Anthony Davis spoke at his exit interviews and he remains non-committal about his Wizards' future.
Transcript
00:00You just touched on it.
00:01Capitals fans, yes.
00:03Yes.
00:04Proud to be among your number.
00:05I had 10,000 youth sporting events.
00:07My kids did great.
00:08Proud of them.
00:09It was really, really fun.
00:10We were busy all weekend long.
00:12Caps fans showed out.
00:14They acted accordingly.
00:15You know they would, but still it's fun to see.
00:17Ovation after ovation, the OV chance, the one-more-year chance,
00:21celebrating the greatest athlete in D.C. history.
00:23I thought that was fantastic, GP.
00:25We showed well.
00:26Yeah, it was great television from afar.
00:28Wasn't in the building yesterday, unfortunately.
00:30But it was really neat to watch and to see.
00:33I had no thoughts that it was going to be anything else.
00:35Yeah.
00:36Why wouldn't it?
00:36I mean, this is an adored, revered, beloved GOAT.
00:40One of the greatest to ever do it in any sport in D.C. sports history.
00:43And I think he stands alone.
00:45If you're doing a Mount Rushmore for D.C. sports,
00:47he should get the biggest, most amount of stone.
00:50This is the guy.
00:51He checks every box.
00:53He brought you the championship.
00:54He's done more for the sport and just because of the longevity,
00:57probably more in the community than anybody else who's ever played here.
01:01And then, oh, by the way, a little detail,
01:03he's the greatest goal scorer of all time.
01:04But we'll get to OV in one second because I want to go through some of the clips,
01:08the audio, the moments of what was maybe his final day in D.C.
01:13as a capital playing a home game at Capital One Arena.
01:17But also notable here, Danny, tonight becomes very important
01:21because there are 48 hours left in the NHL season.
01:25And the Caps, despite selling off two of their most beloved veterans in the locker room
01:31going back a month, are still in the mix.
01:34And it's not that crazy.
01:36It's unlikely they get in.
01:37The chances are right around 15%.
01:39But it's not that crazy.
01:41So here's what needs to happen.
01:43You're rooting against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight and tomorrow.
01:46Easy for me to do.
01:47I'm great at that.
01:48It's already one of our favorite things to do on this show.
01:50Yeah, you and I are outstanding in that capacity.
01:52The Flyers play the Hurricanes this evening.
01:55They've got to lose that game.
01:57And then the Flyers finish with a Tuesday night game
02:01against the Montreal Canadiens.
02:02Both home games.
02:03That's tomorrow.
02:04If the Flyers only get one or fewer points
02:07and the Capitals win tomorrow night,
02:09the Capitals make the playoffs.
02:10If the Flyers win either of their final two games,
02:13that's tonight against Carolina or tomorrow against the Canadiens.
02:16Doesn't matter what the Caps do.
02:17The Flyers get in.
02:19The bad news I've got for you, Danny,
02:20because the Hurricanes are one of the best teams in hockey,
02:23the best team in the East.
02:24They're sitting a lot of their best players tonight.
02:26I've seen upwards of six to eight players for the Carolina Hurricanes
02:31who are among their best, both defensively and at forward,
02:35could be out tonight.
02:36So you need a miraculous somehow, someway,
02:39the Hurricanes B roster beats Philly
02:41as they're trying to clinch a playoff spot.
02:42And then it would set up a win and get some help
02:47or go home final day of the regular season.
02:49But it is just amazing.
02:51After the trade deadline,
02:52where you get rid of John Carlson and Nick Dowd,
02:54after the locker room seemed to be kind of in shambles
02:58right after those moves,
02:59going with the youth movement and calling up a bunch of the kids
03:02to just let them stretch their legs down the stretch,
03:04the Capitals have played some of their best hockey.
03:06Yeah, it's wild.
03:07And that's just shortly after losing 15-4
03:12to two of the worst teams the sport has to offer.
03:15It just shows you how crazy the pro sports are, right?
03:17Where the mentality of guys and how defeated are they?
03:19Oh, it's because of this.
