01:16Hello and welcome to Help Me. Wealthy. Weisel show where we find smart,
01:22practical ways to make life run a little bit smoother. And where our in-house tribute department Ash Wicks
01:29valiantly pretends he's not just Googling on the fly. Ash, status report please.
01:36I'm good, how are you?
01:37Yes, very well, thank you.
01:38Look, I've got all the tabs open, probably too many tabs.
01:41I'm limbered up, caffeined up.
01:43I haven't burnt the studio down yet, so we are primed, ready to go.
01:47Now, before you rocket off on the power of caffeine,
01:51we are starting tonight's show with a wardrobe overhauled,
01:55everybody's favourite, especially mine.
01:56And the only person I trust to do that
01:59is my resident fashion and interiors powerhouse,
02:03Chika Keeba!
02:04Oh, my beautiful girl!
02:06How are you, gorgeous?
02:07Hi.
02:08So good to see you.
02:09She even kisses classy.
02:11No, we didn't smoosh the make-up.
02:13She knew that was such a thing.
02:15Let's get to this make-over.
02:18Who are you changing the life of this week?
02:20This week is Deborah with two Bs.
02:23Two Bs?
02:23Two Bs.
02:24And she is an amazing woman.
02:26She's got, you know, a new body.
02:27She's lost a whole lot of weight, had a breast reduction,
02:30didn't know how to dress her new shape.
02:31She was just gorgeous and we had a lot of fun.
02:34You are really enjoying this, aren't you?
02:36I really am.
02:37I'm having the best time.
02:38All right, let's meet Deborah.
02:52Hello, Deb.
02:53Hello, Chika.
02:54So exciting.
02:55It's so lovely to meet you.
02:56Lovely to meet you too.
02:58I can't wait to have my makeover.
02:59Are you ready?
02:59I'm so glad you're here.
03:01I just need help with everything.
03:03Hi, I'm Deb.
03:04I'm 56.
03:05I live in the country.
03:07Two kids and two stepchildren.
03:09Did anybody nominate me?
03:10No.
03:11I was sitting in bed.
03:12I reckon it was about half past six on the morning
03:14that I saw it on Instagram and thought, why not?
03:17I guess having a makeover, I'd feel more confident when I'm out
03:21because I've always been overweight.
03:23You feel like you don't fit in or that you're sort of being looked at
03:28because of the way you are.
03:30Got to probably 120 kilos and then decided that I needed to do
03:34weight loss surgery and have lost 33 kilos.
03:38Show me the weight.
03:39Come through.
03:40I love going into a dressing room.
03:42Oh, this is great.
03:45This is all you?
03:46Yes.
03:46Oh, my goodness.
03:47A little bit of hubby, but mostly me.
03:48Husbands never get very much.
03:49No, exactly.
03:50So tell me, Deb, is there any reason why we're doing this?
03:52Is there a particular thing coming up that you want to look amazing for
03:56or is it just for yourself?
03:57It's just for me, but at the end of the year,
03:59I'm going on a trip over to India with all my girlfriends.
04:01So I would love to be able to fit in India with colour
04:06and just feel like part of it.
04:09Okay, so talk me through what you normally wear
04:11and what you want to change.
04:13Okay, so most of the time I wear pants.
04:15I like matching sets.
04:17I tend to like matching sets.
04:18And I tend to hide because that's just always been me.
04:23So you just have the frumpy stuff that covers everything.
04:26Here's a dress.
04:26That's my art smog.
04:28Oh, no.
04:29How would I describe my style?
04:31I don't have one.
04:32In tracksuit, most of the time, I do wear bright colours,
04:35but it'll be just plain shirts and a pair of pants,
04:38lots of black, and that's about it.
04:40I tend to still wear big clothes.
04:42Like, I don't wear anything fitted.
04:44It's just that mindset and changing that mindset.
04:47But I don't know what to buy.
04:48When I bought these shirts,
04:50I always went for the biggest style of that shirt.
04:52Also, too, you probably were still dressing
04:54for what you thought you looked like,
04:55not to what you now look like.
04:56Yeah, exactly.
04:57And, you know, we all have areas that we don't love
04:59and we can hide them.
05:00You look absolutely extraordinary.
05:02We're going to make sure we don't buy you any oversized shirts.
05:05You've got enough.
05:05Yes.
05:06And we're going to make everything a little bit more fitted
05:07and show off this beautiful body that you've worked really hard for.
05:11But I feel like you just need to have a few more pieces,
05:13like a blazer, a few more dresses.
05:15I love dresses, but I don't wear them.
05:17Because?
05:17Because I don't feel comfortable.
05:19To me, they always make me look big.
05:21They make me look big around my middle area.
05:23So that means you're getting dresses
05:24that are probably too loose and flowy.
05:26Yes.
05:26And we need to put some belts on.
05:27You know what?
05:28We're going to make sure that that is not what we do with you.
05:31Yep.
05:31And I also feel like we need to try on some things
05:34that maybe you might look at and say,
05:35there is no way in the world I'd wear that.
05:37We are going to look into the greens and blues
05:39just for something different.
05:40And we'll just give it a go and see what it looks like.
05:41Yep.
05:42Because I think that's what it's all about.
05:43What I want to gain is confidence and maybe presence in myself
05:49is just being me and finding who I am.
05:52OK, Deb, I think we've got enough here.
05:55Let's head to Blue Illusion and start shopping.
05:57I'm open to anything.
06:01I cannot wait to see where Debra with two B's is heading.
06:07But we have headed to the kitchen.
06:09I love that.
06:10My favourite place with my favourite friends.
06:13I was just going to say exactly the same thing.
06:15I'm a shortcake queen.
