00:00.
00:30Welcome again to the big match, and what a line-up we've got for you today.
00:34Three really outstanding First Division games, and 12 new goals for you to enjoy.
00:38Some of them quite superb, one or two of them, I must say, just plain crazy.
00:42Our main match is Spurs against Everton.
00:47Oh, a good cross by Neyver.
00:49Oh, a point saved by West.
00:52Also, Leeds against Leicester.
00:54And beautiful play by Cooper.
00:56And Manchester City against Manchester United.
01:00Porrigan's come off his line, have got a foot to it, but goling.
01:02And off the line by Oates.
01:04And that City United match must go down now as one of the greatest Manchester derbies for many, many years.
01:10But first of all, that game yesterday at White Hart Lane, also a very good one between Spurs and Everton,
01:16which brought two old England chums together for the toss-up.
01:19Martin Peters captaining Spurs in the absence of the injured Alan Mullery.
01:22Now, John Pratt gets the number four shirt for Spurs, and with Ralph Coates still out of action,
01:27Jimmy Naber continues at number seven.
01:30So that's the Spurs line-up, then, as we turn to Everton.
01:33Alan Ball is captain, having recently recovered from a troublesome groin injury.
01:37Mostly familiar names here, except, of course, John McLaughlin, bought a month ago from Falkirk.
01:42The referee today, George Hartley from Yorkshire, his first ever game at Tottenham.
01:46Among the 40,000 crowd, Sir Alf Bramson.
01:49So Everton to kick off, defending the goal to our right in their blue shirts with white shorts.
01:54Everton with no wins away from home this season.
01:57Spurs unbeaten here at White Hart Lane.
02:05But Everton now playing with so much more conviction that Alan Ball is back and fit in their side.
02:13But it's young John Pratt in for the injured Alan Mullery, with the throw for Spurs.
02:19Mike England to allow that to go over for the goal kick.
02:28Jennings with the kick.
02:36Ball.
02:37Harvey under great pressure there from Pratt, but Harvey getting away with it.
02:41And now Evans.
02:43Down he goes.
02:44Evans, who in fact is in the place of Kinnear.
02:48And Harvey getting a sharp word from referee Hartley.
02:51Incidentally, this is the referee's first match ever at White Hart Lane.
03:00Yorkshireman Hartley.
03:02And Ray Evans with Spurs free kick.
03:05A deep one towards Gilzean.
03:06Gilzean getting a head to him.
03:08Peters getting behind him.
03:09Chivers right in there.
03:11And my goodness.
03:13It was nearly Noles getting in there for the shot.
03:19Shot loose!
03:20Shot loose!
03:22Shot loose!
03:24Shot loose!
03:25Gilzean.
03:33Gordon West, who lost his place last season to Andy Rankin.
03:41Off the head of England.
03:42But into the arms of Jennings.
03:44Get out of here!
03:47Go!
03:48Gilzean to chase this one.
03:49McLaughlin there.
03:50And Kenyon also.
03:51Harvey.
03:53McLaughlin.
03:54Goal straight to Gilzean.
03:56And McLaughlin recovering quickly.
04:05Peters.
04:06To Noles.
04:09Cut out by Ball.
04:12Neat little flick there by Ball.
04:17And our neighbour.
04:23Oh, a good cross by neighbour.
04:26Oh!
04:26Saved by West from John Pratt.
04:30Pratt was in there with a beautiful header.
04:33And West did all that Everton asked him.
04:38Not giving Peters too much chance there.
04:41Oh, and that certainly gave Beale no chance.
04:43Husband now with Royal right up with him.
04:45Husband and down goes Jennings.
04:50Picked that out with no trouble at all.
04:53Neighbour.
05:01Neighbour turned in nicely for Peters.
05:03Oh, man.
05:05Neighbour.
05:07Maybe a chance to cross it.
05:08Preparing to take on his man.
05:10And beat him.
05:11And a nice cross there for Pratt.
05:13Oh!
05:14John Pratt!
