01:06Friday Night Knicks is presented by Corona.
01:09As tonight, it's the Knicks' second-to-last game of the regular season
01:12as they play host to the Toronto Raptors.
01:16And the Knicks take the court.
01:17They've been really good at home lately.
01:19They've won six straight here at the world's most famous arena.
01:23Hi, everyone.
01:24I'm Bill Pito.
01:25Great to have you with us.
01:26And the Knicks have also dominated the Raptors,
01:28winning the last 12 games in a row over Toronto,
01:32including 4-0 this year.
01:33And the smallest margin of victory for the Knicks over Toronto this year,
01:3616 points.
01:38The Raptors tonight will be shorthanded.
01:40Both former Knicks not playing.
01:41R.J. Barrett and Manuel Quickly are both banged up and will not play.
01:44And for the Knicks, this is the second of a back-to-back.
01:47So Mid-McRide is also out tonight.
01:48Our Eastern Conference standings presented by Kia.
01:51Boston's magic number to clinch the number two seed is one.
01:54They play the Pelicans tonight.
01:56And for the Knicks, if they win tonight,
01:58they clinch at least the third seed in the East.
02:00And Cleveland will be locked in at four.
02:03As we now go down to our Hall of Famers,
02:05Mike Green and Clyde Frazier, guys.
02:07Billy P., thanks.
02:08Good evening, everyone.
02:09Last week, the Knicks vowed to obviously try and finish
02:11with the best possible seed.
02:13But perhaps more importantly,
02:14vowed to finish the season strong playing good basketball.
02:17Well, a follow-through on that vow.
02:20Four straight wins, including the last two, Clyde,
02:22the winning against the Hawks in Atlanta,
02:24and then last night against the Boston Celtics,
02:26which was a heart-filled victory for the Knicks
02:28because Josh Hart came through with maybe the best game of the season for him.
02:32Yeah, he was really moving and grooving, Mike.
02:39All right, folks.
02:40Back to the series of this.
02:41Hart was in the fourth quarter.
02:43He ran amok.
02:44Backdoor plays.
02:45You saw the three-ball.
02:47Normally, you know, he's bringing the glue.
02:49But this time, he brought the offense.
02:51Look at that posting and toasting.
02:53The Villanova connection was working.
02:56And this was the first victory ball, putting the Knicks up by five.
02:59But then they came within three.
03:01Then Hart had another victory ball.
03:03So draining and painting them to seal the deal for the Knicks.
03:08You see, last night, the number is so efficient.
03:11And that fourth quarter dominant, six of seven from the field hit.
03:14All three of his threes, a great second half for Josh Hart.
03:18Meanwhile, for the Raptors, they're trying to make their first playoffs in four years.
03:21Hard to believe, though, with two games left, they can still finish anywhere from fifth to ninth.
03:26And they'll be shorthanded, as mentioned.
03:28No R.J. Barrett, no Emanuel quickly.
03:30But their key player all season long has been Brandon Ingram.
03:33Yeah, the new acquisition.
03:34He was an all-star this season.
03:37So he's had a good season.
03:38He leads them in scoring with 21 a game.
03:41And the last game, folks, he had 38.
03:43That was a season high for him.
03:4510 of 11 from the free throw line.
03:47So he has it all.
03:49He's just been injury-prone throughout his career.
03:52Remember, second pick overall coming in out of college.
03:55Never fulfilled that promise.
03:56But looks like he's found a home now in Toronto.
04:00So the Knicks know they've had trouble against him previously because he's 6'8".
04:04So they must contain him tonight.
04:06Terrific numbers.
04:07As Clyde mentioned, the injuries, that's really the only thing that's held him back from not being a multi-all
04:12-star.
04:13But this year, he's played in 75 of their 80 games healthy and playing well.
04:18Of course, it's always fun when you play against your former team, OG Ananobi.
04:22The first six and a half years of his career with the Raptors.
04:26They're the team that drafted him.
04:27And now here with the Knicks.
04:29And on a great stretch.
04:30Knicks and Raptors coming up on Friday Night Knicks.
04:35Friday Night MSG.
04:37Knicks and Raptors game of the week.
04:40Whatever it takes to make it to you, I do it all again.
04:44Hey, I got it.
05:03Knicks basketball is presented by Chase Knicks and the Raptors coming up here momentarily
05:09at the world's most famous arena, Game 81.
05:11Everybody, can you believe it?
05:13How you doing?
05:13Alan Haunt here in the Lexus GameSide studios.
05:15And Jalen Brunson known, of course, for scoring.
05:17But lately, playmaking has been a big part of what he's been doing with this team as you're
05:22seeing him get more involved and getting others involved as well.
05:25Carl Anthony Towns said he's done a great job of utilizing us.
05:28And we've done a great job of making the most of those opportunities.
05:32It's a two-way street.
05:33Of course it is.
05:34You've got to make the shots when he passes you the basketball.
05:37And that's what we've seen.
05:38A lot of conversation, however, about the two-man game that has developed between he
05:42and Towns.
05:44And that has been something special here over the last couple of games.
05:47Because Brunson's numbers, especially with the passing, as we look at Caesar Sportsbook
05:51presenting today's advanced statistics, just look right there.
05:54It's not just recently.
05:55Last 17 games, 9.4 assists.
05:59And the first 56, you see the difference there.
06:01Three straight with 10-plus assists.
06:02He's done that twice this season.
06:04Can he get to four?
06:05We'll see tonight.
06:05And look at the assist to Towns over the last two games.
06:08It has been a two-man game with Brunson and Towns getting ready for the playoffs.
06:13Could the Raptors be a first-round opponent?
06:16Stay tuned.
06:18Second-to-last game of the regular season on a beautiful evening for the Knicks and the
06:23Raptors in Madison Square Garden.
06:25Genesis starting lineups.