06:15My book is now available in all good bookstores
06:19and a lot of the very bad ones as well.
06:22Today we are doing another Back of the Fridge Fine Dining,
06:26which has absolutely set this nation on fire.
06:30You are really improving my cooking skills.
06:32And I've noticed that too.
06:33And you are going to love this because any idiot can make it.
06:37And I am said idiot.
06:39Yeah.
06:39The bulk of this Bits and Bobs bread and butter pudding is normally thrown away.
06:46This Ziploc bag lives in my freezer and it's like crust or an end of a raisin loaf.
06:52Instead of throwing it away, I put it in the Bits and Bobs.
06:55Did you mug a flock of pigeons for this?
06:57So what you do, first of all, grease it.
07:02Yes.
07:03Yes.
07:04Then I want you to tear these up.
07:08Like this.
07:09Look at that.
07:09Look how fun that is.
07:11Mix it up.
07:12Gotcha.
07:12In terms of sweet and savoury.
07:14It can't all be sweet.
07:16Then you need cream.
07:19Eggs.
07:19Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch.
07:23Yeah.
07:24Gentle.
07:25Milk.
07:25You whack that in.
07:28Vanilla.
07:31That's it.
07:31And you just pour it gently over.
07:33Look at you go.
07:34Look at that.
07:35Keep going.
07:35The pouring skills on the man are unbelievable.
07:37You're cooking.
07:38I know.
07:40Sultanas.
07:40I only just recently found out that sultanas and grapes are the same thing.
07:43Yeah.
07:44I also thought dogs were all boys and cats were all girls.
07:47So continue.
07:49What's that butter?
07:50Melted butter.
07:51A minute in the microwave.
07:52You can get a bit of white sugar or brown sugar.
07:56That is it.
07:58Are you ready for some TV magic, Ash?
08:01Always.
08:02Put it in there.
08:04And...
08:05Oh.
08:06What?
08:07So quick.
08:09Look at that.
08:09Look.
08:11Melty.
08:11It is melty.
08:12I'm going to serve you.
08:13My hands are very glistening right now.
08:15Do you want to take a break and wash your hands?
08:16No, no.
08:16I want to keep it.
08:17Enjoy yourself.
08:17It's butter.
08:18I'm going to lick my fingers later.
08:19Okay, great.
08:19In private.
08:20Look at that already.
08:22I've never had bread and butter pudding.
08:24He's never had bread and butter pudding.
08:28Okay, we'll start here.
08:29Yes, yes, yes.
08:31That's really good.
08:32I've got a bit of chocolate in there.
08:33Yes.
08:33All right, ready?
08:39Whoa.
08:39Whoa, whoa, whoa.
08:40It tastes pretty good.
08:41Isn't it amazing?
08:43Mm.
08:43I think he needs a little bit of time alone with that bread and butter pudding.
08:47Stick around after the break.
08:48Dr. Michael is taking a closer look at something a lot of us overlook.
08:53Our eyesight.
08:53Don't know what that says.
08:55You need to get an eye test.
08:56See what it did there?
08:57Overlook, eyesight.
08:58We'll be back in a sec.
09:00I'm really proud of you.
09:01I'm proud of me too.
09:02Now clean up this mess.
09:03Okay.
09:03Healthy, Wealthy and Wise is brought to you by Specsavers.
09:17Welcome back to Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.
09:20When we think about performance, whether it's in sport, work or everyday life,
09:26I know you thought I was going to say the bedroom,
09:28we usually focus on things like fitness, strength or skill.
09:31What about our sight and hearing?
09:33Even the smallest change in how clearly you see or hear can slow you down,
09:40throw off your timing or make the simplest task a whole lot harder.
09:45That's why our very own Dr. Michael's been running some possibly unorthodox tests
09:51to show just how much of a difference our senses make when it comes to staying sharp.
09:57Anybody who knows me knows that I absolutely love my sport, but AFL's always been a bit of a mystery to me.
10:08When I first moved over to Australia, people would say,
10:10Mike, do you want to come and watch the footy?
10:12And I would say, you mean the soccer?
10:14They'd say, no.
10:15You mean the rugby?
10:16They'd say, not quite.
10:17You mean the AFL?
10:18Yeah.
10:19Let's have a crack at it.
10:20But I've actually not had that much experience.
10:23So today I'm down with the Marceline Eagles and they're going to put me through my paces.
10:26And as a doctor, I'm really interested in how they stay fit and healthy throughout the course of the season.
10:34Lani.
10:35Hey, how you doing?
10:36Good, how are you?
10:37Yeah, nice to meet you.
10:38Likewise.
10:39What do you like so much about playing footy?
10:41I've always really loved footy.
10:43I've been a big footy fan.
10:44But I love coming and hanging out with my friends for a couple of nights of the week
10:49and then playing games on a Saturday.
10:50It's like my favourite thing to do.
10:52What are the guys doing here?
10:53This is a handballing drill.
10:54So the idea of the drill is to make a good connection with the ball,
10:57pass it to your teammate, make sure they're calling.
11:00Now you're the team ruckman.
11:02Yes.
11:02Is that right?
11:03Yes.
11:03So you're the person that gets involved in all the pushing and pulling?
11:06Absolutely.
11:07Always body on.
11:08Plenty of bodies to push around.
11:10I'm here with Wes, who's the most experienced player on the team.
11:13How long have you been playing for?
11:14Played juniors with the boys back in the 90s.
11:17Unofficially, pretty much since I came out of the womb, I probably had a footy in hand.
11:21Somebody was telling me you had a baby midway through the season.
11:25Yeah, I had my third little baby in June.
11:29But that didn't stop you from coming back and playing the rest of the season?
11:32Got a couple of games in this year, which was really nice that the team made space for me.