05:15and a beautiful goal it was
05:23good work by Neyver
05:25in the first place
05:26a nice little cross
05:29and Pratt there to finish it off
05:37so spares a goal up after 20 minutes
05:41through John Pratt
05:51throw to Everton
05:57Hurst has come forward
05:59not often that he does
06:02ball
06:04Royal
06:06and now Peters to take it up for Tottenham
06:08and a long one to send Chivers away
06:10and West has come roaring out of his goal
06:12and he's done it
06:16sliding on his rear end for a good five yards
06:20who seem to be very busy in the first five or ten minutes of the game
06:23we haven't seen too much of Colin Harvey since then
06:25and it is at the moment in the middle of the field
06:26where spares are looking to better prospect
06:31Beale
06:37Gilzeen nodding that off
06:38very definitely indeed for Evans
06:42cross again towards Gilzeen
06:44the back header
06:44Peters trying to get in
06:46and down Bills West
06:49Kenyon claiming there was a handball there
06:54but nothing given
07:00husband now trying to fasten on that back header from Royal
07:03leaving it there for Henry Yelton
07:04to hit one
07:16now Chivers
07:20thunder in the back there by Royal
07:21but Chivers kept possession
07:23and that's what counted in the eyes of the referee
07:25and that was Kenyon taking Gilzeen
07:27and I would have thought a little lucky to get away with that
07:29but now ball
07:31to Morrissey
07:35Newton
07:37but too hard for anyone up front
07:45but again a lot of aimless long balls being kicked out of defence
07:48which the forwards still don't seem to be able to cope with
07:53and the back header there by Joe Royal
07:54the whistle that signals the end of the first half
07:57and Spurs leading with a goal scored by John Pratt
08:00no it's not half time
08:02players thought for a moment it was half time
08:04but instead of that it's a free kick to Everton
08:07Henry Newton to take it
08:15and Evans to knock it away
08:16and now we do get the whistle for half time
08:20Spurs leading by that goal from John Pratt
08:23scored after 20 minutes
08:25still to come for you to enjoy the big match this afternoon
08:27is that massive Manchester derby
08:29between Manchester City and Manchester United
08:31a lot more besides
08:33but the half time score here at White Hart Lane
08:35is Tottenham Hotspur 1
08:38Everton 0
08:39and we'll be back with you in a couple of minutes
08:53so Spurs get us away at the start of the second half
08:56against an evident side that certainly in the first half showed little of the better form that we've been led
09:00to believe
09:01that they had been showing over the past couple of weeks
09:04looking very much like a side that is lying 17th in the first division with only four league wins to
09:08their credit all season
09:09as Knowles puts that one across for Peters
09:12but a throw to Tottenham
09:13and Chivers already making his advance towards that touchline
09:19Mike England again got into the area
09:23Peters and Gilzeen are also there
09:26two devastating headers of the ball
09:28Gilzeen going towards this one
09:32Chivers
09:36played there for Perryman and played again for Chivers
09:38and he tried one on the volley
09:40which if it had come off would have been such a spectacular goal
09:43but the angle was sharp
09:45and the skill was a very difficult one
09:52certainly Everton at the moment
09:53looking a shadow of some of the great sides
09:54that they have brought down to London over the past few years
09:56Morrissey
10:00and a corner
10:01indeed it is
10:06and Everton now pumping a few men forward
10:08because both Hurst and Kenyon are coming forward for this one
10:10number 10 Hurst you can see there
10:12and there's Kenyon also
10:13there's Hurst with Peters
10:14here's the corner
10:16Royal trying to duck in there
10:17Alan Ball
10:19and it still wouldn't come
10:20no and then it wouldn't come
10:22as Kenyon went in hard on it
10:25and there must have been a deflection off a Spurs defender
10:30the ball's got to be inside
10:32that crescent
10:36and the two big men from the defensive stayed up
10:38there's the corner again
10:40Royal looking for that one with his head
10:41ball is right in there but he hasn't got the inches
10:44Neighbors got the feet but it's not away
10:46Chivers
10:47and Pratt
10:50back there again though
10:51Royal to lay it off there for Kenyon to hit it first time
