00:30Tonight, these two teams clash once more, with Charlotte in a fight for a playoff position.

00:43Good evening, everybody, and welcome to another exciting night of NBA basketball.
00:50I'm George Blaha, live in Charlotte, with my partner, Special K himself, Gregory Kelser.
00:56The Pistons are the champs, not in the ring, but they weren't bad in the ring the last time they
01:01were in here.
01:02They're the champs of the Eastern Conference in the regular season, and they're beginning their final road trip
01:07with a chance to win 60 games for the first time since 2006.
01:12And they'll do so with that starting five absolutely intact as they tune up for the playoffs.
01:18This group has grown together to complement one another on both ends of the floor, haven't they, Greg?
01:22It's really been fun watching them gel, mature, and constantly win basketball games.
01:28Kate Cunningham has put together an MVP campaign.
01:32Duncan Robinson has seamlessly fit into this team, and the importance of his three-point shooting
01:37very much on display there.
01:39Asar Thompson has made himself one of the best defensive players in the league.
01:45And, I mean, it might not even be close when you talk about guys 6'7 and under.
01:50Tobias Harris, the steady veteran that provides the calm when this team needs it.
01:55Great in the locker room, obviously.
01:57And Jalen Dern became an all-star this year, and we keep saying it, George.
02:01He earned that trip to the all-star game, and he's gotten better since then.
02:05Amen to that.
02:06As for the Hornets, they are part of a huge log jam in their conference.
02:12They're trying to avoid the play in and end up as a playoff team.
02:17They can finish as high as fifth if things go their way this weekend, and that's possible
02:22because they've been so hot of late.
02:24They've won nine of their last 12 with a lineup that can sting you from all over the floor.
02:29They've got four guys averaging 17 or more points per game.
02:32They rebound the ball well as a team, and they score it like crazy with these four guys.
02:38Look at the averages.
02:39They've been very consistent.
02:40And what do they all do well?
02:42Man, they can hurt you from the outside.
02:43There will be a lot of three-point attempts in this game expected.
02:48That's the way they play.
02:49Make or miss, they're going up.
02:50And the Pistons have got to be really keen on protecting that three-point line,
02:54making them have to work on the inside of it.
02:56Pistons have some all-star exterminators of their own to dispatch the Hornets.

03:38and he recorded yet another double-double.
03:41He and Jalen Dern are among the league leaders in that category.

03:54J.D. sits fourth with 41, tied with Victor Wemanyama.
03:58Cade is sixth with 38, and they both look to add to those totals

04:09Let's hear from the guys about the importance of these final two regular season games,
04:13and how playing with confidence has them on the verge of reaching 60 wins.

04:22I think we sit in a good position, knowing where we're at, knowing every game we play,
04:29we can figure something out to help us be better.
04:35And then just working on our flow and our rhythm as we get to the playoffs.
04:39Obviously, we don't know who we're playing yet, but at the same time,
04:43just focus on ourselves and our system and our principles.
04:45So, right now, opportunity for us is just to continue to get better,
04:50continue to get guys in their flow and in their rhythms.
04:55You know, we're not looking at these last two as just go out and play basketball.
04:59You know, we want these wins, you know.
05:01We would love to get 60 wins, you know, heading into the playoffs.
05:06Very obvious, you know, if you're watching closely,
05:09if you're not just watching the game, you know.
05:11You know, guys just like the media that's big around practice and just, you know,
05:15see how, you know, close we are and how much we care for each other.
05:18You know, how much, you know, we bond and, you know,
05:21just take this game of basketball as, you know, a brotherhood and have fun with it.
05:25You know, we're supposed to have fun.
05:27So, we just try to pride ourselves on having fun and having each other back.
05:30And also, on top of that, just taking care of business.
05:33And I feel like we've been doing that all year.