11:36The team's incredibly supportive.
11:38The club's incredibly supportive.
11:39You're involved in all those scraps, so have you been injured?
11:46Yeah, I had a couple of decent injuries.
11:48In 2022, I did my ACL.
11:51And then in 24, I tore my labrum in my shoulder.
11:53I think the more you play, the more you realise that doing some of those warm-ups has really
11:57helped put you in the best stead possible.
11:58How do you keep yourself fit when you're not playing?
12:00Sometimes I go to the gym.
12:02Yep.
12:02I just run around with naces and nephews.
12:05Well, you're fatter than me anyway.
12:06That's for sure.
12:07The girls are really putting me through my paces, but I must say, I'm starting to see
12:18why people are so obsessed with AFL.
12:20It's infectious.
12:21Now, I've been lucky enough to travel the world with the Scotland and the Australian football
12:26teams.
12:27But whether you're an elite athlete, or whether you're just playing with your friends in
12:30the park on a Saturday, the rules for keeping fit are still the same.
12:37Warming up properly reduces your risk of injury by up to 30%.
12:40Dynamic stretching, like what these guys are doing, is what you need to do, not static stretching
12:45that we used to do in the 90s.
12:47So don't skip the warm-up.
12:49Even a 2% loss in hydration can affect your performance on the pitch, and nobody wants that.
12:54We'll actually want to win the game.
12:56It's important as well that if you're sweating, you replace the electrolytes.
12:59So a sachet in one of these can really help.
13:02So during the game, you're covering a lot of Ks, you're burning a lot of calories, so
13:05it's really important that afterwards you're refueling, you're getting enough protein,
13:09you're getting enough carbs, so that you're ready for the next game.
13:13Two to three strength sessions per week can reduce your risk of ACL and hamstring injuries
13:18significantly.
13:20When it comes to recovery, remember to listen to your body, but nothing beats a good night's
13:27sleep.
13:27Shhh.
13:34Fitness, strength and recovery play such a huge part in sports, but peak performance relies
13:40on more than that.
13:42Vision plays a huge role too.
13:44On the field, that fraction of a second can be the difference between taking a mark or getting
13:49tackled from the side.
13:50Aussies don't muck about.
13:51So I've created my slightly unscientific eye test to put these guys through their paces.
13:57So I'm going to stand in between the goals and I'm going to point to an eye chart and
14:03if you can read what it says on the line, then you can have a shot to goal.
14:07If you can't, then you need to go and get an eye test.
14:09I don't even know what he's pointing at.
14:10I can see the C.
14:11What?
14:12Which one?
14:13I don't know.
14:14I don't know what that says.
14:15Kick the ball through the goal.
14:16Yeah, go for it.
14:17Heya!
14:18The goals are here.
14:19Oh, it says something different.
14:20Oh no, don't tell it.
14:21What does that say?
14:22Should have gone to Specsavers, hey?
14:23Scottish football tryouts.
14:24Yeah, go for it.
14:25Oh!
14:26Read the last line.
14:27Six points.
14:28You can read those?
14:29Yes.
14:30Come on, don't let us down.
14:31Don't let us down.
14:32Yay!
14:33Woo!
14:34Woo!
14:35Woo!
14:36Woo!
14:37Woo!
14:38Woo!
14:39Woo!
14:40Woo!
14:41Woo!
14:42Woo!
14:43Woo!
14:44Woo!
14:45Woo!
14:46Woo!
14:47Woo!
14:48Woo!
14:49Woo!
14:50Woo!
14:51Woo!
14:52Woo!
14:53Yeah, I was gonna cheat, and just say what they said before.
14:58Don't even..
15:00You want the tiny one!
15:01Don't give me the tiny one!
15:02You want the tiny one?
15:03Yeah, I'll give the tiny one.
15:08Can you read that?
15:09Can you kick?
15:10Can you read this?
15:11Yeah, of course not.
15:13Oh, nice kick, nice kick.
15:14Yay.
15:15Yeah!
15:16So, this is a stitch up.
15:18Because I didn't wear my contacts because I thought we were filming TikToks.
15:21Oh, I've got something in yellow.
15:24Yeah.
15:25I can't see the yellow.
15:26Dr. Mike.
15:27Oh, yeah, it does, yeah.
15:28Dr. Mike rocks!
15:29Yeah, go for it!
15:31Oh!
15:35High five!
15:39So, I can really see why people play this game.
15:42Whether you're playing at a local level or a professional level,
15:44it takes a lot of fitness and it's crazy,
15:46but after one session, I am done.
15:49I am done.
15:50I am getting back into the hospital
15:51and I'm leaving it up to you guys.
15:53So, if it's been a while since you've had an eye check,
15:55go and get it done, please,
15:56because it could be the difference between taking a mark
15:58or copping a falcon.
16:00Is that the right term?
16:01Copping a falcon?
16:02From an eagle?
16:03Right, that's it.
16:09Interesting.
16:10Ash, permission for me to ask you
16:13an uncharacteristically respectful question?
16:16Fire away.
16:17You have a footy podcast.
16:19Different code, of course.
16:21Do you reckon you'd keep up with that team?
16:23No chance.
16:25They'd run over the top of me immediately.
16:28I'm probably better suited to entertainment,
16:31like pre-game entertainment.
16:33After the break, some serious toilet humour is coming your way.
16:37First up, my number one crush, Brendan the Drain Man,
16:41is answering all your burning questions and avoiding mine,
16:45which is, will you marry me and run away forever?
16:47And then, Shane Kenny Jacobson, everybody's favourite,
16:52is going to pull out his plunger in the box of death.
16:55Can't wait.
16:56Can't wait.
16:57See you soon.
17:04Welcome back to Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.
