00:00North Korea is showing a serious increase in its ability to produce nuclear weapons,
00:05according to the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi.
00:10He says the latest findings point to a clear expansion in the country's production capacity,
00:15with estimates suggesting a growing stockpile that now includes several dozen warheads.
00:23Inspectors detected an increase in activity at key nuclear sites,
00:27including the reprocessing unit and a light-water reactor, along with the operation of additional facilities.
00:34South Korea's intelligence agency reported that North Korea was running multiple uranium enrichment sites,
00:40which played a critical role in producing material for nuclear warheads.
00:44One of these facilities was located at the Yongbyon nuclear complex,
00:48which North Korea had previously claimed to have shut down before restarting operations in 2021.
00:54North Korea carried out its first nuclear test in 2006
00:59and had since remained under strict United Nations sanctions due to its banned weapons programs.
01:05Despite international pressure, the country made it clear that it had no intention
01:09of giving up its nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
