48Thank you very much for choosing incredible devices and giving us the opportunity today
00:56to become your partners in teaching hundreds of students that go through your campuses.
01:04Oh, thank you for wanting to work with us. This is just a start. It's a team. It's a great
01:09tag team. And thank you for your willingness to work with the community college and give us the chance
01:13to be a partner with you. Well, you're always welcome. I mean, it's a government college. It's
01:17publicly funded. It's taxpayers' money. And we wanted to make sure that we actually give
01:21the best of innovation and the best of technology. And to leap that in, on my left side is incredible
01:31devices, chief trainer, a veteran for years of training experience in the medical device business.
01:39We have Manisha Fraser next to us. Hello, Manisha. Hello, Joe. How are you? I'm great. I'm loving being
01:44here and meeting this great team at Niagara College. It's been an honor. Thank you for flying in from
01:49Edmonton. You're more than welcome. You have a great resource here. I'm really lucky. Thank you.
01:55Oh, you're welcome. So we don't want to keep everybody outside. I think we can talk more as we
02:01walk into. Can you give us a little tour of the campus? Let's go. Okay, let's do that. Very modern
02:07building. I'm very impressed, actually, because I have been here once before. So how old has this program
02:14been at Niagara College? Well, the program itself has been here for 20 years. Campus is absolutely
02:21amazing. Okay, so you said that the program actually has been around for nearly two decades.
02:28Yeah. What a vibe. I know last time I was here, I was packed with students. There was career fairs
02:33going on. I do see a sign, actually. Yeah, we're going to the, we're in the north wing right now.
02:39We are going into the east wing right now, which is where we can find the esthetician program and the
02:45Niagara teaching spa. That's amazing. Yes, we'll have a little walk through there. Have you ever
02:50experienced a teaching spa at a college anywhere? Not at this magnitude, no. It's very professional,
02:57very well organized. And wow, the number of students that I saw today is very impressive.
03:04It speaks numbers, right? So you guys have a teaching spa sign outside. You guys put that out for us.
03:10We know
03:10we're coming in for training. Yeah, we did actually. How did you know? I don't know. I think the students
03:15actually really must be, because everybody's into aesthetics these days. Everybody. We have a great
03:21clientele that comes and supports our students. This is the teaching spa right here. Oh, beautiful.
03:26Look at this. This is amazing. Yes, let's just give you guys a little tour. Let's go inside.
03:32Hello. How are you? Our spa manager. Well, nice to meet you, Sandra. My name's Joe.
03:38First year student. Hello, Carissa. Nice to meet you. Our first year students is helping out with the
03:44spa operations now. So our students are really immersed in the experiential learning components. This is
03:50amazing. I'm so impressed. Like, I don't see this. What a great facility you guys have. We literally just
03:58walked right in. And today we're doing training, um, on some new medical. We'll keep that a little
04:05surprise. I don't know if you guys kind of know about that or not, but, uh, it's going to be
04:09a great day
04:10today, actually. And we have Munisha who's our chief trainer. She's flown in from Edmonton. So your students
04:15are learning and you have paid clients that are coming in. That's correct. Yep. At probably your
04:20discounted prices. We have very attractive prices. That's fantastic. And what's the wall behind you?
04:26Is this something where you just start? It's a retail center. Oh, beautiful. So you guys even have
04:28a retail center. We have a retail center as well, where we have, um, the products that we teach the
04:33students. Um, those are the products that they suggest and recommend to the clients post-treatment.
04:39Perfect. And so this is where the students get probably the practical and the theoretical learning.
04:45Exactly. And of course on that side is where you'll actually have the full fledged spa there.
04:51Yes. You can take a quick peek there. Okay. Let's just do a very quick peek there.
04:56Oh, beautiful. What a gorgeous setup. You know, Susan, I got to really appreciate
05:01because I am committed. Thank you very much for showing us this. So let's walk towards the
05:06classroom there. Actually, we're going to be conducting the training. So let's sit down on,
05:11there is our fantastic classroom actually, right? So we've got everyone, everything displayed here.
05:21Um, what a great moment. Let's grab a seat and just ask Susan some questions. Susan.