03:20Well, how about they rebound and play, as you said,
03:22some of their best hockey of the season,
03:24where they skated circles around the Maple Leafs
03:25like they weren't even there.
03:26It was incredible that 4-0 shutout win last week.
03:30Back-to-back wins over the Penguins, 9-3 aggregate score.
03:34What else could you ask for?
03:35Maybe beat one of those bad teams.
03:36Specifically on Saturday,
03:37helped them a lot by sitting a bunch of guys
03:39as they rest up for the playoffs.
03:41But you still got to go handle your business,
03:42and they did.
03:43And the Penguins were playing a lot harder,
03:46and more important players were on the ice last night
03:48than the previous day.
03:49And the Capitals got a shutout at home
03:52against the Pens for the first time in years.
03:54But yeah, I get it.
03:55You bring up those two games that were a kick to the shins last week,
04:00where they got blown out by the two worst teams in the Metro,
04:03and they will end up haunting me.
04:04The Caps are going to miss the playoffs,
04:06probably tonight's the night when the Flyers win,
04:09and it ends.
04:10Maybe it's tomorrow.
04:11And when they do, miss out by a game or so.
04:13I'm going to look at that Devils game
04:15and that Rangers game from last week
04:16and say you had your shot.
04:17But it doesn't change the fact that over their last 18 games,
04:20they went 11-5-2.
04:22Totally true.
04:22Since the Carlson trade,
04:24they were fifth in regulation wins in the East
04:27and eighth in the NHL.
04:28And this is going to happen, by the way.
04:30People are going to point to their season
04:31and act like it was this really bad, disappointing, awful year.
04:35What happened?
04:36What happened was they didn't win games in overtime enough,
04:39and they lost too many shootouts.
04:40That's the story of their season.
04:42Do you realize they have more regulation wins than the Penguins,
04:45one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference,
04:46in terms of 60-minute hockey wins?
04:48Again, they're fifth in the East.
04:50They won't make the playoffs where eight teams get in.
04:52But in terms of after 60 minutes,
04:54they had the fifth-most wins in the East
04:56and eighth-most in all the NHL.
04:58Sixteen teams make the playoffs.
04:59They're tied for fifth in regulation and overtime wins.
05:03So just take shootouts out of the equation.
05:05Did you win or lose the game with 65 minutes of hockey?
05:08Four teams had better years than the Capitals.
05:10And that plus-18 goal differential is top seven
05:13in the Eastern Conference as well.
05:15But you look at how they finished going 11-1-2
05:17in their final 14 home games, Danny.
05:19Points in 13 at their final 14 at Capital and Arena
05:22since March 9th, which sounds random,
05:25but it's basically like a five-week sample to end the season.
05:2811-4-2.
05:30That's a 706-point percentage.
05:32Second in the NHL.
05:33That's as they turn things over to Cole Hudson, who's 19,
05:36bringing up Ilya Protis, who's 19,
05:39pushing some of the veterans down the lines
05:41and getting some of the kids more minutes.
05:43There's a lot of reason for hope here.
05:45Fourth-most points this year by rookies this season for the Capitals.
05:49Blackhawks, Islanders, Canadians, the only teams with more
05:52than the 94 points for the Capitals for the rookies.
05:54So I'm sure there will be your normal,
05:56your downtrodden, upset, frustrated, blow-it-all-up narratives
06:00and the people that actually watch the games and know the team
06:03kind of see that this thing is ascending.
06:05The OB decision, though, is the whole kit and caboodle.
06:07That is the...
06:09What's the word I'm looking for?
06:10It's whatever's hanging over them.
06:11It's not a black cloud because it's not like negative or bad.
06:14It's the OB cloud.
06:15I mean, it's the thing.
06:15It's the, you're already crossroads.
06:17Shout out, Bone Dugs and Harmony.
06:18I mean, you're sitting right here going,
06:19which way?
06:20We need to know at some point.
06:22And, you know, I suppose he's going to take his time
06:24and figure it out.
06:25But I don't know about you,
06:26but my opinion has dramatically changed.
