While the world has been focused on Iran and related issues, the European Union has been busy working on trade deals all over the world. Southeast Asian nations now trust the EU the most, the EU is Africa's biggest trading partner, the EU made a trade deal with India, the EU is planning on a trade deal with Mexico, and the EU is about to implement its deal with South American Mercosur nations. Is this prophesied? Will Europe emerge as the end time Babylonian beast power? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie address these matters.

00:04Greetings, friends. This is Steve Dupuy for the Bible News Prophecy Program with Dr. Bob Thiel,
00:09bringing you news and analysis of world events in light of Bible prophecy. Dr. Thiel,
00:15is there anything else of significance happening in the world other than,
00:19or maybe because of, the Iran and Ukraine wars?
00:23Well, there's a lot of things going on, but what I'd like to focus on today
00:26is that the European Union continues to work to increase trade with other lands,
00:31triggered in part because of trade policies by the Trump administration,
00:34as well as previous U.S. administrations and policies.
00:39I want to go over something. There was an article that came out yesterday about Southeast Asia.
00:46Here's the headline.
00:47Trust in the EU, European Union, grows in Southeast Asia.
00:52It says, Europe's standing in Southeast Asia has improved over the past year.
00:56Okay, since after Trump's been in office.
01:00It's emerged as the region's most preferred third party to hedge against the United States and China rivalry,
01:08according to the State of Southeast Asia Survey, an annual poll that they published.
01:17According to the survey, 55.9% of the respondents said they trusted the EU to do the right thing,
01:25contribute to global peace, security, and prosperity, and governance.
01:29That's up 4% from last year.
01:32And over the same period, the distrust of the EU dropped by 5.5%.
01:39The EU is the ASEAN group's third largest trade partner after the U.S. and China.
01:45It's the bloc's second largest source of direct investment.
01:51The EU already has free trade agreements with Singapore and Vietnam that recently concluded a major trade deal with Indonesia.
02:03It's also looking to finalize agreements with the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand.
02:10And Alfred Grussell, an expert on Indo-Pacific relations, said,
02:15not only are the EU and ASEAN confronted with identical challenges,
02:19they also share an interest in promoting international law.
02:23As the two strongest regional organizations in this part of the world,
02:27they have a strong incentive to collaborate more closely to defend a rules-based order.
02:33I know you've told us in the past that Europe is going to rise up economically.
02:38Are they doing anything else that will fulfill this prediction?
02:43Oh, yeah.
02:44Well, the EU is already the biggest trade partner with Africa.
02:48And several months ago, they held a summit meeting in Angola, a country in Africa,
02:53to increase trade further in Africa.
02:57Furthermore, the EU is planning on greatly increasing trade with South America.
03:03An article that just came out that says,
03:07EU-MIRCOSER agreement to provisionally apply from 1 May 2026.
03:11The European Commission has formally notified
03:15MIRCOSER countries of the European Union's decision to proceed
03:19with provisional application of their trade agreement.
03:23The notification was made through a verbal address to Paraguay,
03:29the legal custodian of the MIRCOSER treaties,
03:32completing the final procedural requirement in line with the council decision of 9 January 2026.
03:38So does that mean the deal is done?
03:42To a degree.
03:43Okay.
03:43As a result, they're going to start trading more.
03:48And by the way, the MIRCOSER countries are Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
03:57And the document is going to start to be implemented now.
04:01And it's been hailed as an economic boon to both the EU and these Latin American countries.
04:08Now, I'm going to read something.
04:10Simple question.
04:11What's the EU-MIRCOSER deal about?
04:14The agreement, it says, aims to facilitate the flow of goods between the EU's member states
04:20and the four MIRCOSER economies.
04:23The EU says this will create one of the world's biggest trade zones with over 780 million people
04:29and could help soften the blow of U.S. tariffs by opening new export opportunities.
04:36Ignacio Garcia-Bercero, who's in a Brussels think tank, says,
04:43is probably one of the most significant and economically impactful trade agreements
04:47that's ever been concluded.
04:51According to the agreement, over the course of several years,
04:54so not completely in place yet,
04:58the two sides will lift over 90% of their respective tariffs
05:01that they currently apply to each other.
05:03Now, this sets 780 million people in the EU and the MIRCOSER companies.