05:27Hi, Joe. So the questions and answers. Sure. I have a couple of questions only. And,
05:32and I think this is going to be amazing for, um, the students of Niagara College and let alone,
05:39I think Niagara College sort of plants the, the seed for becoming a voice of reason for many others
05:45that are actually going to watch us today. And my questions are sort of core and based around that.
05:51Can I have a little bit of background of yours, if that's okay? Sure. Yes. So my name is Susan
05:55Payone.
05:56I've been teaching here at the Niagara College Aesthetician program for about 18, going on 19 years.
06:0218, 19. Yeah. Yeah. That's years. I know. I've given you a lot. Prior to that, of course,
06:09I was an esthetician working in the industry, doing several different things from education
06:12to technical training, um, supply networking with different distributors. Um, but my passion's always
06:20been with education, which is how I found myself landing here at Niagara College. Excellent. Well, thank you
06:25very much. And I think I got to thank Susan here for giving us the opportunity. Obviously, um, uh, again,
06:33it's a great day for us today, gotten into the college with, uh, incredible devices, premier medical
06:41devices being the basis of where students are actually going to learn. Can you just highlight a
06:47little bit about the diploma program that's being offered here? Sure. Yeah. So we're a two year
06:53esthetician program. So we have four terms, um, from which the students learn a variety of different
06:58fundamental, um, aesthetics, meaning they're learning hand care, foot care, body care, makeup,
07:03and skin care, um, over four terms where they, uh, will learn, you know, the basic fundamentals,
07:10but then also trying to incorporate some of these newer devices into our curriculum, um, for the diploma
07:15program. Why did you choose the incredible device, man? Well, I mean, you got the incredible skin
07:20bride multi IPL that's right behind us, which obviously you're going to be teaching hair
07:26removal to your students. You actually have the skin rejuvenation part of it, which helps suffering
07:33from acne, pigmentation, rosacea, uh, you know, vascular broken capillaries, or even skin rejuvenation
07:42in general. So, you know, that's a lot for them to grasp. And then of course, um, I think investing
07:49into the skin analyzer, which is very AI driven, perhaps can be something that acts like more of
07:56a prescribing doctor, right? And then, uh, the trend, the OxygenCeuticals Korean glass facial,
08:04why did you think that these were the first primary sort of devices? And of course, Niagara College,
08:13and we have so many other colleges, we have Durham College, we have Seneca College,
08:18but Niagara College has one of the best programs. I've loved this. I've loved the campus. We've just
08:25took a tour. We've done a walk around the campus. It's absolutely like you guys have a teaching
08:30spa. I've seen a teaching hospital, but you guys have a teaching spa where, you know, you have actual
08:36customers coming in. What made you choose the incredible device brand? So thank you for noticing
08:43all those beautiful things about Niagara College. And we're very, we're very proud to be facilitators
08:49here and, um, trailblazers in the industry and simple answer for why Aesthetic Depot and incredible
08:57devices. It's because of innovation, um, and the technology, uh, with all of the devices that we have,
09:05um, accessibility and the willingness really of, of support that, uh, you have all provided
09:11to us from our beginning of our journey, which has been several months now. And so we're happy we
09:17made the right choice. Well, thank you. Thank you very much. I, I don't want to take a whole lot
09:21of
09:21your time because this is, uh, a step in the right direction. I see you have two semesters,
09:26you have a September semester and you have a, uh, a January semester. And then of course having 60
09:32odd students register. I think the landscape's being set up where, um, you know, the next batch
09:39of graduates that are actually going to come out of learning are going to have hands-on learning
09:45and experiences with real life, um, patients or clients within your college so that tomorrow
09:54when they are either looking for a job or they're actually going to become entrepreneurs and start
10:01something of your own, you've actually planted the right seeds as. So I'm very grateful to be
10:07sitting besides you and a lot of your instructors who I've met have a very similar zeal to make your
10:14students extremely successful. So I want to thank you as a CEO of the company. I couldn't have
10:19better words and could have found a better time to actually come and do this and meet you in person.
10:25But I, I stay committed to help all your students, uh, in their journey so that they can pave their
10:33path to glory and be part of this incredible journey with not starting from Niagara College
10:39and ending with incredible devices. So thank you very much. Thank you very much. It's been a pleasure.
10:43Sure. Thank you. Great to partner with you.
