00:30Just three games left in the regular season for a Heat team hoping to win out as they head toward
00:36the 2026 play-in.
00:38And we always hope you enjoy every bounce and basket right along with us on a pleasant Thursday evening in
00:43Toronto.
00:44Game has meaning for both clubs.
00:46The number six Raptors just a half game behind number five Atlanta and on the tiebreaker.
00:50Remember the top six teams proceed directly to the playoffs.
00:53Best place Miami can finish is eighth.
00:56They're two games behind the Sixers, a game and a half behind number nine Charlotte, and the Heat own the
01:00tiebreaker against both of those clubs.
01:03Coach Spolstra on the mindset and the mission.
01:07More than anything, just our competitive will.
01:12You know, we're playing against a team that also is desperate, you know, and they've had our number, you know,
01:19three straight games.
01:21You know, and, you know, the way they play, you know, we have to find a way to conquer it,
01:28which I feel we have in us.
01:31And hello to Heat Nation.
01:32Welcome inside Scotiabank Arena here in Toronto.
01:35Great to have you with us as always.
01:37Just as great to be alongside the point guard, John Crotty, and I'm Eric Reid.
01:40The Heat did suffer a humbling 26-point loss to the Raptors here on Tuesday night.
01:45Third worst margin of defeat this season for the Heat in a game, John, that, frankly, the Raptors dominated.
01:51Yeah, our Taco Bell take talks about what Toronto did so well.
01:54It started with their ability to attack the paint.
01:56They were aggressive on the offensive end with their drives and their post-ups and their cuts.
02:0170 points in the paint for the Raptors.
02:04They also out-rebounded Miami, 56-44, seven players with five or more rebounds, led by Barnes and Barrett.
02:11They attacked at second chance points opportunities as well with 15 offensive boards.
02:16R.J. Barrett with four, Pirtle with three, 23-6 advantage.
02:20They're really favoring the Toronto Raptors.
02:23Toyota trend on the season series.
02:25Three love Toronto.
02:26They've held the Heat under 100 points in all three games.
02:29They've also held the Heat 26 points per game below their season average, outscoring Miami by 19 a game.
02:34They've also outscored the Heat by over 15 points per game in the paint, which is normally a strength area
02:39for the Heat.
02:40Bam Adebayo, the captain, hoping to provide his team inspiration.
02:44Yeah, need a bounce back from the captain.
02:46He was two of 13 with just seven points in the last game, one of seven beyond the arc.
02:52They double-teamed him a lot when he was touching the ball in the post area.
02:56They've got to find a way to get him activated.
02:59His seven points ended a 34-game streak of scoring 10 or more points just to let you know what
03:05a great job they did in terms of keeping him off balance on the offensive end.
03:09Raptors have improved their game 14 wins better than a year ago, led by the duo of Scotty Barnes and
03:16Brandon Ingram.
03:17They combined for 48 points on 19 for 32 shooting with 14 rebounds in Tuesday's victory against the Heat.
03:23It's a duo that is leading Toronto to their first playoff appearance in the last four seasons.
03:29Last call for a Heat win this season against the Raptors.
03:32Look at your starting lineups and your tip-off in Toronto.
03:35Coming up next.
03:41Buy rooms to go.
03:42Don't miss the store-wide mattress sale going on now.
03:46And buy Estrella.
03:47Why pay more?
03:48Get up to 50% off with Estrella Insurance.
04:00Here's your starting lineups for tonight's game.
04:04Your Cadillac starting lineups.
04:06Stavion Mitchell, Tyler Hero, Andrew Wiggins, Bella Larson, and Bam Adebayo will start for the Heat.
04:12Quickly, Barrett, Barnes, Ingram, and Pirtle will start for the Raptors.
04:16The Toronto with 44 wins, Miami with 41.
04:19Bank Arena, a place where the Miami Heat are absolutely going to have to be better on both sides of
04:24the ball than they were on Tuesday night.
04:25Let's talk about defense and miscommunication.
