00:00and we were in the midst of an Andy Pajas conversation right now.
00:02This guy's playing like the best player in Major League Baseball at the moment,
00:05and he is certainly tracking for a heck of a season in terms of war output,
00:10wins above replacement.
00:10The question is, is he a five-win center fielder for the best team in baseball
00:14and the Los Angeles Dodgers?
00:16Does he hit 30 homers?
00:17I mean, the fact that we've got to really sit here and think about it
00:21should tell you all you've got to know about Andy Pajas.
00:23And the other thing working in his benefit,
00:26the line of protection is absolutely insane.
00:29He could have a five-win season.
00:31He could have a 30-homer season,
00:32and he will never become the focal point of that offense,
00:36which is a blessing for Andy Pajas.
00:39100%.
00:39I think that's going to be the big part of what makes his life a little bit easier
00:44and putting him in a spot where he can consistently succeed.
00:47I just think Pajas is going to be a player that has some of that turbulence.
00:51He's not going to walk much, and he's very aggressive.
00:55So we saw it last year where really, really good stretches and then really rough stretches.
01:01And I think the same thing is going to happen this year.
01:02But maybe he's pushed his highs a little bit higher and his lows are a little bit higher as well
01:07to where you end up at the end of the year with a bit better of an overall number.
01:12His air pull ability is fantastic.
01:14But when I see a guy that's aggressive, I think that's something that teams are going to say,
01:17okay, how do we exploit the fact that an aggressive hitter is really trying to pull the ball in the
01:23air at a high clip?
01:23The reason why Isak Peretis is so good at it is because he's also really disciplined and doesn't whiff as
01:28well.
01:28So you can't really try to avoid his strength.
01:32I'm going to sell five war.
01:34Okay.
01:35The 30 homers is the interesting one.
01:37I think I'm going to...
01:39I think I'm going to...
01:41Where are you at?
01:42I'm going to defer to you first.
01:4430 homers, I'm going to sell it again.
01:46I'm aware that he had 27 last year.
01:48I just don't think he gets to 30 this go around.
01:51I take a little bit more value in stock in the defense aspect of Andy Pajas.
01:57So I think I'm selling, but just barely.
02:00Yeah, I think he puts up about the same number of homers and then gets to about four.
02:06I think he ends up pretty much in a similar spot to last year, a little bit better.
02:09So I'm going to sell both marginally.
02:12But we might be wrong.
02:13We might be wrong because, again, he might just be a step better at 25 years old.
02:17And maybe the worst part of his career is behind him after that tough stretch in the postseason
02:21and the finish to the year he had last year.