10:53but over that Spurs crossbar
10:55but really the first bit of sustained pressure that Spurs have had on their goal
10:59for practically the whole of the game
11:01Roger Kenyon will over the bar though
11:14back in the game very quickly for Spurs
11:16McLaughlin
11:20Royal certainly taking a nudge from behind there by Mike England
11:23but the referee didn't spot it on Spurs
11:24and he's going to score well
11:25and oh Chivers under that right foot
11:26and a goal
11:28and a beautiful goal by Chivers
11:31give him a chance like that
11:33and he so rarely fails
11:35a really wonderful shot there by Martin Chivers
11:41crushing it there past Gordon West
11:47beautifully taken goal by the big man
11:52making it 19 in the season for him
11:54and 2 this afternoon for Spurs
11:58well West at least can be resigned to the fact that he had no chance with that
12:04in fact there's a bit of a stoppage there
12:06Joe Royal
12:08when Spurs took possession of that
12:10Mike England in fact went in on the back of Joe Royal
12:12and I think maybe conceivably a little lucky to get away with it
12:16the referee didn't spot it
12:21and Spurs took possession and never lost it
12:24until it was in the back of that Everton net
12:36so really emphasising once again that
12:39Everton at the moment looking but a shadow
12:41from the great sides that they've brought to London over the last few years
12:46and Spurs now rampant as Jimmy Naber takes it up
12:49Chivers inside him
12:50Peters going outside him
12:52that's the one for Peters
12:55Noles
12:57and the cross there towards Gilzean
12:59playing it back there for Perryman to hit it
13:01just past that Everton post
13:06a real whiplash move again by Tottenham
13:09Perryman steaming up unnoticed
13:13England
13:14but not as dominant as usual
13:16ball there trying to lay it off for Royal
13:17Royal is down
13:18ball is in there trying to flick it towards that goal
13:21Gilzean
13:22oh put it straight back into the danger area
13:24ball once more
13:27Newton
13:30McLaughlin
13:34and now Morrissey
13:38making again the right sort of angle for the cross as Royal goes in
13:40this time with the foot
13:41and the goal
13:42but it's not given
13:43not given
13:46husband in fact who banged it in
13:51Gilzean
13:52Perryman
13:53Chivers with his head to lay it off for Peters
13:57played again for Gilzean
13:58for Chivers
14:00and now for Nader
14:04Noles
14:05and he got that across very well
14:08across round over
14:09from Cyril Noles
14:14he was challenged by two Everton defenders
14:16with no space at all
14:17and yet he got across a very good looking centre indeed
14:29oh what a bad one
14:32Chivers
14:33oh and West
14:34and a goal
14:35yes it's given
14:36no dangers
14:38and Gordon West has only got himself to blame
14:41what a bad clearance
14:43straight to Gilzean
14:46Gilzean to Chivers
14:47and that was it
14:49well West must be furious with himself for that
14:53a terrible clearance
14:54and that 1-2 from Spurs
14:58off West's body
14:59and it is in it
15:06and now Perryman
15:09played for Pratt
15:19Perryman again
15:20always in the thick of it in the middle of the field for Spurs
15:22and Peters too
15:23and now for Noles
15:24to Neva
15:31beaten though by a combination of husband and ball
15:33now it's with Alan Ball
15:36oh goal losing it there
15:38it's not been a particularly happy afternoon for him
15:41and now Noles
15:43trying to get Chivers away again
15:45oh and Kenyon almost putting it past his goalkeeper
15:47and again confusion in that Everton defence
15:57Tommy Wright
15:58Royal
15:59Wright going on
16:01Wright trying to get a shot
16:02oh and almost a goal
16:03into his own goal from the other end there by Martin Peters
16:13Harvey
16:17the Everton substitute Howard Kendall warming up on the far side
16:21Harvey
16:23playing it through again
16:24and McLaughlin right in there with a chance
16:25hit it against the body of Jennings
16:29he got in there without anybody seeing him at all
16:35ball
16:35played first time
16:37under that crossbar of Jennings
16:42Howard Kendall warming up
16:45Royal
16:49Newton
16:51and husband
16:53England
16:55Chivers trying to get away from Hurst
16:56and Hurst following him for all he's worth
17:02now it's going to be Morrissey I think who goes off on the far side
17:04Morrissey in fact now hobbling off
17:07and Howard Kendall is on
17:12Royal
