00:0118-year-old Dimitri Roussos is facing a string of charges including attempted murder after he
00:08allegedly forced entry into a Carrara home at about 4 a.m. yesterday. Police say the residents
00:14of the house woke to the sound of their dogs barking and confronted Mr. Roussos in the lounge
00:19room of their home where they began struggling with him. A 38-year-old man who is a resident of
00:25the house suffered stab wounds to his right shoulder and his torso and a cut to his face.
00:31He was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
00:36His partner, a 46-year-old woman, also suffered minor injuries. Now police allege that just hours
00:43before this Mr. Roussos was involved in another incident where he allegedly robbed a 21-year-old
00:50man at Knife Point after meeting him in the car park of a fast food restaurant with the purpose
00:56of buying four luxury watches. Police say Mr. Roussos then fled the car park and allegedly attempted
01:02to enter another Carrara home at about 3.30 a.m. but he was spooked by the residents and fled
01:09the scene.
01:10Now after an investigation police arrested and charged Mr. Roussos. He appeared in Southport
01:15Madrid's court today where no application for bail was made. His matter will return to court in June.