06:27And the usual starting five for Mike Brown and Brunson Bridges on an OB Hart and Towns.
06:31Meanwhile, again, no Emanuel quickly, no R.J. Barrett.
06:34So Jacoby Walter and Jamal Shedd.
06:37A couple of second-year, but nice young players.
06:40Barnes and Ingram, both all-stars this year for these Toronto Raptors.
06:45Are GMC keys to the game?
06:46Professional grades to your local GMC dealer.
06:49Clyde?
06:49Yep.
06:50These keys look familiar.
06:51I had the similar keys to the last game.
06:53And essentially, this is what the Knicks have to do to get another championship.
06:57Cat and JB starting to get that chemistry going.
07:01The three-ball, whether they're making it or defending it, they gave up 16 threes.
07:06They made 15.
07:07So they've got to continue to do that and tighten up their defense.
07:10They want to prevail.
07:12This is a team that they've won 12 consecutive games against.
07:15So they can't become complacent tonight.
07:18The magic number for both teams to clinch a certain spot is one.
07:23Knicks, they get the victory, and they clinch at least the third spot.
07:27Still a possibility of the second, but the Celtics have to lose their last two.
07:32And for Toronto, one win, and they guarantee at least six,
07:37which is the first round of the playoffs, and they wouldn't have to do the play-in.
07:40The Raptors just won two consecutive games against the Bulls.
07:45So they're in position.
07:47But tonight, without RJ, without IQ,
07:50some of the hoopla is taken out of this game.
07:53But the Knicks can't look at it that way.
07:55They've got to come out and take no prisoners tonight.
07:57We saw Darko Ryakovich in his third year as head coach of the Raptors.
08:03Maybe the most under-the-radar head coach in the NBA.
08:09He has done an excellent job with the team this year.
08:13Meanwhile, the Raptors are a good, solid road team.
08:15They're four games over 500 on the road, 22-18.
08:20Ingram leans in.
08:21Ananobi, excellent defense, just kept his hands straight up and gets the block.
08:25Vincent O.G. former Raptor, always a little more drizzling flowing against them.
08:30Towns against Barnes.
08:32Barnes, 6-8. Towns is 7-footer underneath.
08:36What a pass from Towns and an excellent cut from Bridges.
08:40Towns averaging three assists.
08:42Head up, eyes wide open that time.
08:45His playmaking has improved all season long.
08:48As Hart gets the deflection.
08:51Let's take a look at Towns.
08:53Looking to isolate.
08:55Perno, you see Perno comes over?
08:57But you've got to stay on the ball's side.
08:59So he was the culprit.
09:00Point guards would be very proud of that pass.
09:06Bridges on Ingram.
09:08Ingram proves he turned it over.
09:10He's got a good handle, folks.
09:12He likes his shaking peak.
09:13And lethal from mid-range.
09:15McCabe Walter knocks down that three.
09:17He has been shooting great from long distance since the All-Star break.
09:21Actually, the last 25 games, he's at 47%.
09:25Warmer number one pick for the Raptors.
09:29Knicks, of course, here at home, 29-9.
09:31It's been an excellent season here at the Garden.
09:35Towns.
09:37Back up top, Brunson.
09:39Brunson can take his time.
09:40Can't hit the three.
09:41Rebound Barnes.
09:42Barnes averages seven bounds.
09:44He's a complete player.
09:46Hart tries to poke it away and does.
09:48Bridges comes up with a loose ball.
09:49Second turnover by the Raptors now.
09:53Ingram.
09:54Towns from well beyond the arc.
09:56No problem for Carl Anthony Towns.
09:59Knicks dishing and swishing.
10:02Good defense creating offense now.
10:04So, Cat has had a hand in the nice dish underneath.
10:07And now, the three ball.
10:11Again, the Knicks have won all four meetings.
10:14Play five this year.
10:15The NBA Cup changed a lot of things in terms of you.
10:18Sometimes you play an extra person in your conference or an extra team five times.
10:22Barnes.
10:22Another turnover.
10:24And Brunson gets this steal.
10:25Brunson improving his defense in the passing lane.
10:28Brunson goes right at Shedd.
10:30Shedd small, but he's a good, tough defender.
10:32Towns drives inside.
10:35Carl Anthony Towns from well behind the arc.
10:37And another one from well above the rim.
10:40Towns dishing and swishing.
10:44Remember, he opened the game a sweet dish inside.
10:47Then he had the three ball.
10:49This time, the master blaster.
10:53So, again, Towns driving and thriving.
10:57The Raptors need time.
11:00Just a few taps.
11:01It's made with New Yorkers in mind.
11:03It's direct.
11:04It's no nonsense.
11:05And it's the best way to join in on all the sports betting action.
11:13Good start for the Knicks.
11:15A 7-3 lead.
11:17The Chipotle real difference maker.
11:19The victory last night.
11:21Number 52 on the season.
11:23Mike Brown now owns the Knick record for most wins in first year
11:27as head coach of the Knickerbockers, Pat Riley, had it.
11:31Clyde, what's impressed you most about the job Mike Brown has done this year?
11:34He's unflappable, Mike.
11:36He reminded a lot of my coach, Red Holtzman.
11:39So, whether things are good or bad, he's an even keel.
11:42He's always cool and calm.
11:44And that relates to the players.
11:46So, this team, a very good team.
11:49They like each other.
11:50And it's manifested on the court with their sharing and caring.
11:53A very collaborative approach in terms of not only listening
11:58and taking a lot of input from his assistants,
12:00but from the players as well.
12:02That three-pointer is off the mark.
12:04And he's also, Clyde, not hesitant to try things
12:07and change things if they're not working.
12:09Yep.
12:10The student of the game.
12:12You see him on the plane.
12:13We ride with these guys.
12:15He's always the last guy off the plane.