17:17watched so closely by Mike England
17:19but evidence throw
17:22Newton with it
17:24Royal
17:26Newton
17:26in fact hitting it straight at Royal
17:28and it's Nulls
17:31Chivers
17:34and
17:34Naber
17:34what a game is Naber's having
17:37Peters
17:38for Naber again
17:39oh played up
17:40there for Peters
17:41a beautiful piece of play
17:43Prattas running in hard
17:44and McLaughlin was in hard as well
17:46and Kenyon got there before
17:48in the other
17:51so good Everton defence on that occasion
17:54and a really sparkling Tottenham move down the left
17:57involving Peters and Naber
18:00what a great game
18:01Jimmy Naber's having
18:03now with a quarter
18:06Gilzean
18:07to flick it on
18:08and now Pratt
18:09will get a shot in
18:10but he is
18:11but it's too high
18:17McLaughlin
18:19Royal
18:23oh that fell nicely for Steve Ferryman
18:26Pratt turning it on nicely for Alan Gilzean
18:29Chivers in the middle
18:32Evans hitting it first time under that crossbar
18:34and it gave him no long for error at all
18:37and Chivers getting in the way of Naber
18:41but that wasn't a very good piece of goalkeeping in the game by Gordon West
18:44allowing that ball to go under the crossbar like that
18:46he had so long to line it up
18:49Evans
18:52gently and neatly back to Jennings
18:59Naber
19:02checking out on ball
19:03that gave him a fair bit of pleasure I would think
19:06beating ball again
19:07and finding Perryman
19:12Evans
19:16good looking cross towards Gilzean
19:19backs him past that post
19:20the linesman kept his flag down
19:22and West felt that Gilzean was offside
19:26looks he may have done his shoulder no good
19:30one of those devastating near post crosses
19:34that won just a glance
19:35and Gilzean gave it that glance
19:43Evans
19:44oh a bad ball there straight to Howard Kendall
19:46Alan Ball
19:49McLaughlin
19:52Royal
19:55a little misunderstanding there Joe Royal
19:58and now McLaughlin
19:59oh just past the Tottenham post
20:03that's twice
20:04John McLaughlin has been right up there in that Spurs penalty area
20:07once he thundered a shot against Jennings' body
20:09and then just a fraction wide with the second one
20:15now McLaughlin
20:22Newton
20:25Hurst
20:29England again making the running for that one and getting his head there
20:33Peters delicately off there for Naber
20:35equally delicately back to Peters
20:36and a lovely ball out there
20:37to Chivers
20:38and away goes Chivers
20:40the referee's given offside though against Alan Gilzean who was right up there with him
20:54Tommy Wright
21:04ball
21:05oh a nice arrogant little flick there though for Tommy Wright
21:08crossed first time
21:09and once more Spurs this time Evans was there for them
21:15ball with the throw
21:17and Wright again giving ball little room
21:20and he's given in turn Tommy Wright little room
21:23but the ball going off Naber
21:24for the corner
21:28Kenyon's gone up
21:29Hurst is already there
21:30ball with the corner
21:33and another corner
21:42lower one this time
21:43Joe Royal hoping to turn it back
21:45and Jennings a wonderful save
21:50he really is the master of those one-handed saves
21:53tremendous great hands he's got for hands
21:55Pat Jennings
21:58husband
21:59long sweeping ball there for Royal to take in his stride
22:02but England has conceded nothing against Joe Royal so far this afternoon
22:06but there's a good shot
22:12really minimum of effort there from Joe Royal
22:15taking that beautifully on his stride
22:22Perryman going in quickly Pratt
22:24a bit like a pin table in there at the moment
22:29now Newton
22:32Wright
22:35Royal
22:41still Joe Royal
22:43Newton
22:44Kendall
22:45better looking Everton move now as Spurs come funneling back
22:48Tommy Wright in possession
22:49Royal
22:51Beal's turn to take him
22:57Evidence throw
22:58we're now in injury time
23:04Royal
23:05Royal
23:05Kendall
23:08the deep cross again
23:09and England once more on the end of it
23:11McLaughlin going in
23:14and husband
23:15and McLaughlin
23:16and kicked
23:17lay off the ground
23:19my goodness
23:20how cool can you get
23:22Cyril Knowles
23:25he stopped it on the line
23:27it looked as though he was prepared to try one or two skills before he cleared it
23:30and there goes the final whistle
23:32the final flourish
23:33and a fine second half by Tottenham
23:35thoroughly deserving it with those two second half goals by Martin Jivers