04:28Scotty Barnes puts the ball on the floor and Bam chooses to double.
04:31Not a terrible decision with Scotty's size of that position, but look at the top here.
04:35Jaime looking at B.I., you understand that, but no one picks up CMB right down the middle.
04:39That's an uncontested layup.
04:40Way too easy for a defensive team and guarding their paint.
04:44Offensively, other side of the court, five seconds left on the shot clock, so you're already dealing with some issues,
04:50finding looks earlier.
04:51But Bam catches the ball above the three-point line, and four guys are standing there watching.
04:56Understand you want to give him room to operate, but there's no exchanging.
04:59There's no movement.
05:00You're not engaging the defense at all.
05:02And so the Toronto Raptors, who like to pack the paint, are able to pack the paint.
05:06Numbers certainly don't lie.
05:08The first five, quite simply, are just going to have to be better than they were on Tuesday night.
05:12You need more scoring, but you need more production, right?
05:15Defensively, they've got to be better, too.
05:17And so when you look at the compete level, that's the most important thing.
05:21First couple minutes of this game have to come tougher.
05:25They have to come stronger.
05:27This team is capable of that.
05:29But offensively, and this is all defensive talk, but offensively, too, the Toronto Raptors have really taken the Miami Heat
05:35out of their game.
05:36When you look at the profile, 91 attempts is not terrible, but look at where they're coming from.
05:42Almost 50% of the Miami Heat's shots on Tuesday night, they came from the three-point line.
05:48And for the Miami Heat, it has to start physicality, pounding it in the paint.
05:52More on that.
05:52Let's go to Spoh.
05:55They do a great job of, you know, swarming our drives.
05:59Everybody knows that, you know, we try to play with pace, you know, and they do a terrific job of
06:04getting back.
06:05And it's not just against us.
06:06That's been for the season.
06:09We've had our season low in transition points, you know, against them, three straight games.
06:14And then when we get into the half court, our ability to get into the paint, you know, they shut
06:19down those driving lanes and then they swarm.
06:22You know, there's a reason why we shot 44 threes the other night.
06:25You know, we do have to make some of those to keep them honest, but we also have to have
06:28to do a better job, you know, with the details of our offense.
06:32Well, as I said, I think we've all been talking about it a lot long enough.
06:35It's time to get out there and play.
06:36So let's get the thing started and go upstairs to Eric Reid and Don Pratt.
06:41Thank you, Amy.
06:42Amy, a Toronto native, a nice homecoming for her, a great addition to the Heat broadcast team.
06:47John Eric Spolscher, before the game, talked about the embarrassing nature of Tuesday night's 26-point loss.
06:53He basically said it's not about schemes or X's and O's.
06:57It's about the Heat's competitive will, and they need to bring it tonight, John.
07:02The motivation is obvious.
07:04You can see that game face right there.
07:07He is ready to compete himself, Coach Spoh, and this team right now needs to bring force.
07:13They need to bring great energy.
07:15They've got to get it done on the defensive end in order to get stopped and really play with the
07:19pace they want to.
07:20They need the better quality shots offensively.
07:22This Raptor team made things so hard for them in the last game.
07:27Just three games left in the regular season for Miami.
07:30Darko Ryakovich, the head coach of the Raptors, looking to take them to the NBA playoffs for the first time
07:36in four years.
07:38They only won 30 games a year ago.
07:40They're at 44 wins right now.
07:43Our officiated crew, Josh Tiffin, Aaron Smith, and Evan Scott.
07:47Heat Nation, you know the drill.
07:48Off we go on another Miami Heat NBA adventure.
07:53This will be a very interesting game.
07:55Revealing for the Heat as Tyler Hero gets in for the bucket.
07:59Johnny only got eight shots on Tuesday night.
08:01That was his fewest field goal attempts this season.
08:04It's a great sign to see him get a layup in the first possession because of what a struggle it
08:09was for him to get comfortable.
08:10Everything was contested.
08:12He wasn't able to really get to his game offensively.
08:15Davion Mitchell guarding the center.