06:28And we'll get into that as the show goes.
06:30Yeah, let's get into it now, I guess.
06:32I mean, let's talk OV in his future.
06:34Because we saw Sunday's send-off at Capital One Arena.
06:39And we saw how he handled it, too.
06:41Which, to your point, is informative.
06:43So let's go through some of the specifics from yesterday.
06:46This was the third most in-demand Caps ticket ever on the resale market.
06:51Did you see where it ended up?
06:52On average, $310 to get in.
06:55How about it?
06:56Only two times.
06:57I'd imagine Stanley Cup Eastern Conference Finals,
06:59something like that.
07:00But only two times have Caps fans, on average,
07:02paid more to be in the arena to watch the team
07:05at Capital One Arena than yesterday.
07:06I thought a nice touch was the ice crew
07:09that goes around with the shovels
07:12and gets the ice prepared for play
07:14and intermissions and things.
07:15They were all wearing yellow laces on their skates.
07:18I thought maybe the Caps should have done that.
07:19I thought that would have been cool.
07:20Oh, that's neat, yeah.
07:20But fans throughout the game were chanting,
07:23one more year.
07:25You referenced, they couldn't have done a better job.
07:27They brought the energy, the passion, the intensity.
07:30They knew the assignment, and they get an A.
07:32If you were in the crowd yesterday
07:34and you were a part of it,
07:35take a bow.
07:36You did your job.
07:37100%.
07:38They crushed it.
07:39And, you know, it's one of those,
07:40I really wish I could have been there.
07:41There was no way I could have pulled it off.
07:43But that's not important.
07:44What is important is,
07:46when there are very few moments to,
07:48and listen, these guys aren't digging ditches.
07:50They're playing a game at the highest levels.
07:52But still, when an athlete is giving you so much,
07:54in terms of blood, sweat, tears,
07:57on ice, achievements, giving you moments of joy,
07:59whether you're in the arena, at home,
08:02you know, listening on the radio, whatever,
08:03it's pretty rare you get that great opportunity
08:06where everybody else is kind of pulling the rope
08:08in the same direction as you
08:09to make them feel truly appreciated
08:12and how lucky we were to have gotten to see it.
08:14I don't know if he plays again or not.
08:15I now have my leanings,
08:16but the fan base kind of understood
08:19this may be it and we're all going to act accordingly.
08:21It's not just one guy going,
08:22I love Ovi with a sign.
08:23It was 20,000 people doing it.
08:25And I thought it was perfect.
08:26Let's start with the opening face-off of the game
08:29where Dylan Strom, who's on Ovi's top line,
08:32is out there at center
08:33to try to win a draw against Sidney Crosby.
08:36And he purposefully gets kicked out of the face-off dot
08:40so that Ovechkin has to go in
08:41and take the draw against Crosby.
08:44Game number 100 they've ever played together, Danny?
08:4620 years in the making?
08:48That was chill-inducing.
08:50With everybody on their feet,
08:52kind of an electric atmosphere,
08:53and then the people in the barn
08:54knew what was happening.
08:56This was the call on TNT.
08:57And here's the drop of the puck right here.
08:59There it is where Strom says,
09:00I'm going to get booted out of this face-off.
09:02Ovi, you go with there.
09:04Accidentally, unpurposely done,
09:05and well done there by Strom.
09:06This was the call on the radio
09:08here on 106.7 The Fan from John Walton
09:12as Ovi ended up taking the opening face-off.
09:15Two decades of battles
09:17between Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin,
09:20and they are combatants again
09:21on the ice to begin this game
09:22the 100th time
09:24that they have met.
09:27And will there be a 1-0-1?
09:31They'd have to go to next year.
09:32A little shot there.
09:33Oh, look, look, he got kicked out.
09:35And Ovechkin takes the face-off.
09:37How about that?
09:38And we're underway as Sidney Crosby gets it.
09:43And that might be a sign right there.
09:45Alex Ovechkin taking the draw
09:47against number 87 in a moment for all time.
