00:00More than 200,000 civil servants nationwide will be placed under work-from-home arrangements starting tomorrow.
00:09Chief Secretary Shamsul Azri Abubakar said the policy would be subject to eligibility criteria and approval from respective department heads.
00:20According to a government circular issued on April 2nd, civil servants living more than eight kilometers away from their offices
00:29will be allowed to work from home for three days a week, effective April 15th.
00:35Earlier in his speech, Shamsul expressed confidence that allowing civil servants to work from home would not compromise administrative performance.
00:46He said the implementation of work from home should not be used as an excuse to delay or postpone any
00:53scheduled programs.