08:17Purtle.
08:17Barrett missing in deep.
08:19And the Heat stand tough on their first defensive position.
08:23Davion Mitchell going at the center.
08:28Hero against Quickly.
08:31Raptors were able to keep the heat out of the paint Tuesday night.
08:34All three previous matchups.
08:36Davion Mitchell.
08:37Johnny's the one guy that has been able to get in there against Derron.
08:40Great speed.
08:41Had the big man Purtle on the switch.
08:43So he attacked the center.
08:45He was a little slower afoot.
08:46Unable to get to the left-hand conversion.
08:48He'd score the first four points of tonight's game.
08:51Wiggins defending Brandon Ingram.
08:57Shot clock down the three.
09:00And O'Ingram with a nice drive.
09:03But Bam pulls down the rebound.
09:06Well, the Raptors missing their first two.
09:08The Heat have hit on their first two shots.
09:11Bam for three.
09:12Kaboom.
09:13What a start for Miami.
09:15They make their first three shots.
09:17They run off the first seven points of tonight's game.
09:21Couldn't be a better start.
09:22Just the way Coach Spohr would hope.
09:24Driving.
09:25Attacking.
09:26Getting it going in terms of forcing the defense to react and creating space.
09:32We are one minute and 35 seconds into this one.
09:35But get excited because you're already seeing a lot more of a defensive effort.
09:39Look at the wall the Miami Heat are building in the paint.
09:42Right?
09:43It's a kick out.
09:43It's a solid close out.
09:45Watch Bam.
09:46On the catch.
09:46Prezid does a great job forcing a pass.
09:49Undersized Davion Mitchell holds his ground in the paint.
09:52We just didn't see this two nights ago.
09:54And then the rebound.
09:56That's how you finish.
09:56So listen, you need about 46 more seconds of that.
09:59Or minutes of that.
10:00But we know this team's capable.
10:01Right, Eric?
10:02We do, Amy.
10:03You know, the Raptors scored the Heat and the Paint on Tuesday.
10:0670 to 34.
10:0870 is too much to give up.
10:11The duck in by Quigley and it bounces off.
10:15Rebound saved in by Quigley, but he was out of bounds.
10:19Emmanuel Quigley, the point guard out of the University of Kentucky.
10:22Second game back after sitting out eight straight with plantar fasciitis in his foot.
10:28They're going to call that foul on Davion Mitchell on a push right there.
10:31Scrapping with Emmanuel Quigley.
10:33The Raptors have had a couple decent looks and have missed some layups here to start.
10:39Toronto 0 for 3.
10:41The Heat starting 3 for 3 with two of Miami scores coming in the paint.
10:46You love this matchup.
10:47Wiggins defending the talented Brandon Ingram.
10:50Who missed the shot.
10:51Pirtle on the offensive board.
10:53Jakob Pirtle, the 7-footer out of the University of Utah,
10:57averaging 11 points a game on 70% shooting this season.
11:01Tyler flips it up and in.
11:05Two acrobatic drives completed by Tyler Hero tonight.
11:09That should really open up some of his perimeter opportunities with those hard attacks.
11:15Pella defending Scottie Barnes.
11:17That was rock-solid defense by a rock-solid NBA sophomore named Pella Larson.
11:23He's making his 54th start of the season.
11:26Almost improved players in the league.
11:28Certainly a feel-good story this year for the Heat.
11:31He's getting into a 2-3 zone here on the inbounds under the basket.
11:35Open look quickly.
11:37Missed.
11:37Rebound.
11:38Put up and in by R.J. Barrett.
11:41A semi-year bet from Duke.
11:43Averages 19 points per game.
11:45This was a problem in the last game.
11:47Offensive rebounds leading to second chance points.
11:50Couple of putbacks already here for the Raptors.
11:52He had 15 offensive boards in the last game on Tuesday night.
11:57And Barrett had four of them, by the way.
11:58R.J. Barrett.
11:59Four offensive rebounds in Tuesday's game.
12:02Personal foul on Toronto.