12:17Always on that computer working.
12:21Brunson backs in, backs in.
12:25Floats it up and in.
12:26Jed's tough again and strong, but he's only six feet tall.
12:30Yeah, Ingram, uh, belated a tip.
12:32He should have been coming double on Brunson.
12:40Barnes, double-team.
12:42Jed's going to try a three.
12:44Not shot off the mark.
12:45Rebound Towns.
12:45Quick outlet.
12:47So, the Raptors have missed the last two three balls.
12:50Brunson previously inside.
12:55Brunson picks up on the double-team.
12:57Towns finds Bridges again.
12:59Turn, shoots.
13:00Oh, yeah.
13:00Can't get it to go.
13:01Ingram the rebound.
13:02So, the Bridges had seven consecutive points to start the game last night.
13:09Raptors also played last night.
13:11Deflected out of bounds.
13:12An easy victory against the Heat.
13:13They beat the Heat back-to-back games.
13:15Mixing Ingram had a curve.
13:17Season-high 38 in that game.
13:20So, the Raptors have it now right in front of the Knick bench.
13:23There's Ingram.
13:24Six-foot-eight.
13:25A.J. Lawson just checked in.
13:28Ingram averaging 21 a game to lead the Raptors.
13:34Knick defense has been up to the task.
13:36Coming up with a couple of steals.
13:40Scottie Barnes to Ingram.
13:43Able to shoot over Josh Hart.
13:45In and out.
13:46And Towns grabs the board.
13:53Ingram picking up Brunson.
13:54Now, Purtle there to help.
13:57And an Ovi.
13:57No hesitation.
13:58Can't get that to fall.
14:03There's Lawson.
14:04Barnes tries a three-pointer.
14:06That misses.
14:07Raptors a basket case now.
14:10Oh, look at Bridges.
14:12Bridges wheeling.
14:13Got bumped and a foul.
14:14Walters bucked him.
14:16And Bridges a chance for a three-point play.
14:18And this again goes back, Clyde, to Josh Hart.
14:21He gets the rebound and immediately looks to push.
14:23Yeah, the Knicks have been looking to run.
14:25Previously, Bridges missed a 12-footer.
14:28But this time wheeling and dealing with the 8-footer along the baseline.
14:33Shooting one as well.
14:35Replay presented by Heineken.
14:36Enjoy Heineken responsibly.
14:38I mentioned the seven consecutive fours he scored in the game last night.
14:42Only ends up with 10, Mike.
14:43So we don't like that about him at times.
14:46He disappears.
14:47Well, he didn't miss a shot in 31 minutes.
14:50Four for four.
14:50He also didn't have a turnover.
14:52But he had the team best plus-minus in the game last night.
14:56Yeah, I saw it at the 17, so.
15:01Josh Hart just picked up the foul.
15:03He wants a challenge.
15:05Right in front of the Knick bench.
15:06They had a good look at it, but they are not challenging.
15:09At this point in the game, it doesn't really make sense.
15:14The last game, we had no challenges.
15:17There's the hook.
15:18See, that was, even if Hart knocked the ball away, he couldn't get it.
15:22So not a good foul.
15:24Ingram gets passed.
15:26Shot no good.
15:27And then Josh Hart now saying to Curtis Blair, he just did the same thing again.
15:30The Knicks are complaining that Ingram, like a lot of players,
15:33they use that hook underneath the defender's arm to try and get an advantage.
15:37But Hart is always into it with the officials.
15:40So that's a frivolous play there.
15:42You see, because the last foul he made, he's testing the official on the next one
15:46to see what he was going to call.
15:48And then he just exacerbated the problem.
15:50So he's got two fouls.
15:52Well, it's easy for me to say because I never got in the habit of arguing at the fishing.
15:56So, you know, it's the difference.
15:58I think it fires hard up.
15:59You see, he's always talking to them the entire game.
16:02So I think it's part of how he gets into the game.
16:05That's like when Earl of Pearl, Mike,
16:07when he liked to get arguing at the refs,
16:09and I go, don't get this man mad.
16:16Make him smile.
16:17Yeah, that was part of his strategy.
16:20Some players, though, as Brunson, a little shake and bake up the Towns,
16:24some players, it takes them off their game,
16:26and they exert too much energy complaining.
16:28Towns to spin!
16:29And the finish!
16:31Carl Anthony Towns with a terrific start.
16:33He's three for three from the field.
16:34Razzle-dazzle tonight by the big man.
16:38Elusive off the bounce.
16:40Nixon now scored 12 straight points.
16:43Barnes up top.
16:44Capote.
16:45Look at the Nick defense.
16:47Good job contesting.
16:50Barnes inside.
16:51Get some room.
16:53Couldn't get it.
16:54Bridges with the rebound and the push.
16:59Towns going to try another three-pointer.
17:07Barnes is a lot of a play-making, by the way.
17:10Yeah, Barnes averaging five assists.
17:12Former Rookie of the Year with their Raptors.
17:19Hey, Jacoby Walter.
17:20They're high on this young man.
17:21Nice move there.
17:22Able to get it to go.
17:25Named after Jordan, folks.
17:27Jacoby is Jordan.
17:29And then, uh, Kobe.
17:32Jacoby.
17:33He's only 21 years old.
17:37Brunson gets.
17:38Fires.
17:39Now the Knicks have gone cold.
17:41They missed their last two three-ball.
17:46Knicks are five from six from two-point range.
17:48One of five from beyond the arc.
17:52Here's Lawson.
17:54Obviously, without an IQ, they're searching for a point guard.
18:00Emmanuel quickly.
18:01I just got some plantar fascia that he's dealing with.
18:05Yeah, he played there last night.
18:07He played.
18:08He had 11 points.
18:09Baron had 22, but neither guy is here tonight.
18:13Brunson guarded by Lawson.