23:39one a classic and one a gift
23:41to add to the first half goal by John Pratt
23:44a very disappointing performance indeed by Everton
23:48but a fine performance in the second half by Spurs
23:51and so the final score here
23:53at White Hart Lane this afternoon
23:55is Tottenham Hot Spurs 3
23:58Everton 0
24:10Incidentally that's the big match's third visit to Tottenham this season
24:13and in that time Spurs have scored no fewer than 12 goals
24:16and I wonder some of the players afterwards were saying
24:17when are you coming again
24:18well still to come today on the big match
24:20that tremendous Manchester derby
24:22City against United
24:23the goals from Leeds against Leicester
24:25but now here's Jimmy Hill to take a closer look at that Tottenham performance yesterday
24:28well in fact not only when we go to Spurs do they score goals
24:31but they produce vintage football as they did yesterday
24:33if they have a bad performance it seems that the big match misses it
24:36I thoroughly enjoyed their crisp short passing style
24:39vintage Spurs stuff at its best
24:42the big men yesterday Martin Peters was in his usual form
24:45and right bang on song
24:47Martin Chivers I thought wasn't quite at his best
24:50although even not at his best he can still score a couple of goals
24:54but it was the small men if they'll excuse me calling them that yesterday
24:56John Pratt and Jimmy Neighbour who really took everyone's eye
25:00Spurs reserves young players in the making
25:03and it was a pleasure to see them producing this kind of form
25:06first of all we pick up Jimmy Neighbour
25:07and he shows here his extraordinary balance
25:10how he can fall and he's still up quickly
25:12and also the improvement in his laying of the ball off
25:15again resisting tackles challenging for it
25:18lovely first time ball there through from Cyril Knowles
25:21and see the weight of this pass down the line on the overlap
25:24Perryman was offside
25:25but Neighbour is improving in his laying off
25:28now he wins the ball in for me the most classical move of the game
25:32first time up the line from Peters
25:33and there's a left foot layoff right in the space left for Peters to collect
25:38a really lovely piece of football to watch
25:40but he spent all the game tormenting Tommy Wright
25:43here he makes a challenge and deservedly gets the ball back
25:47look at this skill
25:48and a good left foot cross that goes just over Gilzean's head
25:52now back to the first half again
25:54and where they nearly, the combination of Neighbour and Pratt
25:57one clever dribble, nearly put Spurs in the lead
26:00but a fine save there from Gordon West prevented it
26:03but in the end it was exactly the combination of these two young players
26:07that started Spurs on the road
26:09feinting to come inside
26:10going onto that left foot again
26:12a beautiful cross, this time a glancing header from John Pratt
26:15and Spurs a one-up
26:17a really pleasant performance to watch from two such young players from Spurs Soccer Academy
26:22I must mention two defenders, they don't often get a mention
26:25Cyril Knowles because it was the kind of game where everything went right for him
26:29and ended with that ice-cooled clearance off the line
26:32and also Philip Beal
26:33because not only yesterday but in recent matches
26:36he's been so positive and sure in his play
26:38and a rock in the middle of the Spurs depends
26:40now we have some more action for you
26:42and it comes from Leeds United
26:43it's Leeds United against Leicester at Ellen Rowe
26:45where the commentator is Keith Macklin
26:47and Leicester are in the dark shirts
26:48but first of all I want you to look at what we consider to be a bad tackle
26:52by Johnny Giles
26:53where you might well say
26:54are we playing by the interpretation of last year's laws or this year's
27:00Leicester move forward
27:02Leicester move forward
27:03and yet another foul this time by Maidley
27:07now Giles, Giles, Giles the man being spoken to
27:12Giles on Birchenall
27:16it's a free kick to Leicester City
27:20that one hitting Cooper and Birchenall high in the air
27:23straight watching it just in case
27:24and it nearly did agree from the bar
27:26Giles it's a goal by Brown
27:28that one gripped underneath the bar
27:30the straight went to punch it
27:32Brown was there to nod it in
