00:45No wonder today's buyer Chanel would like to bring her husband Luke to live here.
00:51And with a healthy budget of two to three million, prepare to have your minds blown.

01:11What has brought you to here?
01:13I am originally from Tamworth.

01:20Well, I've got family, big family here.
01:22I do a lot of work here in Tamworth as well.

01:38I do residential homes mainly in the Tamworth area.
01:41I think location's really nice.

01:45It's got everything that you need in regards to, to shopping and amenities.
01:49And I do most of my work here.
01:52It makes it a lot easier if I'm actually in town.
01:55Our style at the moment is kind of rustic industrial mesh with a bit of farmhouse.

02:05So that's, that's easy to accommodate.
02:08I love the old Federation homes.
02:11The sun pulled towards the charm of, of that style.

02:18I like doing all that kind of stuff.
02:21Painting and yeah, putting my own touches on things.
02:23But if it's, look, hey, if we find a house that everything is spot on and I don't have
02:29to do the reno, then that's fine.
02:33Right in the heart of New South Wales, New England region, Tamworth is where country charm
02:40meets a buzzing regional city.
02:43Now it's best known as Australia's country music capital.
02:46But Tamworth is loved for so much more.
02:50And it's a booming regional hub with the welcoming feel of a small town.
02:56Well, it might just be the perfect harmony for Chanel and Luke.

04:45But it really is, as you can see, set up for entertaining.
04:49When we first come into the house, I really liked how it was all open plan.
04:53And how all the areas sort of connected with each other.
04:56But then you've still got your private areas to get away to.
04:59I really love that entry way.
05:02You walk in, but you see straight through to the back.
05:06And yeah, the kitchen is amazing.

05:09We can do a lot of entertaining in there.
05:11And have a lot of friends and family around, which is huge for us.

08:18This home dates back to the 1890s.
08:21It's probably one of the most prestigious homes in this area.
08:25When you were growing up in Tamworth, did you look at this area?

08:31I didn't live here.
08:31But I would always look in the area.
08:33And I would often walk around and dream about which house I'd buy
08:37and see myself sitting on the veranda having a cup of tea or a cup of coffee.
08:42We've heard about your wife's dream.
08:45How do you feel about a grand home like this?
08:48Yeah, it'd be very nice to live somewhere like this.
08:51And I think being a bit closer to town too.

13:17So, for the first time, you could easily bring a boat down the side.

13:31It seems to tick a lot of our boxes with the size of the yard and the style of the

17:31In the meantime, I am off to soak up this town's wonderful atmosphere and learn a little bit more about
17:38what makes Tamworth such a hit with its residents.
17:43I must say, Georgia, this is the first time I've been into this park.
17:48I'm emotional seeing the light horse statue.
17:51My grandfather, he was a light horseman as well.
17:53And this really shows the duality and the appeal of this region is that you've got the heritage, but it's
17:59also got a youthful spirit.

18:02I think that's what Tamworth's all about, recognising and paying tribute to the history, but also making it a thriving,
18:08prosperous city and region to come and live in for young families.
18:12Now, I mentioned, of course, the Country Music Festival, but there's events here all year round.
18:17The city absolutely comes alive for the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.
18:22More than 30,000 people flock here and we're constantly trying to build on bringing new things to Tamworth.
18:29In April, we had the Taste Tamworth Festival.
18:32We've had more than 40 local businesses come on board to bring about different experiences and food and to really
18:38show their local produce,
18:39like Jack's Creek beef and trout.
18:42But I think something that you also have a great reputation for is you're so close to the heart of
18:47Sydney, 45 minute flight,
18:49but you've just got this incredible lifestyle and your services here are really something to be proud of.
18:55Oh, it's amazing.
18:56Tamworth Regional Council does so much to make sure that the community is put first and that there are the
19:02services available.
19:05I grew up in the country originally, but moved to the city and was doing university there and actually came
19:13to Tamworth on a nine month contract.
19:15Now, three years later, I have just bought my first home with my fiance, getting married in Tamworth,
19:21and we've decided to stay here and make a life hopefully with a young family eventually in Tamworth.
19:26It's a really special place to live.
19:29You're never going to leave.

19:32First house, we'll see if I'll be looking for another one a few years down the track.

20:12I think initially we quite liked it.

20:24Is that because you really have in your heart, you love heritage.

20:40I love the carpentry, which I don't often say, but I'm like, that carpentry was fantastic.

20:51We might have to compromise a few things with that one.
20:55Like it didn't have the pool.

20:57It probably didn't have room to put a pool.
21:01So that leads us to house number three.
21:03Straight away I knew I was going to be impressed before we walked in the door.
21:07I knew it was going to be a very high quality, a very high standard home.
21:12But I haven't really shown you a massive big shed.

21:17And the third property, there's definitely room to put one at a later stage.

21:21And you would have space to put it down the side.

21:24It had the fencing for the dog.

21:27So what do you think you will do?

21:34But we absolutely fell in love with it.
21:38We definitely might have to talk to the bank and see how far we can stretch our budget
21:42to see whether we can be in a ballpark.
21:44For a home that you will probably live in for the rest of your life.