18:14Finds Ananobi.
18:15The fake.
18:16The drive goes inside.
18:18Extra pass to Bridges.
18:19Good swarming D by the Raptors.
18:23Everybody contesting shots now.
18:26Hurdle, good boxing out.
18:27He pounds off the glass.
18:29Ingram, no, he's got to get going.
18:31They need points on the board.
18:33One of the elite mid-range scores in the game.
18:37In terms of mid-range field goals made on the season,
18:41DeRozan's number one, Ingram's number four,
18:44and Jalen Brunson is number five.
18:47The other two, not a surprise.
18:49Durant second and SGA third.
18:53Ananobi goes at Barnes, shuts him off nicely.
18:55And Ananobi rattles it home.
18:59See, Barnes is all defensive player.
19:02That's all you could do.
19:03That was just a good shot by OG.
19:05Those two former teammates, two excellent two-way players.
19:10Three-pointer goes from Walton.
19:13That's his second three.
19:14On the right elbow is Kobe.
19:20Oh.
19:22Towns have been magnificent early on.
19:26This is an error pass.
19:27He's the culprit.
19:28First turnover.
19:29Knicks only had seven turnovers last night against Boston.
19:32An incredible number against one of the better defensive teams in the league.
19:36That's their season low in turn turnovers as Clarkson comes in.
19:39Only gave up eight points off those turnovers, Mike.
19:42Conversely, Celtics had 11 with 14, so that really helped the Knicks win that game.
19:48It's Andrew, Memo Kelesvili has come in for the first time.
19:51He's been good off the bench for them.
19:53Ingram is in his office right there, 15 feet away.
19:56Rising over Hart.
19:58Hart had to back off.
19:59He's got the two fouls.
20:00Mike Brown letting him stay out there and play.
20:03Russ Hart only 6'5".
20:04He was 6'8".
20:06Jonathan Mobo also out there for the first time.
20:11And Brunson draws the foul on Chet.
20:15Brunson will shoot a couple of free throws with 3.50 remaining.
20:19Here are the first Knicks with a four-point lead.
20:22Yeah, both teams have been misfiring.
20:26So, the captain at the line looking for two.
20:31Well, right now he is on quite the assist stretch since the All-Star break.
20:37Nicole Jokic has the most total assists.
20:41And Jalen Brunson is second.
20:43Wow.
20:44At 10 last night, did the captain 25 points.
20:48Continues to astound.
20:50Last 17 games averaging 9.5 assists per game.
20:53Playoff tickets.
20:55Yep.
20:55The 2026 NBA playoffs officially on sale.
20:59Tickets for them.
21:00Scan the QR code.
21:01Lock into your tickets today and get ready for the postseason.
21:03Yeah, Mike, you remember 1973.
21:06Marvin K., let's get it on.
21:08You come in in the locker room.
21:09That's what we had on the tape, baby.
21:11Let's get it on.
21:12Is that your, were you the DJ who picked the music in the locker room back then?
21:18No, I wanted to, Earl and those guys deemed a dream.
21:23That's a big responsibility to pick the music.
21:29Shed, Ingram, inside pass, my ball up and under.
21:33Hart tried to block it.
21:34And Ingram has seven assists the last night, so good step time.
21:42Raptors are in the middle of the pack offensively.
21:4415 in offensive rating.
21:46They're seventh in defensive rating.
21:48Towns spins.
21:51He wanted a foul ball.
21:53Fixing D by the Raptors now, especially on the interior, swarm into Towns.
21:59Knicks will have it underneath.
22:00So, Jeremy Sohan coming in.
22:02We saw him play the backup five in another game that Mitchell Robinson didn't play.
22:07Robinson obviously not playing tonight.
22:09Second game of the back-to-back.
22:10Towns will sit.
22:11So, Sohan got some good minutes and played very well in that game where he played the backup five.
22:19Sohan more of a defensive guy, a rebounder, see if he can, augments his offense.
22:25Mike Brown liked the energy and the pace the Knicks played with that lineup, with him at the five.
22:32Brunson, good D by the guy, stand on his feet, but Brunson swishes in.
22:36Real quick shot.
22:37Model colors really didn't go for the fake.
22:40And Brunson's still able to get it to go.
22:42His second field goal.
22:45Shed, nice pass.
22:47Movo inside.
22:49Block for the foul.
22:51So, Movo will shoot free throws.
22:53Knicks up six.
22:54We've got a timeout.
22:55We're just under three left here on the first.
22:59What's up, Doc?
23:00Or shall I say, what's up, New York?
23:03Jill Martin here, very happy to be back here courtside for one night only.
23:09I'm going to give me a minute.
23:10I'm back because we are here for an epic celebration going back in time.
23:15I want you to go back to 1996, just in time for Looney Tunes rabbit season, Space Jam's
23:2130th anniversary.
23:23To celebrate, I teamed up with the Bugs Bunny and Warner Brothers Discovery.
23:27Get this, matching parrot and pet cozy hoodies with a matching tote.
23:32That's Steve Shripp is dog, by the way, Willie modeling for us.
23:35Thank you.
23:35So, earlier today, we took over New York City, we went to the NBA store, Allen Houston came,
23:41took on Bugs Bunny in a little one-on-one.
23:43I'm not going to say who won, but they both got game.
23:47And we are selling these items.
23:49They're a limited edition.
23:50You can get them here tonight or at shop.msg.com.
23:56And I have to say, this is really cool to be back here tonight.
24:01You know, it's been a really hard three years.
24:03And to be back here courtside when my 50th birthday is this weekend, Mike and Clyde, I
24:09am hopping and bopping and getting in the way of everyone still here.
24:13Well, Jill, it's wonderful to see you.
24:15Now, Clyde, we don't say this because she is one of our all-time favorite people, but
24:20her energy and creativity never, ever stops.