05:08But if you add the associated countries to the EU,
05:11as well as associated countries to the MIRCOSER block,
05:15this is over 1 billion people.
05:17This is a huge deal.
05:19Therefore, yes, the EU is making trade moves away from the USA,
05:23as I predicted, based on biblical prophecies while watching world events.
05:28So, the EU has made trade agreements with countries from Africa,
05:32Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
05:35In what other way are they making trade moves away from the USA?
05:40Well, they just made a major trade deal with India.
05:43Hmm.
05:45There's over, there's about a billion, billion and a half Indians.
05:50And regarding trade,
05:52there's something I have in our free book
05:57about the unintended consequences in Donald Trump's presidency.
06:02Some of the things I have in here is trade.
06:05The morning after his election, I wrote,
06:07Europe will get more serious about trade deals with others internationally,
06:11such as being more motivated to approve the deal
06:14with the MIRCOSER block of South America.
06:17So, how does the fact that Europe will get more serious about trade deals
06:22relate to your book about Donald Trump and unintended consequences?
06:27When I wrote that,
06:31well, anyway, what I wrote in that book was
06:33one of the unintended consequences of Donald Trump's threats of terrorists
06:36and other trade matters is that it's motivating nations.
06:38He is threatened to look to trade more to each other.
06:42Look, the Europeans and the Latin Americans
06:46have been working on the COSER deal for a couple of decades, okay?
06:49This finally was the factor.
06:52You know, Isaac Newton's third law of motion states
06:55that for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.
06:59Anyway, in the case of the Trump administration,
07:02policies are pushing away and threatening Europe.
07:06And it's motivating them to make deals that they've been hesitant to make.
07:09Now, in that Trump book, I also wrote,
07:13Europe will get more serious about trade deals with others internationally.
07:18Pushing tariffs and other policies that foreign nations do not like
07:22has contributed to other nations looking to bypass the United States dollar,
07:26as well as to trade more with each other
07:29and less with the United States of America.
07:31This will further push globalist moves forward without the USA.
07:35Thus, it's also helping set the stage to the coming European Babylon beast
07:40to dominate international trade.
07:43So, a lot's happening in Europe.
07:47Now, I want to read number eight of my items,
07:56of 26 items to prophetically watch in 2026.
07:59Number eight was trade.
08:02Not all warfare is militaristic.
08:05There's also economic warfare.
08:07This also often involves trade.
08:10Major use of sanctions,
08:11mainly pushed by the United States of America,
08:14has been continuing.
08:16This is affecting trade
08:18and pushing trade away from the United States of America.
08:20The EU will decide that Mexico
08:22and the rest of Latin America
08:24are in more agreement with it
08:25and will make some serious trading agreements
08:28with most or all of Latin America.
08:32And these things are happening.
08:35Number nine on this list,
08:37which I wrote in 2025 for this year,
08:41is called European trade moves.
08:43And Europe, to Donald Trump's tariffs,
08:46threats are a major concern for European trade.
08:50And I mentioned it in 2018.
08:53I wrote the Europeans have been working with Latin America,
08:56China, Russia, the Eurasian Union,
08:57and others in the world to try to set up
09:00its dominance of world trade
09:01as well as the standards of world trade.
09:03And such deals are happening.
09:05Again, this is what I wrote in 2025
09:07about what's going to happen for this year.
09:09Expect more concrete action,
09:12at least partially because of the re-election
09:14of Donald Trump along with J.D. Vance.
09:17Europe will reach out to various ones
09:19in Africa and Asia, which it's done,
09:22and Latin America, which it's done.
09:23In the next several years,
09:25more trade will occur with Africa, Asia,
09:28Mexico, and South America.
09:32Expect more trade conflict
09:33between the United States and Europe.
09:35The Bible shows that Europe will,
09:36for a time, dominate trade.
09:38See Revelation 17 and Revelation 18.
09:41So that's what I wrote last year.
09:43Well, these things are happening now.
09:46And even in the United States
09:48Prime Agriculture noted, quote,
09:50Mexico and the European Union
09:51are expected to sign
09:52a modernized global agreement in 2026.
09:57Another time, you've mentioned
09:59that the stage is being set
10:01for the European Babylonian beast power.
10:03And just now, you use Revelation 17 and 18
10:07as a reference to European domination
10:09of world trade.