12:03Scottie Barnes is first and their first.
12:06Much more aggressive.
12:07Tyler Hero from the get-go to get himself activated.
12:11Love the ability of him to draw fouls out there on the perimeter.
12:15They got Scottie Barnes, their best defender, trying to guard Tyler.
12:17They're revealing games late in the season.
12:21They tell you the truth, like it or not.
12:24Five on the shot clock.
12:25Three minutes into the game.
12:27Hero to the paint.
12:28Rejected by Jakob Pertl.
12:31They're the tough defensive team in the paint.
12:34Seven-tenths of a second remaining on the shot clock.
12:37Watch a lob to Bam here, setting his screen and rolling to the rim.
12:42And the Hero, he got it off.
12:43Knocked it down.
12:45Tyler Hero.
12:47He's three for his first four, has seven points.
12:50That was Miami's second triple here in the game's first three-and-a-half minutes.
12:53Credit to Heat on outstanding execution with that short shot clock.
12:58Well, Barnes pulling his way in and drew the foul on Pella Larson.
13:01Well, that's typically a possession with seven-tenths left.
13:05You're going to have a tough time getting the shot off as the opposing team knows it.
13:09Heat run a great side screen with Bam hitting Scottie Barnes,
13:13and that allowed enough room for Tyler to catch it in the corner and unload that triple.
13:1881 triples this year for Tyler Hero.
13:20Remember, he took only eight shots in the whole game.
13:24He played 30 minutes on Tuesday night.
13:26Tyler's already taken four of Miami's first seven shots to know.
13:32Scottie Barnes, 24 years old, a Florida State guy who grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida,
13:38originally at Cardinal Newman High School.
13:42He's averaging 18 points, seven-and-a-half rebounds, six assists per game, well-rounded,
13:47strong defensive.
13:51This could be a Toronto foul on the drive-by hero, and, again, it's on Scottie Barnes.
13:57So, Barnes has picked up two early fouls in this game,
14:00and Darko Ryakovich looking at the Toronto bullpen.
14:04He's going to call the number of Jacoby Walter.
14:06Yeah, he's really unhappy, but Scottie Barnes made contact with what looked like
14:10at the throat or the side of the head of Bam here on this closeout.
14:15Woo!
14:16Yeah.
14:19Scottie Barnes has to sit down.
14:22He had 25 points, and he rebounds in Tuesday night's Toronto win over the Heat.
14:27Oh, the pass deflected out by Quickly.
14:30Heat of 11 seconds on the shot clock.
14:32Got to shorten those passing angles.
14:34That was hanging out there for a steal.
14:36Oh, Pella's got to take another dribble towards the passing, the pass receiver there.
14:41Jacoby Walter, a rangy defender, is in the game for them as Marson drives.
14:46Missed it.
14:46Rebound off the body of Pirtle.
14:48Will stay with Miami.
14:50Wiggins hit the deck.
14:51John, a physical game.
14:53Miami meeting Toronto's force with physicality of their own early in this contest.
15:01Let's see who.
15:02I thought it was heat possession here.
15:03It should be heat ball.
15:05Yeah, so Coach Spoh making an effort to try to be definitive on these out-of-bounds calls.
15:13Really made a nice call on that last one to get Tyler Hero the shot.
15:19Here's one to get him another touch.
15:21By the way, they're going to take away the previous Tyler Hero three, but give him that one.
15:26They say Hero did not beat the shot clock a couple of possessions ago.
15:30Well, that one counted.
15:32That was a staggered screen for a triple right there.
15:36Another intentional call by Coach Spoh.
15:38Great execution by the ball club.
15:41Here's Spolstra trying to make sure he gets the ball in the hands of Hero and Bam Adebayo early and
15:46often.
15:47Here's Barrett driving, shooting, and missing.
15:51Rebounded Tyler Hero.
15:53The Raptors have missed six of their first eight shots.
15:56Here you go.
15:57Here you go.
15:57Wiggins losing it to Ingram.