27:35well whether you call that lucky or not
27:38their straight that ball went towering high in the air from Birchenall
27:42Gary Sprayton didn't know whether he was going to drop one for the bar or not
27:50brings it under control
27:53Lorimer Jordan is in the middle
27:55this Gray Gray trying to dribble his way through
27:58and doing it so far
27:59Gremner
28:03Gray and Gremner
28:06Gremner the man pushed up into the attack
28:08as always in a crisis
28:10Eddie Gray that brilliant dribbler of all
28:13pushing it to him
28:14Gremner didn't quite get to it the first time
28:17but finally stabbed it underneath children
28:19and it's 1-1
28:27Greeny getting up well giving Jordan a chance to run
28:31Whitworth to Gremner
28:35trying to win a corner
28:37Jordan saw that well
28:39to Gray
28:42Gray now mesmerizing them again
28:44and across the goal
28:45he's there
28:46going up with another good touch
28:49Gray a superb low pass
28:52there's Gray the man who made the first and the second
28:58there's Lorimer running out of frame
29:11Now we come to the match that really has been labelled the match of the season
29:15and it lived up to it
29:16Manchester City against Manchester United at main road
29:19with a full house of 63,000
29:21the cameras came from Granada television
29:23the commentator is Gerald Sinstadt
29:25standby for a match full of atmosphere and goals
29:29Today's referee is Mr Ray Tinkler from Boston in Lincolnshire
29:34and the flag waving and stud inspecting is being done by Mr Garner from Liverpool
29:39and Mr Brooks from Sutton in Ashfield
29:40The teams have changed ends
29:42and so it's Manchester City in the white shorts and light blue tops
29:48Manchester United in the dark socks which may be the best identification
29:52United kicking from right to left
29:54number seven here Mike Somerby
29:57Bell close to him
29:58Tommy O'Neill sticking to his task well
30:01and giving away the opening corner in the first 30 seconds
30:04actually Tony Dunham was
30:10Somerby with the corner
30:15and that was Doyle's header
30:21and for Lee
30:23and again
30:26it's one of those awkward balls he didn't know where it was
30:30but he might well have scored there
30:36United left an awful lot of responsibility on Stepney
31:06and he's going to be booked for it
31:23Doyle's header
31:25Davis
31:27Mellor
31:29Dunnakey breaking down the left
31:36Intercepted by James
31:40Good work by McIlroy
31:43Kidd is free on the left
31:45McIlroy must give it to him now
31:51Now the linesman is black for the foul on Best
31:54but the referee had whistled for the foul on McIlroy before it
32:01Francis Lee getting the wall right so that Joe Corrigan
32:05by the
32:06far upright can have a sight of the ball
32:11Kidd for Charlton
32:13off the wall
32:14Charlton got a rebound
32:16Best this is dangerous
32:22nearly half an hour gone
32:24and George Best explodes into action really for the first time in this game
32:41Somerby's throw Lee chasing hard and going over that tackle from James brilliantly
32:46and a great cross
32:52Stepney is injured
32:53he made a brave dive and so did win Davis
32:57but the credit there was all for Francis Lee
33:07Best
33:11and Francis Lee is going to be booked for that
33:25he's suggesting absolutely graphically that it was a dive
33:35well Mr Tinker was very close to it from this distance I must say I've seen worse this season
33:44but he's been able to see the morning
33:48the dummy
33:50he's just got himself into war trouble
33:51no he hasn't
33:52he's made a good cross
33:53and that was box header
33:54Charlton
33:55Another one on Best
34:02Tony Dunn let it fly
34:08Best
34:13Somerby to Lee
34:20Still Lee holding up the challenge well
34:24Book
34:26And he's made space
34:29Mellor
34:38McElroy to Best
34:41The crowd not liking it because they think that he got Lee booked
34:46Kids Cross
34:47O'Neill
34:48Best
34:49And McElroy
35:00What a day for the young Irishman
35:10And a really beautiful goal it was
35:13Best taking it here
35:14And then just checking it as the challenge comes
35:17Now this is the set up
35:18Giving it out wide to Kidd
35:20And Kids Cross comes in
35:22Just checked by O'Neill
35:24Stopped by Best
35:25And put in the neck by McElroy
35:31Wild, wild swing there by O'Neill
35:35Which is going to get him booked
35:37So that's three names now
35:39Frank O'Farrell and Malcolm Musgrove