09:50Here comes Gina Kopp.
09:52That was the equivalent.
09:53I hope this isn't a terrible comp
09:55in real time here.
09:56It's almost like the missing man formation
09:58with Reed Dowdy or something
09:59after the passing of Sean Taylor
10:01where it's just something symbolic
10:03where sports transcend
10:04the importance of the moment.
10:06Yeah.
10:06And you're at a disadvantage, essentially,
10:09but you're going,
10:09this is bigger than this moment.
10:10This is bigger than
10:11the first five seconds of this game.
10:13The first thing I thought of
10:14was Alex Rodriguez
10:14and the AL All-Star team going,
10:17Cal, you're at shortstop.
10:17Better comp.
10:18That's the first thing I thought of
10:19where it's Cal's like,
10:20no, I played third base.
10:21He's like, no, you don't, dude.
10:23I'm here because of you, right?
10:24You go on over.
10:25Now, I thought that was Strom's decision
10:27or maybe he had talked to Ovi about it.
10:29It was not actually.
10:30Do you know whose decision that actually was?
10:32No, whose was it?
10:33The referee who dropped the puck.
10:35Listen to Dylan Strom postgame
10:36on how that came about.
10:38I got to give credit to the referee there.
10:41I'm not sure which one it was
10:42that said that,
10:44but he just thought it was a good idea.
10:46So, I was obviously all in.
10:49Thankfully, they didn't score
10:49in the way they had a decent chance on it.
10:52No, it was a nice little tribute.
10:54I was obviously fine with it
10:56and just stepped aside
10:57and let the two big guys handle it.
11:00What a great idea.
11:01And Strom was like, yeah, no problem.
11:04Walton, as you heard in the call,
11:05took that as a moment
11:07where maybe this is Ovi tipping his hand a little bit.
11:11He's showing his hand here.
11:12He's going, oh, this could tell you something.
11:14And I thought that in real time.
11:15I thought, oh, is this how this game's going?
11:17It's the last.
11:18And then as you find out,
11:19well, not only did Ovi not know,
11:20Strom didn't even know.
11:21It was just one ref's idea
11:22to kind of say, let's kick things off this way.
11:24Yeah, what if we did that?
11:25Really cool.
11:25It probably didn't tell you a whole lot of anything,
11:26but I still thought symbolically
11:28it was pretty amazing.
11:29Here was a telling moment too, possibly.
11:32The Pittsburgh Penguins after the game
11:34lined up to try to shake Alex Ovechkin's hand.
11:38They wanted to do the receiving line
11:40that Ovi had the Caps do
11:41a couple of times over the last few years
11:43when they were playing against
11:45one of the icon, legendary players
11:46who had announced this is the end of the road.
11:49And Ovi would always, as the team captain,
11:50your job, let's get out there, guys.
11:52Let's go pay our respects.
11:53So Crosby's got the Penguins ready to do that.
11:55And Ovi waved them off yesterday
11:58and sent them back to the bench,
12:00did not want the receiving line.
12:02Those who have kept their playoff hopes alive
12:04for another day.
12:06Penguins, as you would suspect,
12:08staying on that ice right now.
12:09Ovi's waving them off.
12:13He's waving them down the tunnel.
12:17What'd you make of that?
12:18He's playing.
12:19That's what I made of it.
12:20He's playing next year.
12:22That's what I made of it.
12:23So, oh.
12:24That was it for you.
12:25That was the one.
12:26I went, oh my God.
12:28Now, I've heard others go,
12:29well, it could be this.
12:30I go, it could be.
12:31That means he's playing.
12:32Like, if there's a...
12:34I'm not trying to burn your respect.
12:36Don't do all of this
12:37because I kind of think I'm going to be here
12:39and I don't want you to have to do it a second time.
12:40Yeah, if there's a chance
12:42that you are playing,
12:44like, or if there's no chance...
12:46Sorry, I'm going to try that again.
12:47Easy for me to say.
12:48If you're leaning towards not,
12:50you're like, you know what?
12:50I'll take the hand changes.