15:59What a steal by Brandon Ingram, the 10-year veteran, another former Duke Blue Duff.
16:04Come on, Wiggins.
16:07Come on, Wiggins.
16:07Come on, Wiggins.
16:09Come on, Wiggins.
16:10Come on, Wiggins.
16:11Andrew Wiggins picks up his first foul.
16:13Team foul number three on the Heat.
16:15Come on, Wiggins.
16:16Jamal Shedd going to come in.
16:17Shedd and Walter both second-year guards out of the Southwest Conference.
16:21Walter out of Baylor.
16:22Shedd out of the University of Houston.
16:25Shedd was a first-team All-American while playing for the Houston Cougars.
16:29Went to the Final Four as a freshman back in 2021.
16:33And Walter, he was a five-star recruit out of McKinney, Texas, in high school,
16:39and was the Big 12 freshman of the year at Baylor.
16:43The missed shot taken down by Bam, and was missed by Walter.
16:48Mitchell hurrying tempo.
16:50Hero gets by Shedd.
16:53Inside for the Bam Slam.
16:56It's just a much better beginning to this game for Miami.
16:59They're ahead by A.
17:00Just getting their top guys activated and engaged.
17:03Coach Spoh really wanted to see his team do this,
17:06and they've really come out with better competitive will and the execution on point.
17:11Jump up for R.J. Barrett, his second score.
17:15Barrett, a native of Toronto, is a homecoming.
17:18When the Knicks traded him to the Raptors for O.G. Onanobi.
17:21Nice drive by the hard-driving point guard, Davion Mitchell.
17:25He's got a couple of scores.
17:26The Heat already with ten points in the paint and seven for ten first quarters.
17:31Love how Davion used the rim there to protect any shot blockers coming across.
17:37Defended that river.
17:39That's a little protective.
17:40Jamal Shedd got a clean look at it.
17:42Makes his 80-second triple this year.
17:44And the first three of the game for the Raptors.
17:47They're down by five.
17:49Hero pumping.
17:53Wiggins uploaded.
17:56And the rebound chased down by Barrett.
18:02Raptors, the number six team in the East.
18:04A half game behind Atlanta and a half game ahead of Orlando.
18:08So, they're in a very competitive mode.
18:11Barrett on the jump hook.
18:12That's two hooks in a row for R.J. Barrett.
18:15So, he has six points, and he's done it on three for five early shooting.
18:20Physical take.
18:20He and Tyler here are going at him.
18:22Mono-i-Bono there.
18:24Really physical officials letting him play.
18:28We're going to go back and see Tyler make it happen off the dribble.
18:32Drawing multiple defenders and dropping this one off to the captain inside.
18:38And Davion Mitchell finding a seam and using that rim to protect the shot
18:42so Ingram couldn't make a play on the ball.
18:45Heat right now shooting a whopping 64% on 7 of 11 from the field.
18:52Tremendous job getting their offense activated.
18:55Miami finding a way to get into the paint tonight.
18:58Larson misses the three.
19:00Shed deflects the rebound over to Ingram.
19:04Sandro Mamoukelesvili is in the game for the first time tonight.
19:06He replaces Pirtle.
19:07Ingram got fouled on the jump hook by Wiggins.
19:10And now Andrew Wiggins, like Scottie Barnes, has picked up his second foul.
19:16Chris Quinn reminding Eric Spolster of that.
19:18And out of the heat bullpen comes sixth man of the year candidate Jaime Jaquez Jr.
19:25And while Ingram gets set for a couple of free throws, let's pause for a message from Gulfstream Park.
19:42Jim, with the way the Raptors defend with physicality and quickness,
19:46they were able to shut off the paint on Miami, force the heat into taking the 44 threes on Tuesday
19:52night.
19:52But the heat getting into the painted area early in this game.
19:55They are.
19:56They're really, right now, the ones dictating what they want to do out there
20:01as opposed to Toronto imposing their will
20:03and making it a game where Miami was always a step behind
20:07that carried out throughout the course of the game.