17:06We're so thrilled you've joined us tonight.
17:08Now it's time for No Dumb Questions.
17:11Once again, Brendan the Drain Man is on the road.
17:16Why he's not on set with me here might have something to do
17:20with a 100 metre rule.
17:22But anyway, no hard feelings.
17:24Take it away, Brendan.
17:26G'day, I'm Brendan from The Drain Man,
17:32and there are no dumb questions.
17:34Ethan J asks,
17:38Why can't I pour bacon grease down the drain?
17:41Ethan, you can pour anything down a drain if you're silly enough to.
17:46Basically, any sort of grease or fat,
17:49if it gets a chance to cool down, it goes hard and it solidifies.
17:55And it's then very hard to move on.
17:58It becomes a major issue for the water authorities to deal with
18:02because it accumulates with the other things
18:05that are getting flushed down the drain
18:07and it becomes a much bigger problem.
18:09And they're called fatbergs.
18:11Pretty sure they pulled a 26 ton fatberg
18:14out of a London sewer about six years ago.
18:20It's pretty big.
18:21Jack L asks,
18:23What causes the bad smell coming from the shower drain
18:26and how do I fix it?
18:28Usually, the smell coming from a shower drain will be
18:32because there's a whole heap of hair and soap scum build up
18:38in the trap of the shower.
18:40If you just take the grate out of the base of the shower and clean it,
18:43it usually can fix the problem
18:45unless there's a lot of hair that's accumulated over many years.
18:49Ava R asks,
18:51Is it safe for my dog to drink the water from the toilet?
18:55If you let your dog kiss you,
18:57you're probably going to have an issue somewhere along the track.
19:01Seriously, if you let your dog into your bathroom
19:04to drink the water out of the toilet,
19:06I think it's you that's got the problem, not the dog.
19:08Myla H wonders,
19:10What do you do if you accidentally drop jewellery down the drain?
19:14Myla, I'd suggest you start crying.
19:17It's probably not going to be found very easily.
19:21If it is, it's sheer luck.
19:24If they get through the trap,
19:25then the water will push them down the drain so far
19:28that we won't be able to find them.
19:30With a camera, we found a very expensive wedding ring
19:34about 30 metres down the drain
19:36and it was lodged in amongst tree root and toilet paper.
19:40The customer was extremely happy.
19:42It was an heirloom piece of antique jewellery.
19:46Connor S asks,
19:47A snake swimming out of a toilet and biting someone on the bum.
19:51Is it really possible or is it just an urban myth?
19:53It's an urban myth.
19:54In short, it's an urban myth.
19:56I've seen snakes and other reptiles in drains,
20:00like turtles and that sort of thing,
20:02but I can't imagine them crawling up a pipe
20:05and then through the trap of the toilet
20:07and coming and biting someone on the rear end.
20:10That's a good fantasy, great story.
20:13I don't think it's going to happen.
20:16I just love him.
20:18What a fountain of forbidden knowledge.
20:21Now, it's time to take a deep breath and steady yourself
20:25because it's time for The Box of Death.
20:34And tonight's guest is actor, author, comedian, publican,
20:38National Australian Treasure.
20:42Please welcome Shane Jacobson.
20:44Thanks.
20:45Treasure.
20:46It's not about treasure.
20:47You are a treasure.
20:49You are a treasure.
20:50Well, Australia's run out of diamonds if I'm the treasure.
20:52My God.
20:53How are you?
20:54I'm great.
20:55I'm really good.
20:56I'm just thrilled to talk to you.
20:57I'm thrilled to be in your orbit.
20:59Oh, thank you.
21:00But we'll have to keep the niceties for a little bit later, Shane Jacobson.
21:05You know, I've only said yes to doing this because I like you so much
21:08and we're friends.
21:09I wouldn't do this for anyone else.
21:10These things, any show like this, anything like this,
21:14that terrifies me.
21:15The Box of Death?
21:16Yes.
21:17Yeah, if I die, you need to know I've got four children
21:19and you're going to end up paying for their education,
21:21so good luck with this.
21:22Okay, please, say goodbye to Shane Jacobson.
21:25No, we will catch up, of course, and we are going to catch up
21:29during The Box of Death, but there's a bit of a twist.
21:31What?
21:32While I am asking a few questions here and there, easy ones.
21:36Yeah.
21:37Very, very easy, relaxed.
21:39You have to be holding something with your giant man paws.
21:43When you say something, you mean whatever's in that box.
21:47Well, it could be this, but if you're more of a
21:50I-want-to-see-it-before-I-decide guy, I want to introduce you to...
21:56Let's go Lara first.
21:57Turn around and meet Lara.
21:59What's Lara?
22:00She is a...
22:02She's a python.
22:04Is Lara the lady or the snake?
22:07No, Lara is the python.
22:08Oh, the python.
22:09Is she gorgeous?
22:10Yeah.
22:11You know how...
22:12No, you're good.
22:13You're from a distance.
22:14You look great from a distance.
22:16And distance is good.
22:17So a python, they're the things that choke people, yeah?
22:19Yes.
22:20Then why is she wearing it as a choker?
22:22Why is that...?
22:23If you don't want Lara...
22:24No, God, no.
22:25You can go for Henrietta the Spider.
22:27Where's Henrietta the...
22:28Just behind you.
22:29Oh, my God.
22:30How many people are behind this cow?
22:32She is a...
22:33She is a golden...
22:34Oh, it's a huntsman.
22:35She's a golden huntsman.
22:36Are they...
22:37They're not poisonous, are they?
22:38No.
22:39Huntsmans aren't.
22:40No, not at all.
22:41What does that mean?
22:42Why is there a little...
22:43Oh, is this just you pretending to be a spider?