12:51I'll take the daps.
12:52Because this is our 100th meeting.
12:53There's enough symbol behind it.
12:54There's enough meeting anyway.
12:55Like, oh no, worst case scenario,
12:57I shook a guy's hand
12:57and he decided to come back again.
12:59That, to me, meant
13:00we'll have another chance to do this.
13:02I'm leaning towards playing again.
13:03And I don't know what changed.
13:04I don't know what did it.
13:05But that moment, to me,
13:07where I go, okay,
13:08I have now leapfrogged over the bridge
13:10that's right in the middle,
13:11which is maybe to...
13:13I'm now firmly in the camp
13:15that he's playing again.
13:16My confidence level's in the 80s.
13:18So I'm not in that camp,
13:20but I certainly understand
13:21where you're coming from.
13:21I just took it as,
13:23hey, I'm not sure
13:23and it'll be awkward
13:24if I do come back.
13:25So until I make the call,
13:27you guys just don't worry about this
13:28just yet.
13:30This was Ovechkin with our own buddy,
13:32Tarek El-Bashir,
13:33locally here at Monumental Sports,
13:34works nationally at TNT
13:35as a sideline reporter,
13:37thanking the fans
13:38after what was his final game
13:40in front of them,
13:41at least for this season,
13:42but maybe ever.
13:43Hardly anyone has left the building.
13:46What are your emotions right now?
13:48That's great.
13:50Nice to support us
13:51through all my career.
13:54Obviously, last night,
13:55we had a big win in Pittsburgh
13:57and tonight we need your energy
13:58and we have it.
13:59So thank you very much
14:00for your support.
14:06One more game left
14:07and it's a big one.
14:09So we need you guys
14:11in Columbus to support us
14:13and give us energy.
14:15These fans have stuck with you
14:17through the ups and downs
14:18through almost two decades.
14:20What is your message
14:21to them right now?
14:23Thank you very much, guys.
14:24I love you so much
14:25and, yeah, it's been
14:33tremendous all year,
14:34so we'll see what's going to happen.
14:36Did it make this moment
14:37any more special
14:39that Sidney Crosby
14:40shared this moment with you?
14:42Yeah, our men said
14:44have a battle.
14:45We have lots of hoots to you
14:48and, obviously,
14:49it's a special night
14:52for me and for him as well.
14:53You can hear the
14:54one more year chants
14:56as Ovi's being interviewed
14:57by Tariq El-Bashir
14:59on the big screen
15:00in-house and on TNT.
15:01This was the final call
15:02as heard right here
15:03on the Caps Radio Network
15:04on 106.7.
15:05The fan from John Walton
15:06yesterday.
15:07The final 20 seconds.
15:09Pittsburgh has been swept.
15:10They have one game left.
15:12It's a standing ovation
15:14and what will happen now?
15:16Have we seen the last
15:18of Alex Ovechkin
15:21after 21 seasons
15:22in this building?
15:24Five seconds left.
15:25They're going to let
15:25the clock run out
15:27and Alex is about
15:29to come onto the ice
15:30as soon as the horn sounds
15:31and that's it.
15:32Good morning.
15:32Good afternoon
15:33and good night, Pittsburgh.
15:36The Capitals with life
15:37and Alex Ovechkin
15:39celebrates with his teammates
15:40on a day
15:41we will not soon forget.
15:44Did Alex Ovechkin
15:46play his final game
15:47in Washington, D.C.?
15:48This is where though
15:51the ambiguity
15:51you know
15:52the unknowns yesterday
15:55and just the confusion
15:57for a lot of people
15:58the Penguins
15:59the fans
15:59whoever
15:59how do we handle this?
16:01What do I do with my hands?
16:02Do we go shake your hand?
16:03Don't we?
16:04You're waving me off.
16:05I'd like to say thank you to you
16:06like you did
16:08and the Capitals did
16:08to so many players
16:09of your rook
16:10future Hall of Famer
16:11gold jacket type guys
16:12over the years
16:13and Ovechkin's like
16:14no, no, no
16:15we're good.