24:23What about our kindness?
24:25It's unbwile.
24:26That's a whole other story.
24:27Yeah.
24:28And she's been dealing for so many, several years, as she mentioned, with cancer and her
24:33strength never wavers.
24:35Just a remarkable, extraordinary woman who we all love and is so glad to have her back here.
24:40Right.
24:41Welcome back, Minutes.
24:43And her marketing skills are elite.
24:45Oh, yeah.
24:46Oh, yeah.
24:50I think she got that from her dad, Mike.
24:53Because, you know, at her wedding, remember, her dad got on the mic.
24:57He was brilliant.
24:59Right.
25:00I can say, oh, that's where she got it from.
25:09So, did you get your, did you get your what's up, Doc?
25:13Yeah, yeah.
25:14She gave me a what's up, Doc.
25:17We got to wear that in one of the opens.
25:21I'm a college feeling knocks down the three-pointer.
25:24And Toronto back within one.
25:35Coming up on two minutes remaining, first quarter.
25:38Sohan was open.
25:39Brunson gets it to him.
25:40But there's a double team.
25:41Shot it off the bounce.
25:43He's wrapped as a swarming.
25:45Clarkson's going to have to put it up.
25:46He does.
25:47Can't get it to the fall.
25:48And the Raptors able to get it.
25:51Lawson runs it down.
25:52A rejuvenated Raptor team now playing with a lot of energy.
25:56Toma Kalashvili can't get it.
25:58Sohan couldn't hold on.
25:59Lawson gets it back.
26:03These young Raptors now.
26:06Shannon against Barnes.
26:08You don't realize as Barnes misses that.
26:11You don't realize how big Barnes is until you see him in person.
26:14Right.
26:15They listed as 6'8".
26:16He looks taller.
26:18Inside.
26:20Shot won't go.
26:21Clarkson misses last two.
26:23Toma Kalashvili going coast to coast and draws the foul.
26:27He's been a great bargain.
26:28They signed him to a two-year, five-and-a-half-million-dollar free agent deal.
26:32This is his first year of that.
26:34And he's been excellent for them off the bench.
26:36Yeah.
26:37Previously, the three-ball.
26:38This time, Hale Penn to get to the hoop.
26:40So, he's shooting two.
26:43It's Gary Cooney now.
26:45Yep.
26:45Gary Cooney.
26:46Sitting in there.
26:47What are you, celebrity watching now?
26:49Stars out again tonight, illuminating the garden.
26:54So, not a Kalashvili was born in New York City, but he grew up.
26:57There's Jerry.
27:00Jerry's a big Knick fan, folks.
27:01Oh, he's at the game.
27:02Now, he's talking about friendly, Mike.
27:04He's one of the very friendly guys.
27:06He doesn't think, he didn't think that personality would be of a boxer.
27:10Right, right.
27:11He is so kind.
27:12Very kind.
27:14And an OB sets.
27:16OG struggling tonight.
27:19Knicks one of seven from three.
27:24Oh, look at this guy.
27:27Mo Bo.
27:27Hey, he's shoving it off.
27:28He pushed off Shannon.
27:30Barnes up top to shed.
27:32Shock lock at seven.
27:34You can do that now with the offhand.
27:35Push guys out of the way.
27:37Shed double team.
27:39Manuskalosville, he fouled on the follow.
27:41Mambo running amok here, folks.
27:44Rinsing a three-ball.
27:46Driving to get to the line.
27:48So, now a little deja vu.
27:51So, these guys are a step quicker than the Knicks right now, especially Mambo.
27:56So, deja vu for him at the line.
27:59Those who mentioned, he grew up in the city, or he was born in New York City, but he grew
28:03up in Georgia, not the state, the country, Georgia.
28:06Lived in Italy in high school, and then Florida, actually played high school ball with R.J. Barrett, and then
28:11played four years of college at Seaton Hall.
28:13He was a really good player.
28:14He was the co-east, co-big-east player of the year.
28:20But he misses a couple of free throws in his two trips.
28:24Knicks have to get it going now.
28:26Kind of in the toll terms.
28:28Again, this game is big for the Raptors, because, as we mentioned, they can go anywhere from five till eight.
28:34I said nine, but they can wind up in the play-in, but one win, and then they guarantee themselves
28:40a first-round series.
28:41Still make ball four-point-four to shoot.
28:45O.T. arrest in the corner, right in front of the Raptor Pins.
28:48Rackovich was talking about it before the game, how much this means.
28:51They've missed the playoffs the last four years.
28:58Shammott, somebody's saying something to Shammott from the bench, turned around to laugh.
29:06Clarkson gets it.
29:08Clarkson missed his last two shots.
29:10Makes his move, just gets it off in time, and banks it in.
29:13He made something out of nothing.
29:16Nice creativity from Clarkson.
29:19Offensive foul.
29:20Shammott took the charge.
29:23Shammott's doing a good job reading the mind of Buffalo that time.
29:29Boy, Shammott's just standing there waiting, anticipating.
29:32Good job.
29:35When you only see a player a handful of times during the course of a season, and they're on a
29:40closing team,
29:41you don't sometimes get the clear picture.
29:43But when they come and play for the Knicks, and we see them night after night,
29:47you find out things about players that you didn't expect.
29:50I didn't realize until he came here that Landry Shammott was this good a defender.
29:55Yep.
29:58Very focused on the D, especially getting over the screen.
30:04Raptors do on the foul to give.
30:05Brunson, baseline, can't get it.
30:08Clarkson, offensive rebound.
30:09Back up top, Shammott.
30:10And Anobi fires away.
30:13Too strong.
30:14And that will end the first.
30:16Dix really struggled from three-point range, but they do have a one-point lead.
30:20After one here in the Garden.
30:2222-21 on Friday Night Knicks.