35:41The new men at Manchester United
35:43Francis Lee
35:47Chip forward for Bell
35:49That could have been it
35:52Stepney got out well to smother
35:55And Manchester United begin the second half
35:58With substitute John Aston on
35:59In place of Tony Dunn
36:01Helped off just before the interval
36:03Aston now going to
36:04Have his studs checked
36:06By Mr. Tinkler
36:09Mr. Tinkler quite satisfied
36:12And it looks as though
36:13Aston may well be lining up
36:15In Tony Dunn's position
36:17To do a job as a
36:18Short notice fallback
36:25As Doyle's long ball
36:27James clearance
36:29Lee
36:37Best beaten by Book's tackle
36:39Now Aston
36:44Oaks back to Corrigan
36:51Manchester United leading by
36:53One goal to nil
36:56And no doubt much encouraged
36:58By the way they resisted
37:00City's initial challenge
37:01In the first 25 minutes
37:06Summerby
37:10Davis
37:12Headed away by James
37:13McElroy
37:16Kidd
37:22McElroy couldn't change direction
37:23In time
37:25Dowling to Bobby Charlton
37:26Best free on the left
37:27Here he is put in by a good pass
37:29From Charlton
37:31McElroy steps over it
37:32And Kidd scores
37:33No trouble
37:41Manchester City in absolute disarray
37:53All starting with that pass
37:55From Charlton to Best
37:56McElroy lets it go on
37:59And nobody picking up Kidd at all
38:02Really Manchester City's defence
38:04They are virtually non-existent
38:09Brian Kidd the scorer
38:10His fourth goal of the season
38:12And Manchester City now
38:13With a long road to run
38:17Key of Doyle's header
38:22Fine header it was too
38:29Dwayle
38:31Summerby
38:36Cook
38:38Francis Lee
38:40Pushing it on for Miller
38:44Lee
38:45Lee
38:54Francis Lee would have been
38:56A might offended
38:56If he hadn't got that one
39:02The chance for Francis Lee
39:05To score his
39:06Seventh penalty of the season
39:07And bring his total
39:09To 14 goals
39:11And to put
39:12Manchester City back into the game
39:16That's the weight
39:18On Lee's shoulders
39:19And it doesn't worry him
39:21In the least
39:3213 minutes of the second half gone
39:35And again
39:37Alive
39:38And bubbling
39:39With possibilities
39:56May
39:57Beautiful ball for film
39:59Here it is
40:21One of the hits
40:22From the Malcolm Allison songbook
40:352-2 the scoreline
40:37And difficult to hear yourself
40:39Think about this crowd now
40:45Kid
41:04Manchester City absolutely rampant now
41:07Summerby
41:11What a game of football
41:13This is turning out to be
41:23Wynn Davis
41:24To the bell
41:29Mellon
41:33O'Neill getting
41:34It's put to the ball
41:35For a corner
41:42This is hardly the game
41:43That Tommy O'Neill
41:44Came into
41:45At the back end
41:46Of last season
41:48When United won here
41:494-3
41:50In what was really
41:50An academic exercise
41:53This one really matters
41:57Davis
41:58Got away by Gowley
42:02And dived by Vest
42:04Boo
42:08Morgan
42:12Oaks
42:29Donachy
42:33Somebody needs to cool it down
42:35Now
42:35This ball needs controlling
42:38Aston
42:39Kim
42:46Best
42:49Best
42:49Best is away
42:51Morgan out here
42:52Absolutely unmarked
42:54Corrigan's come off his line
42:55They've got a foot to it
42:56But Gowley
42:57And off the line
42:58By Oaks
43:07Alan Oaks
43:10May have been missing
43:11Once or twice
43:12When it mattered
43:13Earlier on
43:14But what a failure
43:15He was to his side
43:16Then
43:22Bobby Charlton
43:23With the corner
43:27Corrigan's fist
43:28Aston
43:29And it's gone
43:30Enough
43:30From him
43:44Absolute bird
43:45Aventure
43:46By John Aston
43:47And it struck
43:47Somebody on the way
43:48Through
43:48It may have been
43:49Alan Gowling
43:50He seemed to get
43:51The congratulations
44:01Just under five minutes
44:03To go
44:04The city now
44:05Must find some
44:07Reserves of energy
44:08From somewhere
44:11Summerby
44:13Good shot
44:24Might some
44:25Be a magnificent shot
44:27But you will go
44:28A long
44:28Long way
44:29Before you'll see
44:30A better save
44:31Of the match
44:31From Stepney
44:37Stepney
44:37There outside
44:38His far post
44:39Having really
44:40Produced
44:40The save of the match
44:42And one of the
44:42Saves of the season
44:44And he's there again
44:45And lost it
44:46Summerby
45:01And that's how
45:03I finished 3-3
45:03Well that's all today
45:04Hope you've enjoyed it
45:05Last week
45:06We left you with
45:06A young man
45:07Who came into
45:08The West Ham site