10:11Elaborate on that.
10:14Well, again, in what I wrote in 2025
10:17to look for 2026, I wrote,
10:19Europe will get more serious
10:20about trade deals with others internationally,
10:22such as being more motivated
10:24to approve trade deals
10:26with the recursive bloc of South America.
10:30That said, in 2026,
10:32Europe will work on getting more of the world
10:34to accept its standards
10:36and trading matters.
10:37This will help Europe
10:38ultimately dominate trade.
10:40For a time, Babylon will dominate world trade.
10:43And so in that article,
10:45I quoted Revelation 18, verses 2 to 3.
10:49So let me read from the Bible.
10:52And he cried mightily
10:53with a loud voice saying,
10:56Babylon, the great is fallen,
10:58is fallen, is becoming a dwelling place
10:59of demons and of every foul spirit
11:02and a cage for every unclean
11:04and hated bird.
11:05For all the nations have drunk
11:07of the wine and the wrath
11:09of her fornication.
11:10The kings of the earth
11:11have committed fornication with her
11:13and the merchants of the earth,
11:15let's talk about trade,
11:17have become rich
11:17through the abundance of her luxury.
11:21So those verses indicate
11:23that the nations
11:24that are now entering trade agreements
11:26with Europe
11:26are the ones committing fornication
11:29with Babylon.
11:30Will Europe continue
11:31to make new trade deals
11:33with additional kings of the year?
11:36Yes.
11:37And again, going back
11:38to what I warned last year
11:40to look at this year,
11:41that what Europe is trying to do,
11:44although Babylon will not fully reign
11:46in 2026,
11:48the USA is pulling out of trade deals
11:50or are wishing to change them
11:52and steps are pushing Europe
11:53to dominate trade.
11:56Expect Europe to reach out
11:57to various Gentile nations
11:59in Asia, Africa, South America,
12:01and elsewhere to make trade deals.
12:03The final time of Gentiles
12:06is approaching.
12:08We see BRICS,
12:09so that, by the way,
12:11Brazil, Russia, India, China,
12:13South Africa,
12:14plus there's also Egypt, Ethiopia,
12:16Iran are part of BRICS
12:17and some others.
12:18So Global South,
12:20the EU and others
12:22are working on ways to trade
12:25and not have to deal
12:26with descendants of Ephraim,
12:29UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand,
12:31and Manasseh,
12:33the United States of America.
12:35And by the way,

12:38about lost tribes.
12:39Anyway,
12:41to finish what I wrote last year
12:43to look at this year,
12:44the Europeans will work
12:45with many nations
12:46to secure stronger
12:48trade agreements.
12:50And that's been happening.
12:52And this stuff's not covered
12:54in much of the mainstream press.
12:56I mean, how often
12:57have you seen
12:58the mainstream press
12:59going out and saying,
13:00oh, by the way,
13:01Europe's making this trade deal
13:03and Europe's making this trade deal
13:04and these other people
13:04are making these other trade deals
13:05with each other
13:06and not the United States.
13:08We don't hear it.
13:09What we hear in this country
13:10about the tariffs and trade
13:12is it's going to affect inflation
13:14or it didn't affect inflation
13:15as much as we thought
13:16or it's going to affect this,
13:18it's going to affect that.
13:20But these people
13:21aren't looking at the Bible.
13:23The Bible's telling us
13:24that Babylon,
13:26the great,
13:26its trading power,
13:28it's going to rise up
13:29in Europe
13:30and this is happening
13:31right now before their eyes.
13:32It's one of the biggest stories
13:34that they're missing.
13:36And you might see
13:37a little bit about it
13:38here and there
13:39but they don't emphasize it.
13:41They don't think
13:41it's important
13:42because they don't rely
13:43on the Bible.
13:45And this is a problem
13:47with other things.
13:48I mean,
13:49other things are going on too.
13:49The Europeans are arming.
13:51There's stuff going on
13:52with Iran
13:53that I think
13:54fulfills some other prophecies,
13:55other things going on
13:56in the Middle East.
13:56But they miss that
14:00or their biases
14:01and the fact
14:02that they don't believe
14:03the Word of God.
14:04But they should
14:05because the reality is
14:06properly understood
14:08biblical prophecies
14:09are coming to pass.