30:24Friday Night Knicks, I'm a fan.
30:26I gotta get there.
30:29Please understand.
30:31We're talking Friday Night Knicks on MSG.
30:40Betts and same-game parlays for tonight's game are available now on FanDuel after the first quarter.
30:45Knicks lead Toronto 22-21.
30:48Thank you, William.
30:50Knicks basketball presented by Chase.
30:52Knicks lead the Raptors 22-21.
30:54Knicks fans can take a look at tonight's lucky winner, Malik Terry.
30:58Now, two tickets to the Michelob Ultra courtside seats.
31:01Michelob Ultra Superior Light Beer.
31:06Very relaxing way to watch the game.
31:08Yeah.
31:10Jose Alvarado.
31:11You never said up there to watch a game.
31:13Nope.
31:14You want to do that one to broadcast from there?
31:16Yeah, this is, right?
31:21I don't know if I want to do that.
31:26We'll talk to Bill.
31:27Bill can set it up for us.
31:30He's got a lot of juice here.
31:34Pirtle amidst the moving screen.
31:37Jokovic doesn't like the call.
31:38He's looking behind his bench.
31:39Possible challenge.
31:40So Alvarado and Sohan.
31:43Alvarado's been out of the rotation.
31:45So he missed the last two games.
31:46Oh, no.
31:47He didn't play at all the last.
31:48Now, Mike Brown said the other night he prefers nine guys.
31:52And that's the usual starters.
31:54Plus Shamit, McBride, Clarkson, and Robinson.
31:56Obviously, McBride not playing tonight.
31:59And Robinson not playing tonight.
32:01So Alvarado and Sohan getting some early minutes.
32:04And once again, Clarkson, as the shot clock expiring,
32:08down in the paint, scores.
32:10Vinny Raddick missed two, make two.
32:15It's back up by six.
32:17Mark's pass deflected.
32:19Five turnovers already for Toronto.
32:22Knicks have just one.
32:25After you mentioned, Mike, the last game,
32:27only seven turnovers season low for the Knicks last night.
32:31Oh.
32:31Alvarado keeps that dribble alive.
32:33Raptors, though, on their case.
32:35You know, sneak is squealing.
32:37Alvarado knocks down the three.
32:41As Jermison Battle slipped.
32:45But sit in a light of the capacity crowd at the guard.
32:48And it's up by nine.
32:55Another foul away from the basket.
32:56Another offensive foul.
32:58Well, and Yaka Pertle, that's his second.
33:01Take a look at Jose.
33:04Right here, tantalizing with the three ball.
33:08Yeah.
33:11You look exceptional by design.
33:13See your local Buick dealer.
33:17Mike Brown was saying the other night in Atlanta.
33:20And again, Alvarado didn't play.
33:22He said nobody on the bench all game was more engaged than Jose Alvarado.
33:26Yeah, he's very effervescent, precarious.
33:29Whether he's playing or not.
33:31Right.
33:33Shannock tries another three.
33:35Huck Porty pulls it down.
33:38Back up top.
33:39Clarkson.
33:40Off the glass.
33:41Jordan Clarkson.
33:42His third field goal already.
33:44Six points in six minutes.
33:45The oldest Nick at 33 years of age.
33:48He's propelling them now.
33:49Mixed up scored the first ten points of the period.
33:52Scottie Barnes.
33:54Pulls up.
33:55Shot misses.
33:56Rebound Alvarado.
33:57Looks to push.
34:05Alvarado again.
34:06Keeps that dribble alive.
34:07Beautifully.
34:08You talk about that all the time, Clive.
34:10Yep.
34:10Gotta keep the dribble.
34:11Especially the point guard.
34:14That's how you get from point A to B.
34:17Clarkson.
34:17This time from three.
34:18That won't go.
34:19Huck Porty called for a loose ball foul.
34:22Yeah, but you like the way Huck Porty is working in there.
34:25Previously got to revive some important scores.
34:30Hawks lead the Cavs.
34:31If the Cavs lose tonight, then they will have the four spot.
34:35And the Knicks would have the three spot.
34:37Hawks, of course, trying to stay with the five spot.
34:40And as they're currently tied with the Raptors.
34:45Toronto owns the tiebreaker with the Hawks.
34:52Clarkson's trying to bump Barnes.
34:54Barnes is about 100 pounds heavier.
34:57Oh, yeah.
34:58I'm on Kellis.
34:58Really tries to lob inside.
35:00And an easy bucket.
35:01Well, you are Claiborne, Mike.
35:04100 pounds heavier.
35:05That's why they better go inside.
35:06The post and toast.
35:08They exploit the mismatch.
35:39Very catalytic for these guys, coming off the bench.
35:45Good screen set by Huckporty.
35:52Raptors tightening up their defense now.
35:56Foxen inside, poked away, good hands from Walter.
35:59Yep, you can see them, seeing the ball, seeing their man.
36:02Martin runs the floor, layup one goal.
36:05Looked like there was some contact.
36:06Huckporty did a good job contesting.
36:09And hustling back.
36:11Like Shaman, the guy had an open layup, wouldn't go down.
36:14This pace, relentless, folks.
36:16Very few free throws being attempted.
36:18Back and forth we go.
36:21Alvarado tries another three, comes up short.
36:24And look at Montelisvili's, good ball handler, ahead to Martin.
36:30Look at the transition D by the Knicks.
36:32Ingram, three-pointer, too strong, and Huckporty tracks it down.
36:35Good contesting by the Knicks that time.
36:37They had numbers.
36:42Mike Brown wants a timeout.
36:43He's going to bring in some subs.
36:45And we'll take a break.
36:47Low scoring.
36:48First half here with the guard.
37:17Welcome back to Friday Night Knicks.
37:19presented by Corona.
37:20You're listening to As Alive As You Need Me To Be by the Nine Inch Nails.
