00:02Why do you think Cavs in the first half has been quite quick and I just wondered,
00:06do you cut any of that down to the 24-day gap?
00:10No, I don't think it's the gap. I think there's bits in the first half we can certainly be better
00:14at.
00:14I think going a goal down obviously makes it a little bit more difficult.
00:20I have to say the goal itself, Lenny Jorog gets a forearm smash in the back of his head.
00:26It's worth looking again if you haven't seen that.
00:30Which I don't know if you're getting the sending off or what you're getting the sending off for.
00:33I don't know how that doesn't get overturned as a goal.
00:34It's a clear forearm smash on the side of his head.
00:37So that first goal shouldn't stand.
00:40It puts us in a situation a little bit more difficult.
00:45And Lenny kind of rolled a little bit from there and we didn't quite get the grips with it at
00:49certain points.
00:51And then the way we bombed back the second half, I was really pleased with the reaction in a tough
00:55situation.
00:56And nearly got something from the game.
00:58So you say the time for Martinez red card is one of the worst decisions you've seen.
01:04Do you think it will help the referee when he's asked by J.R. to then go review it when
01:09it's in the pool?
01:12No, because he still can, if he sees it.
01:14We've seen it before and gone to the screen and said actually it's not.
01:19So the arm in the face of Lisandro at the start with, he gets an arm in the face.
01:24So he's kind of off balance and they're kind of off grappling.
01:26He almost, almost just goes to touch him and grab his shirt and he ends up catching his ear and
01:30touches the back of his ear.
01:31And the bobble comes out and you get a red card for it.
01:33It's not aggressive.
01:35There's no jolt.
01:35There's no tug.
01:36There's no sudden movement.
01:37He kind of touches it and glances through it.
01:40And just got to be careful where the game's going if we give them red cards for that.
01:45But then you can do two arms in the face, the red card and the first goal.
01:50And that's deemed alright.
01:52So it's a shocking decision.
01:55Absolutely shocking decision.
01:56Michael, after the Bournemouth game, when you have similarly team controversial incidents with penalties,
02:05the club submitted an additional complaint to the UK and I don't know about it.
02:09Do you think about some of the decisions your team are facing this season?
02:16Yeah, I don't want to go into too much about other decisions.
02:19I think it's just about tonight for that one.
02:21There are two decisions for me.
02:23The first one, if you overturn it and you're looking at a goal, it's a massive moment.
02:28He's lent with his arm.
02:29He's not even...
02:30He's lent forward and kind of gone like that and lent his head.
02:34So I don't know how you don't look at it to see that.
02:38But the red card, I mean, I have to say that's really concerning if that's going to be a sending
02:43off.
02:44I know he touched his hair.
02:45You can't deny he touched his hair.
02:46There's a difference between touching somebody the way he has and brushed his hair
02:50to actually really aggressively tugging on it, which certainly we've seen at certain points
02:56where there's a real kind of emphasis to...
02:59That's just...
02:59Yeah, that's really concerning.
03:04That's my problem, exactly, yeah.
03:07Sam?
03:09Michael, a recently frustrating night, but the upshot is that Martinez won't be at play on Saturday
03:17unless he's peeling it over term, and there's potential for Harry not being able to play
03:22on Saturday as well.
03:24How much is that going to affect you in what has turned into a pretty important game?
03:31Yeah, it's an important game.
03:33I think, you know, when the dust settles from tonight, I think we're in a decent position,
03:40you know, we've got a lot to play for, so we'll make the most of it.
03:43You know, if whatever plays are available after this, hopefully Leach is still available.
03:48I think certainly that he should be after that, but we'll see, you know.
03:53That's why we've got a squad.
03:55We've got players that we can call upon, and we'll go there and look forward to the game.
04:00Sam?
04:00Just something that Martinez would have come, would you appeal to that?
04:04I'm going to have to obviously discuss it, but I think it's a bad decision, so we'll have to see.
04:09And then, just on a separate note, among all the guards, I know you've got some options
04:13in the field, but unfortunately, I think that's ten starts this season, one win, within six defeats.
04:18It sounds like some of the supporters were becoming impatient in the first.
04:21I mean, is that a big concern for you, this form in general?
04:25No.
04:26No, no.
04:26I think when he's played since I've been here, whatever's gone on before has gone on before.
04:31It's not for me to comment about that one, but since I've came, when he's played and he's
04:37came on and he's been fine, I think.
04:40Tonight was a tough game, not just for Manu, I think it was just one of those games where
04:45it was a tough night actually for him, especially when we went down to ten minutes.
04:48He's really important and he's done a lot of covering for other players to be able to
04:54attack, so actually I thought he'd done well, especially the longer the game went on.
04:57Good, Pete, and then last question for Rob.
05:00Hi Mike, did you see enough in the second half in that response, especially after coming
05:04after ten minutes, to take forward into what is going to be a crucial period for the first
05:08goal?
05:11Yeah, but I have to say whatever happened tonight is not going to suddenly change my opinion
05:16on what we are as a team.
05:19We've built enough of a foundation to understand what we are good at, what we need to improve
05:24at.
05:26And moving forward to the end of the season, the games are going to be the games and it's
05:28a big end to the season, there's no getting away from it.
05:32So the mentality and the character and the boys wanting to do well and trying to give everything,
05:38I've never doubted that and I won't doubt that.
05:41I think from what I've seen every day in the games, it's there.
05:44We can certainly improve at certain things, so I'm not saying that, but the boys are desperate
05:50to do well and are desperate to improve and we've done a lot of good things so far and
05:55we need to do more of that for sure.
06:09Yeah, I thought we were, I thought it was a really good reaction.
06:13We spoke about half time about staying positive and how the game can change and what we were
06:18capable of doing.
06:19So I was really pleased with the boys the way they did that.
06:21Listen, it's a little bit down and disappointing because the result, that's natural.
06:28It's an important game and any game that we lose, we don't want to lose.
06:31So if there was any other reaction from them, then you'd be a little bit concerned.
06:35So there's that for sure, but it won't dampen the confidence or the belief moving forward.
06:40Thanks a lot.
06:41Bye.
06:41Bye.