22:45No, they're not dangerous.
22:46That's a big huntsman.
22:48You can say no to them, but it means you've got to say yes to the box of death.
22:57Is it going to be worse than that?
22:58It's not going to be worse than that, is it?
23:00It could be worse than that.
23:01It could be worse than that.
23:02In the box of death.
23:03It's getting worse the more you say it.
23:08So I've got a hand...
23:10Whatever I pick, I've got a handle.
23:11You have to hold it in those giant knits.
23:15No, I'm not touching your nose, they're terrible.
23:18No, you have to touch it.
23:20I'll...
23:21Oh my God.
23:22We're going to go to a break.
23:23Yeah.
23:24And when we return, we are going to find out if it's Lara, if it's Henrietta...
23:31Can I say it?
23:32It's the...
23:33Box of death, death, death, death, death, death, death, death.
23:38Don't go away.
23:42This segment is brought to you by Bob Jane T-Mart's Best Tire Price Guarantee.
23:51Welcome back.
23:52I do love the smell of panic on a Saturday night.
23:55We are sitting here with Australian Jack of All Trades, Shane Jacobson.
23:59Thank you so much for joining us.
24:01No, don't say thanks yet.
24:02I may regret this decision.
24:04I've had a thought.
24:05Now, Box of death, is it Gwyneth Paltrow's head?
24:08Have you seen the movie Seven?
24:09Guys, what are we going to do?
24:10He's guessed it.
24:15It is certainly not Gwyneth Paltrow's head.
24:18All right, okay.
24:19All right, good.
24:20All right.
24:21Is it Ash Wicks's head?
24:22Ash?
24:23No, I'm over here.
24:24Oh.
24:25Why are you dressed like that?
24:27Someone's got to clean up, Shane.
24:29Whatever this thing spits, it must be a lot of it.
24:34All right.
24:35It's time.
24:37It's time to make your decision.
24:40Shane Jacobson.
24:41Well, I'm not going to handle that snake because it's terrifying and the spider is equally as terrifying.
24:46But I don't know what's in that box.
24:49I'm going with whatever's in that box.
24:51Yes?
24:52You're going with whatever's in the box of death.
24:59All right.
25:00Let's see what's in there.
25:01Who's he?
25:02Oh, God.
25:03I went dressed like that.
25:04You don't have a machete on you, do you?
25:05Oh, I thought it was a snake.
25:07Oh, God.
25:08Okay.
25:09Who's this guy?
25:10Where do these people come from?
25:12This is Mike.
25:13This is Itchy.
25:14Itchy.
25:15Why?
25:16Itchy.
25:17My God.
25:18The what?
25:19Blue tongue lizard?
25:20Blotched blue tongue.
25:21Oh, my God.
25:22I'm just trying to get used to this.
25:24They've got really sharp claws.
25:26Oh, yeah.
25:27A little bit.
25:28Not very sharp.
25:29Not like goanna sharp.
25:30There's no need to snap.
25:31It's been a big day for all of us.
25:32All right.
25:33Start.
25:34The.
25:35Clock.
25:36I heard you've taken over the reins of a country pub.
25:39Yes.
25:40Loads of five-star reviews, of course.
25:42What would you like to say to Joe Mama, who gave it two stars and said,
25:46Food took forever and was yuck.
25:49Yeah, that was the night I was in the kitchen.
25:51They were banging on.
25:54Is it true that when the head of IGA saw you take off all your clothes for the full Monty,
26:01they quickly added a weekly special.
26:04Which was?
26:05Salami Twiggy Sticks.
26:08No.
26:10No, but they, but what they did sell a lot more of was Tic Tacs.
26:15You are the Chief Scout of Victoria.
26:18I know you're a little bit distracted and a little bit nervous, but right now recite
26:22the Boy Scout oath.
26:23Go.
26:24On my honour, I promise to do my best to do my duty.
26:28I think that's enough.
26:29You get my point.
26:30I'm a bit distracted here.
26:31You look like you're making this up.
26:33I'm going to have to Google it.
26:35Is he really the Chief Scout of Victoria?
26:37Yes.
26:38Or is he a liar?
26:39No, I'm definitely the Chief Scout of Victoria.
26:42The Chief Scout of Victoria is actor Shane Jacobson.
26:45Bingo.
26:46As I live and breathe.
26:48Yeah.
26:49I release you from the box of death, Shane Jacobson.
26:51Big round of applause for Shane.
26:53I don't think he's going to...
26:54You were surprisingly calm with him.
26:59Yeah, well, I'm a bit frozen.
27:01The thing is, he's really clamped onto me.
27:03Hey!
27:04Hey!
27:05Look relaxed, you're on national television, Shane.
27:07Look relaxed.
27:08I'm feeling crazy.
27:09Come on.
27:10Would you like to have a hold?
27:12Yes.
27:13Oh my God.
27:14It's more fun.
27:15Can I ask you one question?
27:16Can I ask you just one question?
27:17Imagine if he bit me on the neck and I died right here on television.
27:21Imagine we're going to film it.
27:23Oh, I love this lizard.
27:25Is it a lizard?
27:26Yeah, it's a lizard.
27:27Yeah.
27:28Look, he's hugging me with his tail.
27:30She's come off maternity leave.
27:32That's why we understand what it is to lose your mind.
27:37No, that's the position they...
27:38But before we do that, from your nerves of steel to nerves behind the wheel, Adam Morris
27:43is back.
27:44And today he's solving the stress that loads of us fail.
27:49Parking.
27:50I'm worried I'm going to be replaced by that lizard.
27:54You should be.
27:55Yeah?
27:56Yeah.
27:57Let's watch.
27:58Driving is one of life's great pleasures.