16:16Nobody really knows, man
16:17but you said
16:19after yesterday
16:19watching it all play out
16:21seeing all the clips
16:22hearing all the interviews
16:23you're now convinced
16:24he comes back.
16:25Yeah, I mean again
16:26I could change
16:27someone could
16:27someone could let
16:28something slip
16:28or a comment could happen
16:29etc.
16:30But the wave off
16:31to me was a
16:32yeah, I'm playing
16:33that I see
16:35like I'm sure
16:36someone smart
16:36could explain to me
16:37why it's not
16:37I go that's all fine
16:39and good
16:39that look like a guy
16:40that's playing again
16:41that whether he was
16:42enjoying this too much
16:43or wants to see
16:45Crosby for the 101st time
16:46I don't know
16:47what I don't know
16:47the idea
16:48that you wouldn't
16:49go through with that
16:51in case it was
16:52the last time
16:53you see what I'm saying
16:54like your bases
16:55are not covered
16:56you deprived those guys
16:57of the chance
16:57to shake your hand
16:58if it's the last time
17:00like
17:00I couldn't fathom that
17:03if you're 50-50
17:05on
17:05I have no idea
17:07it could go either way
17:08then you might as well
17:10just do it
17:10they would prefer
17:11to have to shake
17:12your hand twice
17:13they'd rather do it twice
17:14than not at all
17:15than not at all
17:15and you told them
17:17you don't get to
17:18basically
17:19he actively said
17:20no to that
17:22and
17:22I think people might say
17:23well maybe he doesn't know yet
17:25and that's fine
17:25maybe he doesn't know
17:25here's Carberry's take
17:27Spencer Carberry
17:27after the game said
17:29we could play those guys
17:30in a week in the playoffs
17:31and then it's a little bit weird
17:33if you did that
17:34I don't necessarily agree
17:35with that for the record
17:36I still think they're just
17:37paying their respects
17:38so it was a fairly harmless
17:39regular season day
17:40there's nothing weird at all
17:41about that
17:41with all the respects
17:42of the coach I love
17:42but the hockey code
17:43part of it
17:43he didn't use the word weird
17:44I did
17:45but his point was
17:46mentally you lock in
17:48those are still
17:49the opponent
17:50that's the bad guys
17:50to that I would say
17:51he had Malkin in his kitchen
17:53the night before
17:53playing hockey with his kids
17:54he spent the entire pregame
17:56with Crosby at the center stripe
17:58I mean
17:58the entire day was different
17:59nothing really felt like
18:01let's stay on our sides
18:02let's be enemies
18:03because we might have to play
18:04seven grueling games
18:05in a week in the playoffs
18:06if we get in
18:07Washington
18:08we're playing Pittsburgh
18:09you know the enemy
18:10and so
18:11that could be the logic
18:12I'm trying to present
18:13another side of it
18:14to me the whole point is
18:16we are acting as if
18:17because yes
18:17there's a chance
18:18that he plays again
18:19yes there's a chance
18:20that we play again
18:20if everything breaks our way
18:22just in case
18:22we are acting as if
18:24this is our list
18:25the last chance
18:25to pay respects
18:27to this incredible player
18:29we are going to take
18:30advantage of that
18:30no it's not the last chance
18:32go to the locker room
18:32he's playing
18:34that's what a player does
18:35if he's still playing
18:36you do that
18:36so to your point
18:37you're writing in sharpie
18:38that he's coming back
18:39at like 85%
18:39I have a raceable pen
18:40whatever you're doing
18:41or some whiteout
18:42okay
18:43I'm now over 50%
18:45that he's coming back
18:46after yesterday
18:47give me a number
18:48so I was 49% sure
18:50he was coming back
18:51uh huh
18:51before that game
18:52I'm now 55%
18:5555%
18:5555%
18:55he comes back
18:5645%
18:57he doesn't
19:00yesterday
19:01was revealing
19:02ever so slightly
19:03and if it told you anything
19:05one way or the other
19:05if you moved in any direction
