Cebu opens first DBP branch

Cebu opens its first-ever branch-lite unit of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), in Naga City, southern Cebu on April 10, 2026. DBP Chairman Philip G. Lo said the move reflected the bank’s commitment to expand inclusive and customer-centered financial services, and support local economic growth in fast-developing areas like Naga City. Savings accounts may be opened for as low as P500, while youth accounts can start at P100. The launch was attended by Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro, Naga City Mayor Valdemar Chiong, and local government representatives.