28:01Although in saying that, it can also be a bit daunting as well, especially if we're
28:04talking about attempting a reverse park.
28:06But you know what?
28:07With a few little tips and tricks, reverse parking can be a breeze too.
28:11Okay, as you're about to pull up next to the car that you're about to park behind,
28:15position your passenger side mirror and the other car's driver's side mirror so close
28:20that if they were any closer, your mirror would have to ask for consent.
28:23Then, when you select reverse, and look, some fancy cars will do this for you, but dip
28:28the passenger side mirror down so you can get a better look at the back of your car,
28:31so that way it will hopefully stop you from scratching your wheels.
28:34Now, as you reverse back, when you're B pillar, now that's the bit that holds the roof up.
28:39When it gets to the back corner of the car, turn at that car as much as you can, almost
28:44like you're going to attack it, okay?
28:45Then, creep back a little bit more like this, and then when your A pillar, that's the bit
28:50that holds the windscreen in, get to that same back corner of the car, turn back the
28:55other way really, really hard, and then you basically should fit in that reverse park as
29:01snug as a bug, and hopefully that makes reverse parking a whole lot easier.
29:05Hmm.
29:06I mean, unpopular opinion, Ash, but if you can't park a car, you don't deserve a licence.

29:48After the break, we are back with Debra with two Bs and Chika with two cheeks as they dive
29:56into the racks in search of Deb's brand new style for her brand new life.
30:02I'm ready.
30:03Ah!
30:04Come on!
30:05The big reveal is still to come.
30:07Don't miss this.
30:08I'm in love for the moment and I can't hold.
30:15Welcome back to Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.
30:16If you're just joining us, welcome.
30:18Before the break, we met Debra with two Bs.
30:22She has changed the shape of her body and I'm getting the idea that she is sick of being
30:29invisible.
30:30Is that right, Chiefs?
30:31That is exactly right.
30:32She is loving her new look and her new feel and she wants the clothes to match how she's
30:37feeling on the inside.
30:38And she's also off on an overseas trip to India, which is a country full of colour and
30:43just the most beautiful sights and scenes.
30:45Yes.
30:46And she really wanted an outfit or a wardrobe that she could take with her that made her
30:49feel as good as she's looking.
30:51Well, this is a first, a makeover with a passport.
30:54I know.
30:55How good is that?
30:56That's the really fun part.
30:57Let's have a look.
30:58Hi, Deb.
30:59Hi, Chika.
31:00It is so good to see you again.
31:02Are you excited?
31:03I am.
31:04Now, three things we're doing today for you.
31:06We're dressing for your beautiful new body.
31:07Yes.
31:08We're going to put a waist on you and find a gorgeous dress.
31:10And some clothes for your trip to India.
31:11Are you ready to do it?
31:12Yes.
31:13Let's do it.
31:14Deb, I would love you to meet my friend, Donna, who owns this beautiful store.
31:17How are you?
31:18Welcome to Blue Illusion.
31:19We're very excited to be here because we're looking for some colourful bits and pieces,
31:22which I think we can see quite a few pieces around here.
31:25So should we go and have a little look?
31:26Yep.
31:27That'd be great.
31:28Let's do it.
31:29Now, Deb, I know we talked about blue and green when we were in your wardrobe.
31:33What about this?
31:34What are we thinking?
31:35Absolutely love this sort of a layering piece.
31:36That's a beautiful colour.
31:37And then as far as pants go, is this something that you would actually like?
31:40Together, I like them.
31:41I would grab this dress as well.
31:43I think if you're in really hot weather, this is going to be great and you can accessorise
31:48it with a felt.
31:49It's a nice loose dress.
31:50Yeah.
31:51Now, blue and green is new for Deb though because when we were in your wardrobe, there
31:53wasn't that much.
31:54But I just thought with her colouring and the fact that she's got these great green glasses,
31:56that we need to really embrace these two colours.
31:58Come on, Deb.
31:59I think it's a nice dress, but I don't know if it's right for you what we're doing with
32:05you at the moment, trying to show off your waist and make you look sexy and gorgeous.
32:08It's a pretty colour.
32:09It's a gorgeous colour.
32:10Yeah.
32:11But I just feel like it's not doing enough for you.
32:13Oh, Deb.
32:14You look amazing.
32:15Come and have a look in the mirror.
32:17And the great thing about a top like this is you can actually ruch it up a little bit
32:20so you can hide.
32:21It can be, you know, hideable to the scenes.
32:23But I'm loving the shoulder pad.
32:24Doesn't she look amazing?
32:25She looks amazing, but I think she needs a scarf.
32:27I completely agree.
32:28See how that just changes the whole outfit.
32:30It just adds that pop of colour, but it's still in tone.
32:33I also noticed over here, Deb, that beautiful blue dress.
32:39What do you think about that?
32:40Love that.
32:41I think that's gorgeous.
32:42Okay, let's go grab that.
32:43Now, I also like the idea of opening it up and wearing it sort of as a bit of a kimono
32:45over a pair of jeans.
32:46Would you do something like that?
32:47I probably wouldn't have, but it's a great suggestion.
32:49Okay, let's give that a try.
32:50What about these?
32:51Perfect.
32:52It looks so good.
32:53Like, do you like the layering of how it feels?
32:55Yeah, it looks great.
32:56How light and flowy and it just really elevates the denim look.
33:00Yeah.
33:01The great fabric.
33:02Deb, would you do denim?
33:03Yes, I would.
33:04I love that jacket.
33:05It's so cute with the smooth detail.
33:07Would you do double denim?
33:08I think we've got a denim that could go back with this jacket.
33:11Because that would look gorgeous.
33:12Oh my gosh, you look amazing.
33:14And with the cami t-shirt and the denim.
