00:00There is this you know worry of not existing anymore. It feels like if you don't post it
00:06you're not existing and this is kind of stressing for for many but we have the luck that we've been
00:12through it all and we can kind of control the stress because it's like
00:16okay there is a real life out of it.
00:24We are talking about this generation that never sleeps because it's always connected
00:29always online with that feeling of like I got to produce something, I got to be visible,
00:35I got to be you know projected to the world or I'm not going to be anything if I am
00:43not seen.
00:44So we kind of started to think about this and that's how we created the title you know.
00:50We're probably the last generation that has been able to live through both
00:57era you know the analog and the digital virtual era. New generation they only they started
01:03already with the phone with the ipad with with all the connectivity and so we have the
01:09with the pleasure also had the advantage to being able to judge everything and put it in perspective
01:15while they the new generation they only know this world you know and so they they they're struggling.
01:21I can tell the new generation they struggle as much as they have a lot of connectivity
01:26availability like they have 24 hours everything but on the other hand it's hard to get when you
01:31are in front of a real relationship or a real thing to do it's more hard because you didn't
01:36have to experience when we were younger you know and so there's confusion around the the new
01:41generations which sometimes is for the better actually because they it brings also some new changes
01:46that are positive but sometimes it's also hard because obviously you're not prepared for it.
01:51So it was more a reflection over the old thing you know and that's the generic theme of the
01:57Sleepless Empire album. Then obviously every song has a little bit of a different twist and different
02:02topic but it was for us it was important to that's something we just realized you know okay we've seen
02:08it all and we we're noticing why the newer generation are more difficult on certain things you know.
02:14It's something that we've witnessed throughout the years and it's not just about the new
02:20generations I mean it's valid for all of us we all have a different way to present ourselves and
02:27our jobs we're more connected to the rest of the world and it's great on one side but on the
02:33other
02:33side we always have this urge to create all the time even if when we don't want to or we
02:40would love
02:41to take a break or we have nothing to say there is this you know worry of not existing anymore
02:47it feels
02:48like if you don't post it you're not existing and this is kind of stressing for for many but we
02:55have
02:55the luck that we've been through it all and we can kind of control the stress because it's like okay
03:00there is a real life out of it. I think also the the pandemic has been accentuating this observation you
03:07know even if we didn't want to talk about the pandemic on the album on the lyrics because it's like
03:11okay there is a real life out of it.
03:11It's we felt it as a very blank period that didn't give us any inspiration that's why also it makes
03:17it longer to to write a new full album but we noticed for sure in that time you notice how
03:23much people have
03:24felt alone you know and I felt lonely you know and and that's something that we really noticed because
03:30the fans were so grateful when we just did a live streaming for one hour once a week they were
03:36already
03:36appreciating so much because they felt in company they felt we could share something with other
03:41people and we did also a live streaming show from Milan with an empty venue because of the restrictions
03:47and we had people connecting from all over the world writing they could text us messages that we could see
03:52while we play or after we play and so we see people from Peru from Bolivia from Japan from America
03:59from here
03:59and and it was great because they felt they were getting back together and they were all in the same
04:06situation no matter where you were living so all these has also influenced i think the reflections about
04:12it yeah it's not it's not a criticism it's just a look at it all