19:07I think you should have moved
19:08to the
19:08playing
19:09he's playing direction
19:10because again
19:11he had so many chances
19:13he could have turned that up
19:14even more
19:15done the Ovechkin
19:16you know
19:16slash Cal Ripken
19:17skate around
19:18the arena
19:19and high five
19:20a bunch of people
19:20and you know
19:21gone into the crowd
19:22like he could have done
19:23so much stuff
19:24that he didn't do yesterday
19:25he chose not to do
19:26including the handshakes
19:27at the end of the game
19:29and the moments
19:30where you go
19:30well what about
19:31the opening faceoff
19:32like John Walton
19:33in the call
19:34basically said
19:35this is telling
19:36like this could be a hint
19:38wrong
19:39it was not planned
19:40it was not even Strom
19:42Strom said a referee
19:43said to do it
19:43it's not like Ovi and him
19:44got together beforehand
19:45so there
19:47you know
19:47this was
19:48I think very possibly
19:51a chance
19:52where he could have
19:53maybe planned a couple
19:54of goodbye moments
19:55and he didn't
19:56I will say there was
19:57a very emotional shot
19:58of his wife
19:59and the kids
19:59at one point
20:00where the only thing
20:01all day that made me
20:02think this was it
20:03at one point
20:04Danny
20:04the cameras panned
20:05to his wife
20:07Nastia in the front row
20:08with their kids
20:08right on the glass there
20:09and she looked
20:10very emotional
20:12and I wonder
20:13is that just normal
20:15as you're watching
20:15your husband
20:16being adored
20:17by tens of thousands
20:17of people
20:18in what could be
20:20his last game
20:20or it felt
20:21a little bit like
20:22I'm not going to
20:23get to see this
20:24many more times
20:25that was the only
20:26time all day
20:26where I felt that way
20:27yeah
20:28so the way I view
20:29that now
20:29because my lens
20:30I'm so
20:31you know
20:31hardcore on this
20:32and again
20:32I'm still leaving
20:33room open
20:34I could be convinced
20:35another way
20:35if more data points
20:36happen
20:36I took that as
20:37how moving is this
20:38how beautiful is this
20:40all these people
20:41love the person
20:42that I love
20:42right
20:43like we're sharing
20:43we're basking
20:44this incredible thing
20:45where grown men
20:47and women
20:47are screaming
20:48an adulation
20:49for my husband
20:51the father of my kids
20:52this is incredible
20:53this is so powerful
20:54what if
20:55they get eliminated
20:56tonight
20:56because the Flyers
20:57beat a Canes team
20:58that's not playing
20:58any of their best players
21:00and then tomorrow
21:01they play Columbus
21:02and he allows
21:02the Blue Jackets
21:03to come out
21:03and shake his hand
21:04because now
21:04it's not about
21:05the team
21:05and the playoffs
21:06new data point
21:07you know
21:07that was all
21:09a distraction
21:10because we got
21:11one more left
21:11everything in his
21:12post game speeches
21:12was we got a big game
21:13coming up on Tuesday
21:15let's lock in
21:15now
21:17caps are eliminated
21:18Flyers end their season
21:20tonight with a win
21:20you play tomorrow night
21:22Columbus wants to come out
21:23you say come on out
21:24and you give everybody
21:24a big hug
21:25and take selfies
21:26he was also
21:26here's a data point
21:27for you
21:28he sent over
21:28signed jerseys
21:29and he was getting
21:30sticks made
21:31for Crosby
21:32and Malkin
21:33and their kids
21:33after the game
21:34you're not doing that
21:35in a normal game
21:37it's not normal
21:37I acknowledge that
21:38that's something
21:38it is something
21:39what do you guys
21:39think though
21:40you saw
21:40many of you were there
21:41800-636-1067
21:43you enjoyed the atmosphere
21:44the rest of you
21:46have heard the clips
21:47now
21:47seen how yesterday
21:48played out
21:49was that the last time
21:50we see Alex Ovechkin
21:51playing at Capital One Arena
21:53I'll see you next time
21:53I'll see you next time