33:17Yeah.
33:18I mean, everything's, you know, showing.
33:19Perfect.
33:20And I think we need to get great green eyes for that reveal.
33:22Deb, you look hot.
33:23But I think it's time for hair and makeup now, so come on.
33:25Let's go.
33:32How long have you two been friends for?
33:33Probably 35 years.
33:34We met each other at football.
33:36I was quite loud.
33:37She was as loud.
33:38I love it.
33:39And we bonded.
33:40Are you nervous to see what we've done to her?
33:41I'm really excited.
33:42Yeah.
33:43She really is, like, fashion.
33:45She's always been the one that's got the makeup on, the matching hair, the bags, the shoes,
33:50like, of our group.
33:51I think with the journey she's been on for her weight, she's just going to be really confident.
33:55I'll be teary, I think.
33:56Oh, that's perfect.
33:57We get tears.
33:58That's good.
33:59Okay.
34:00Can you believe it's about to happen?
34:02I can't wait.
34:03Oh, you know what?
34:04She so deserves this.
34:05And I'm excited for the reveal as well.
34:06You must be getting nearly ready there, Deb.
34:07I'm ready.
34:08Ah!
34:09Come on.
34:13Oh, my goodness me.
34:14Look at this.
34:15Oh.
34:16What a beautiful.
34:17I didn't know you'd do that to me.
34:18That's really special.
34:19You look magnificent.
34:20I feel pretty.
34:21And you look pretty.
34:22Those colours on you are gorgeous.
34:23Everything's just working.
34:24Oh, amazing.
34:25That's time for chate.
34:26It definitely is, Donna.
34:27That's a very good idea.
34:28Oh, my goodness.
34:29Oh, my goodness me.
34:30Oh, my goodness me.
34:31Look at this.
34:32Oh, what a beautiful.
34:33Oh, my goodness.
34:34Oh, my goodness.
34:35Oh, my goodness.
34:36Oh, my goodness.
34:37Oh, my goodness.
34:38Oh, my goodness.
34:39Oh, my goodness.
34:40Oh, my goodness.
34:41Oh, my goodness.
34:42Very good idea.
34:43Come on.
34:44Let's have a drink.
34:45You deserve this so much.
34:47Woo!
34:48It's been so much fun having time with you.
34:50I've loved it.
34:51And I've really enjoyed it, too.
34:52It's been a great experience.
34:53Thank you to you and Blue Illusion.
34:55It's just been wonderful.
34:56Fantastic.
34:57Well, you deserve it, and you're going to look hot tonight when you go out.
34:59And India.

35:06Bye.
35:07Enjoy.
35:08How gorgeous.
35:09Isn't she a beautiful woman?
35:10I've just realised, though, my gran lied to me.
35:11She said the blue and green should never be seen.
35:12I know, and it's wrong, because it should be seen.
35:13Because isn't that the most beautiful dress?
35:14Stunning.
35:15You are so clever.
35:16Oh, thank you.
35:17Do not go anywhere.
35:18After the break, we have been given VIP access.
35:19Yes, us, to visit Dim Sim Lim's Kitchen, where tastiness is a given.
35:20Signature honey chicken.
35:21Better than a Chinese restaurant.
35:22Stick around.
35:23This segment is brought to you by Blackwell.
35:24Firstly, the blue and green should never be seen.
35:26The blue and green should never be seen.
35:27I know.
35:28And it's wrong, because it should be seen.
35:29Because isn't that the most beautiful dress?
35:30Stunning.
35:31You are so clever.
35:32Oh, thank you.
35:33Do not go anywhere after the break.
35:34We have been given VIP access.
35:36Yes.
35:37Us.
35:38To visit Dim Sim Lim's Kitchen where tastiness is a given.
35:41Signature honey chicken?
35:42Better than a Chinese restaurant.
35:43Stick around.
35:44I'm in love.
35:45I'm in love.
35:47This segment is brought to you by Prime 100,
35:50vet-recommended single-protein diets.
35:55Thank you so much.
35:57Welcome back.
35:59We missed you.
36:00Now, we talk a lot about looking after ourselves on this show,
36:04Healthy, Wealthy and Wise, but what about our pets?
36:07From the dogs and cats to, yes,
36:11even my magnificent bunny, Chicago,
36:14all our pets deserve to have the best outlook as well.
36:22Our dogs are precious little angels and they can do no wrong,
36:26but sometimes they can be a little bit gross.
36:29Smelly farts, bad breath, eating stuff off the ground.
36:34It can all be a sign that something is actually wrong with your dog.
36:37So what is normal and what's a red flag?
36:41Does she have bad breath?
36:43No.
36:44How do you know?
36:45Because he licks my face a lot.
36:47Yeah.
36:47Does he get itchy?
36:49Yes, he gets itchy around the legs.
36:51Sometimes he's a naughty boy and he licks his bits,
36:53but I yell at him.
36:54Why do boys do that?
36:55I don't know.
36:55It's weird.
36:56Men do it too, don't they?
36:57I reckon if they could, they would.
37:01Some things are perfectly normal, just like in humans.
37:05But if your dog is having a lot of really stinky farts,
37:08or if they're constantly licking or chewing it themselves,
37:11then it can be a sign that there's something wrong on the inside.
37:13Does your dog fart a lot?
37:18Or maybe a few little sneaky, stealthy ones.
37:21Yeah, they do something terrible.
37:23Clears the room.
37:24I mean, there are probably times when other members of the family fart and blame it on him.
37:28But when he does fart, they're vicious, of course.
37:30Are you ready, Bodie?
37:31Most of the dogs that I see at my vet hospital are there because there's something wrong with what is being put into their dog bowl.
