00:00You know, as we saw this past week, now remember, we're doing the show on Sunday,
00:04so certainly a lot of things happen throughout the week here,
00:07but the Dodgers did have an extended losing streak.
00:10Anytime, to me, you lose more than five games in a row, Kevin,
00:13it's a little bit more than just an average losing streak.
00:15You know, 6-7, it starts to get to like, wait a second here.
00:19You know, everyone loses four or five.
00:21I told you at the beginning of the season, Dodgers are going to lose five in a row.
00:23They did it. It got a little bit longer than that.
00:25But I think that just goes to show that there's no guarantees in this, Kevin, right?
00:29Like, getting Scooble, it guarantees them to keep the ball rolling,
00:33and it guarantees them that they're going to win the division,
00:35and it probably guarantees them they get out of the first round of the playoffs.
00:38But beyond that, it's baseball, man. Anything can happen.
00:43100%. But I do wonder what tone everyone will sing when we get to the playoffs.
00:49This is, for me, the worst-case scenario of a Dodgers, maybe, season.
00:54And I want to, I made this comparison when they got Kyle Tucker.
01:00The Golden State Warriors, right, were winning championship after championship,
01:04and then were adding guys.
01:06And instead of thinking, we're about to see a team set the world on fire.
01:1274, 75 wins.
01:14Everybody knew.
01:15Regular season didn't matter.
01:17You're wasting your breath to pick against them in the postseason.
01:20Obviously, like, four or five guys got injured.
01:22After they lost the Raptors, the Dodgers are now giving us that exact same thing.
01:28If the Dodgers were giving us a historic regular season,
01:33a can't-miss show, that's worth it.
01:36They aren't that.
01:37And some of that is certainly health.
01:39Whether that be guys who are not around, Snell, Glassnow, Will Smith,
01:44or guys who are around but don't look 100%, Shohei Ohtani.
01:48But that's what we've gotten.
01:50And when we get to the playoffs, and they might be the third seed in the National League again,
01:58and everyone goes, yeah, but it doesn't matter.
02:02None of it matters.
02:03Obviously, they're going to win.
02:05That's boring.
02:06That's what you don't want.
02:07And that's what I warned about when they got Kyle Tucker and the Scooble thing.
02:12They lost his first start.
02:13It only reinforced how I kind of felt about this Dodgers group right now.
02:20There's got to be a way that I keep thinking that there's a world where they just run into,
02:26to your point, the third seed, and they are just up against it having to play so many series,
02:31even though they're better than Milwaukee on paper.
02:35But if Milwaukee has home field and the Dodgers have to go through a tough wild card matchup,
02:40they have to play the Phillies or the Braves, and then play Milwaukee,
02:43there's a world where the Dodgers don't even make it to the World Series
02:46just because the attrition of the postseason, combined with a slump from Mookie,
02:51a slump from Will Smith, a bad pitching from Sasaki.
02:54We're not getting premium breaks at this place now.
02:56How are you looking to approach the Dodgers once the postseason starts?
03:01I think it's going to depend on the price, and I think that's going to, again,
03:05depend on the health, right?
03:08The rotation could be Yamamoto, Scooble, Snell, Otani, Glassnow, Sasaki.
03:16I mean, it could be.
03:17I mean, there's also a chance that Roki Sasaki throws the third game,
03:22you know, a swing game of a series.
03:25So I am not sat here telling you guys, hey, this is all.
03:29I picked the Blue Jays last year when the World Series was set,
03:33when most people, I was wrong, but most people thought this is a waste of time.
03:37Obviously, the Dodgers are going to beat them.
03:39I am not a fatalist.
03:41I am not saying this season is over.
03:42What I am saying is that the Dodgers have not given us a can't-miss regular season,
03:48and the overwhelming conversation when the postseason begins
03:52is likely going to be, this is a waste of time.
03:55We all know they're going to win it.
03:58Yeah, see, I understand the sentiment.
04:00I thought of a different NBA team.
04:03I thought you were going to bring up the team that I followed during that time,
04:07which was the Miami Heat, when they got LeBron James.
04:10And it was not one, not two, not three.
04:14You remember that.
04:15And then it was San Antonio taking them out and the world rooting for the Spurs.
04:20So, you know, it's not that I disagree, but I think, Kevin,
04:24the more compelling story from this will be the amount of people rooting against the Dodgers,
04:29I think, when the postseason begins,
04:31almost like everyone rooted against the Heat for four years and rooting against LeBron James.
04:36That's the only thing I'll say, and obviously I know you know this,
04:39is the LeBron teams were can't-miss.
04:42Nobody cares when the Dodgers are playing on a Wednesday.

04:45I'm sorry.

04:46Until the postseason.