37:25Alan Hunt here courtside here in the second quarter.
37:28Jose Alvarado got some playing time here in the second quarter with Deuce McBride out.
37:32He has been out of the rotation.
37:34But he said, I'm ready for my moment, ready for when my name is called, whenever it is.
37:39He's a pro's pro.
37:41He's gotten the Knicks off to a good start here in the quarter.
37:43And, Mike, isn't that what Jordan Clarkson was doing as well?
37:46Waiting for his turn.
37:47And when it was called, he was ready.
37:48As you said, Alan, true professionals, because it's not easy.
37:52Especially when not only have you played, but you've contributed.
37:56Nice pass, Towns, to Alvarado right on cue.
37:59Because Clarkson's had great stretches.
38:01Because Alvarado's had a few great stretches as well in the brief time that he's been in New York with
38:06the Knicks.
38:06And now all of a sudden, playoff time, you're out of the rotation.
38:10It's not easy.
38:11But guys like Alvarado, and also you can say Sohan might get a time here or there.
38:18Tyler Kolak, Huck Forty.
38:19You never know.
38:21Foul trouble, guy turns an ankle, certain matchup.
38:24You might not play for three or four games in the playoffs
38:26and then have an opportunity to help your team win a playoff game.
38:29That's why sports is no different than life, folks.
38:32You've got to have a mindset.
38:34You've got to keep that focus.
38:36You get your opportunity.
38:37You capitalize.
38:39You're here.
38:42Jet gets inside.
38:44And yet another offensive foul.
38:48Robo.
38:50So that shows you the Knicks are active getting over the screens.
38:54These guys are a pretty illegal screen setting.
38:58They're trying to deny the pick and role play.
39:01Well, we've played 17 minutes.
39:03And the score is 34-25.
39:06Raptors struggling.
39:08They have seven turnovers.
39:09Three of them on offensive fouls.
39:12Towns gets the pass.
39:13He's doubled.
39:13Still gets it off.
39:14Still gets fouled.
39:15And still scores.
39:17Chance for a three-point play.
39:20So the Raptors' tallest players.
39:23Mahmoud is 6'9".
39:26So Ingram's 6'8".
39:28They were no match for Towns, though.
39:30He's had his way off the bounds.
39:31This time posting and toasting.
39:33Shooting one as well.
39:35Oh, you've picked up right where the Raptors' broadcasters.
39:39We're sitting right next to the Raptors' broadcasters.
39:41A great pair, Matt Devlin and Jack Armstrong, two of our favorites.
39:46And that's what they call them.
39:47I'm a scowlish.
39:48Really my move.
39:49Because they don't want, like I don't like saying the whole name.
39:51There they are.
39:53Yep, long-time team.
39:56Not as long as Mike and I have met.
39:58They've been a long time.
39:59Our Motorola Razor replay.
40:00They are so popular in Canada.
40:04Shed pulls up.
40:05Can't get it.
40:06Mahmoud keeps it alive.
40:09Yeah, he's been very aggressive.
40:11And now Ingram looking to post.
40:14He's in his office.
40:16Fallback baby.
40:17Can't get it to fall, though.
40:19Rebound Alvarado.
40:20Ingram just two for seven.
40:22Mixed up by a dozen.
40:24It's their largest lead.
40:26The interior has been open, especially for Towns.
40:30Towns double-team.
40:31Using his strength to keep it away from Shed.
40:33Gets it back.
40:36Nice feet again.
40:37Papa Anthony Towns already with four assists.
40:40And a little deja vu.
40:42They just ran that play previously.
40:45One of the oldest plays in basketball.
40:47Again, working to perfection.
40:48Soon.
40:50Bass deflected by Bridges.
40:52Ingram gets his back.
40:55And a foul.
40:56Shot won't go.
40:57Bridges his second.
41:03So, Winston Ingram's season high last night.
41:0638.7 assists.
41:08Seven rebounds at the line now for two.
41:11This is his second year with Toronto.
41:14And he got him last year from New Orleans back in February.
41:18Yep.
41:19All-star back in 2020.
41:21And that was with the Pelicans.
41:23All-star this year.
41:24And he talked about how Ryakovich, the head coach of the Raptors, has been great for him.
41:31He holds me accountable.
41:35On and off the floor.
41:36He tells me what I need to do.
41:40Whether I want to hear it or not.
41:42He's made me a better defender.
41:45He's made me care about that side of the basketball more.
41:48And on the offensive end, he just wants the best for me.
41:51And he's there to communicate.
41:53You know.
41:54He understands that, you know, I'm not a finished product.
41:57I'm still evolving.
41:58I'm still learning.
41:58And I still want to get better.
42:00So he coaches me in that way.
42:02Two things.
42:03How self-aware is Brandon England.
42:05And then what a great compliment to say about your coach.
42:09Yep.
42:11Brunson knocks that down.
42:12That's impressive.
42:16Ryakovich very well respected.
42:17He's not the most well-known.
42:19He could probably walk down the street in New York City.
42:21And there's very few people who have any ideas of NBA head coach.
42:23But he's a lifetime basketball coach.
42:27See the Raptors very stagnant now, depending on England.
42:29But he's gone cold.
42:33Walter can't get it.
42:35Towns the rebound.
42:36One and done for the Raptors.
42:41Under five to play.
42:43They have 25 points.
42:46Captain looking to erupt in 19 minutes.
42:49Alvarado.
42:51Alvarado's been very streaky from three-point range.
42:56Of course, that great game in Philadelphia.
43:00Shed gets one to go.
43:03They've had quite the scoring drought there.
43:07Now a 13-point lead.
43:11We mentioned IQ and RJ.
43:14That's not planned tonight.
43:16I can't believe you're sitting this one out.
43:19Towns gets in.
43:20Double-team.