37:37The most important thing for people to remember is that they have to feed their dog a balanced diet.
37:43Something that contains all of the vitamins and minerals that their dog needs to live not just a happy life, but a long life.
37:49You do want some dinner!
37:51Let's go, come on.
37:52If your dog is showing red flags like persistent or intermittent diarrhoea, a good first step is changing from what you're currently feeding them to a quality, single-protein, low-inflammatory food.
38:03Prime 100 has a really good range of single-protein diets designed to be low allergen and great for sensitive tummies.
38:10And, of course, if symptoms persist or get worse, make an appointment to see your vet.
38:16Be proactive rather than reactive about your dog's health, like you would yourself or any member of the family.
38:23A really big part of that is what you put into their bowls.
38:27Good nutrition can make all the difference.
38:31All right, class, get out your notebooks.
38:34You're going to want to remember this for later.
38:37Trust me, especially you, my daughter Peg.
38:40It's your favourite meal of all time.
38:42Vincent Lim is in the kitchen with a recipe you're going to lose your mind over.
38:48Let's check it out.
38:53Hi, I'm Vincent Lim, and today we're going to be making one of my signature dishes, honey chicken.
39:02So let's get some chicken.
39:04Morning, boss.
39:04How are you doing?
39:05Morning, how are you?
39:05I'm good, I'm good.
39:06What do you recommend?
39:07Chicken feet?
39:08You can do it, yeah.
39:09No, I'm kidding.
39:10We're back from the market and I'm in the kitchen.
39:17We've got our chicken thighs here.
39:19We're just going to cut these into bite-sized pieces.
39:22This recipe is actually very special to me.
39:24In one of the most popular dishes at my restaurant, we would be cooking 100 kilos of this a day.
39:30It was absolutely crazy.
39:31We're going to add a little bit of meat velvet.
39:34Instead of adding egg, it acts as a binder.
39:37A little bit of water.
39:37This is a Chinese method, velveting.
39:40You know when you go to a Chinese restaurant and the meat's always very, very tender?
39:43That's what we're doing here.
39:45We're just going to massage for about a minute just to get all the flavor in there.
39:47Now this is all marinated.
39:49We're going to set this aside.
39:51In a separate bowl, we're going to add two-part self-raising flour, one-part corn flour.
39:56That self-raising is going to puff up the chicken.
39:59The corn flour is going to make it crunchy.
40:01Now we're going to add cold water.
40:02Make sure it's not warm.
40:04If you add warm water, it's going to cook the batter and you don't want that.
40:07We're going to mix this in.
40:08Get all the lumpiness out.
40:10Once it's all out, we're going to add a little bit more water.
40:13Thin it out.
40:15And that's the consistency we're going for.
40:17Not too thick, not too thin.
40:20Now, we're ready to fry.
40:23Walk on maximum heat.
40:26We're going to add oil into the wok.
40:28If you're at home, you can use a deep fryer.
40:30You can use a pot.
40:32My recommendation is to use a wok because it will fry evenly.
40:35Let that build up to about 180 degrees.
40:38We've got our vermicelli noodles.
40:39What we're going to do is we're going to break off a little bit.
40:45Nope, not possible.
40:48We're going to break off a little bit of it.
40:51And we're going to throw it in to fry.
40:53It's going to puff up.
40:54Move pretty quickly because it's going to burn.
40:58Done.
40:59Now put this aside.
41:01We're going to put the chicken into the batter.
41:02You're going to dirty one hand and you're going to keep the other hand clean.
41:06Mix it all in there.
41:08The trick that we use in the restaurant, cover your hand in the batter.
41:12So when the oil splatters on you, it won't burn you.
41:14It'll just hit the batter.
41:15Now we're going to grab the chicken and you're going to be very, very careful.
41:19Slowly one piece at a time into the oil.
41:23We're frying this for about seven to ten minutes until it's golden brown.
41:27Moving it around so it doesn't stick.
41:29If it's joined together, just use your ladle or your spoon.
41:33Cut it up a little bit.
41:35When it's closer to ready, all these bubbles will go away.
41:38All the oxygen is finished escaping and that's when you know it will be super crispy.
41:41I think a lot of people don't know this, but honey chicken is actually Australian.
41:45Back in the day when the Chinese people migrated to Australia, they needed to create a dish that
41:51the Westerners would enjoy.
41:52Now we've got honey chicken.
41:54Now the chicken's ready, we're going to strain it.
41:57After you've poured out the chicken, we're just going to go ahead and hit it with honey,
42:01sugar, custard powder, a little bit of water.
42:06Turn on maximum heat, stir it in.
42:15And this is how you make my signature honey chicken better than a Chinese restaurant.
42:19Look at that, gold nuggets.
42:23I'll catch you guys next time.
42:27Beautiful.
42:28And that brings us to the end of another episode of Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.
42:33A huge thank you to all our beautiful guests, our experts and especially to you at home for
42:39joining us.
42:39We're so thrilled you're here.
42:42How are we doing over there, Ash?
42:44Coffee kicking in?
42:45Pretty sleepy, but I've got some heart palpitations and I'm a little bit afraid.
42:49You're a little bit frail.
42:51And next week, we've got another Roo rescue.
42:54Oh my goodness.
42:57Wow.
42:58We're heading to the beach with the very handsome Dr. Michael.
43:01I'm from Scotland, where the only thing you need to worry about when you get in the water
43:04is getting eaten by the Loch Ness Monster.
43:07And Guyton Grantley, amazing guy, will be braving the box of death.
43:15Until then, relax.
43:17You have done enough for one day.
43:21So have you.
43:22Oh, thank goodness.
43:23See you next week.
43:24We'll see you next week too, Ash.
43:31Uh-oh.
43:41Three more men.