43:21Gets his own rebound.
43:22Back up.
43:23And a foul.
43:25Just great, relentless effort from Karl-Anthony Towns.
43:30Take a look at Towns.
43:32Been elusive and abusive off the bounce.
43:34He's been slamming and jamming.
43:37Doing some good dishing.
43:40So Towns, five-bounds, four assists.
43:43At the line, looking for two more.
43:45Take a timeout.
43:464-13 left here, first half of the garden.
43:495-13 left here, first half.
44:09Knicks up by 13.
44:10Субтитры делал DimaTorzok
44:40The big team and this is one time he will not charge you for those
44:48As Downs with the free throws it's time for our trivia question brought to you by Cadillac
44:53All right, which Knicks duo holds the record for most consecutive 20-plus point seasons Carl Anthony Townsend Jalen Brunson
45:01doing it again
45:04The answer coming up
45:06There's a bunch of possibilities there
45:08Yep
45:10I'm one of them with the captain. It's got to be earlier though or later than that
45:17Might go back to Richie Gary and those guys say that again Richie Gary could go back
45:32Ingram I'm a college Philly gets inside good aggressive move
45:39Yeah, he's one of those guys Clyde has never really kind of carved out as Shamit can hit heart good
45:46rebound then lost it off his foot
45:48When you watch him play talking about home mama Kelly's feelings you wonder how he hasn't like teams haven't stuck
45:56them guys got
45:57He's got size. He's got talent. I got instincts quickies like
46:03Side of the backboard that time from Lawson
46:09Although some players it just takes a little longer
46:12He's still just 26. He looks older than that as Brunson floats it up and down
46:17He's just incredible the creativity off the bounce
46:2110 points for Brunson
46:24Knicks up 15 free to play English study to struggle all evening
46:31Shaman called for a foul
46:34First foul on Shaman take a look at the maestro
46:37He's over 50% once he gets into the painted area folks, and that's why such a lethal touch or
46:44we got a six foot nine eight six two
46:49Four of eight from the field continues to astound Brunson
46:58You know stretch is scored
47:01This is a defensive battle so far
47:06Barnes
47:07Now it happens bumped him
47:09the kids are
47:12Great defense of the second ever Barnes who's got a legitimate beef right there
47:17But times are smart because those are the place he doesn't get a foul ball when he's trying to drive
47:22for the basket Barnes tried it
47:23But watch the key watch how he moves his feet folks see not working with the body watch how he
47:28moves his feet
47:29That's the secret to defense
47:32Even those feet that second effort his we've said this about towns is hard fires away misses that towns is
47:39defense in the second half of the season
47:40It's the best I've seen him play defense. Yep
47:42And again, it's the mindset now he's focused on
47:46Pass inside the barns barge banks it in he tumbles to the floor again
47:51Well, this is how they've had to work diligently just to get a hoop there active heart bank shot won't
47:57go
47:58Lawson with a foul and Hart will shoot free throws nothing coming easy for the Raptors, so
48:02Hard able to go 50 feet off the bounce to get to the line
48:06J. Lawson saying I had my hands straight up
48:09Beech it hard at the top of the show and he's eruption last night
48:13Propelling the Knicks to the victory
48:17Well, it was after that loss in Houston
48:19And it was a bad loss to the Rockets Josh Hart
48:24His comments were very pointed said we're not trending upwards. We're not going in the right direction
48:31He's now with a four-game winning streak including the two good wins this week against Atlanta and Boston and
48:37after last night's game
48:38He said I like the way we're playing
48:41They have turned it around and it's not just the results. It's just playing better
48:45With more energy and harder defensively and the consummate team now no longer relying on Brunson a cat
48:53All the guys are stepping up as well
49:00Next 14 point lead just under two and a half to play here in the second Ingram
49:07Finds a spot. That's where he excels those elbow mid-range jumpers. Yep 15 feet away at that time
49:15six points for Ingram
49:21Ingram
49:21Brunson double
49:23Stolen by Mama Kalashvili
49:27Ingram goes into bridges all the way to the rim
49:30And it's back to a ten-point game from hell pit to get to do that time so
49:35Four consecutive points now about him
49:39That was the Knicks third turnover once again doing a good job in that area
49:44Brunson cuts foul by shed
49:48Let's see if they call that the act of shooting
49:51Towns has been
49:53Finding guys cutting through the paint side out mention this is passing is underrated town
50:01Splendid past the Brunson, but none shooting two fouls on shed
50:0614 foul
50:08Both teams no more fouls to kill
50:14Towns pass inside the Shammott right back out town's quick release on the three
50:21Knicks are really shot poorly from three-point range three of 17
50:26They made 15 last night my shooting 42 percent. They had a slow start last night before finishing
50:33Towns nearly tips it into the other basket
50:36Gets his eighth rebound of the first half
50:42Barns now guarding Brunson Brunson lets it fly three-pointers good
50:47Brunson's first three now with 13 points
50:58where it's inside
50:59I'm a KEL is really well defended again by towns
51:05Park Bridges
51:07The transition D batter wrapped it back doors open and shot blocked in a goal 10
51:12great give-and-go mikhail bridges with a beautiful pass and towns is out an
51:18exceptional first half on both ends of the floor house has been a benefactor
51:22but this time he's the beneficiary going back door
51:34we're in that cow suit tonight by Barnes falls down
51:4115-point lead shot clock winding down and he's gonna have to put it up well
51:46defended by Shannon's rebound heart nicks have plenty of time and Raptors no
51:52longer have a foul to give
51:59Brunson pulls up and out with the rebound and the Knicks with a fantastic defensive
52:06effort this is the fewest points in a first half the Knicks have given up
52:11there's your your cow attire there's the moon got the memo
52:20we got the halftime report Clyde's gonna go rest for a little bit now it's sponsored