20:09I'm a huge believer in starts.
20:11And I love what Miami has done in the first six minutes of this game,
20:15getting themselves going on both ends.
20:17Tyler for three, and it comes down to Brandon Ingram.
20:23Colin Murray boils into the game for Toronto.
20:26Kalil Ware into the game for Mayan.
20:29520 left first quarter.
20:30Ingram maneuvering in.
20:32He got away with a travel if they don't call that.
20:34They're going to call a defensive foul instead.
20:36He was completely off balance on that call.
20:40Now they're calling a trip first.
20:42Maybe this happened with Tyler here.
20:44Watch Tyler on this crossover.
20:46Let's see.
20:47Yeah, he tripped on Hero's foot.
20:49That was a good catch by referee Josh Tivin there.
20:53The right foot of Ingram stepped on Tyler's left foot,
20:57so the foul wasn't on Pella,
20:58who really maintained nice position throughout the course of that attack.
21:01By the way, Josh Tivin, one of the NBA's premier officials,
21:0416th year in the league.
21:06He has officiated in 99 playoff games
21:09and been a part of 10 NBA Finals games.
21:14But Brandon Ingram, two-time All-Star,
21:17most improved player in the league back in 2020.
21:20Three years of Lakers, six years of Pelican, first year with the Raptors.
21:24Meanwhile, it's eight straight Toronto points,
21:27and that evens the game at 16.
21:31Inside, it's Mitchell again.
21:33That man will punch in your midsection, off the dribble.
21:37He's got six points on three of three shooting.
21:42Two-point Heatley, under five minutes left in the first.
21:46Ingram, back to the basket on Mitchell.
21:51Missed a tough shot, rebounded Larson.
21:54Akez, on the move.
21:56Got it.
21:57Down the Jaime highway here in Toronto for his first score.
22:01He playing with much better pace there, kicking it ahead,
22:04letting Jaime go to work one-on-one.
22:06He gets to that runner.
22:0814 of the Heat's first 20 points at Covey in the paint.
22:11Ingram, got fouled in the score.
22:14That's his first field goal.
22:16He's headed to the strike.
22:19Very talented in that mid-range game.
22:22This is his strength, and he shoots over a shorter.
22:26Davion Mitchell takes his time, uses length at 6'8",
22:29to shoot over the top number four,
22:32and made mid-range jump shots this year.
22:35How about Jaime getting ahead of the field there
22:37and able to go one-on-one?
22:39Didn't see much of this on Tuesday evening
22:41as the Raptors really elite in terms of getting back in defensive transition,
22:46preventing those kind of pitch-aheads or run-outs.
22:49Miami was able to get that one there.
22:51That's important to get Jaime going
22:54because that's a big part of his game.
22:55Meanwhile, Tyler Hero leaves the game with his second personal foul.
22:59Norman Powell is dealing with a straight groin, checks in.
23:03And that's a turnover on the inbounds.
23:05Hawkes couldn't handle it.
23:07And the Heat with a one-point lead stay at the defensive end.
23:11And the Heat already with three turnovers, zero for the Raptors.
23:15They do a tremendous job of forcing turnovers
23:18and converting them into points.
23:21Jacoby Walter, now Ingram bumping with Mitchell.
23:25And bearing the jump shot.
23:28The Brandon Ingram, he's a go-to guy offensively for them.
23:31This is the first Toronto lead of the game.
23:34Eight points now for Ingram.
23:38Larson against Walter.
23:40He got there.
23:41And the rebound brought down by Ingram.
23:44Raptors right now in a 13-4 run.
23:48Ingram against Larson.
23:50Oh, Corral came over for the half,
23:52but it's Murray Boyles on the finishing end.
23:55An impressive rookie out of the University of South Carolina.
24:00So the Raptors right now are raging.
24:03A 15-4 run and a three-point lead for them.
24:08A member of this year's rookie class
24:11that has caught our attention
24:12is Toronto's number 12.
24:14That is Colin Murray Boyles.
24:17He's 20 years old.
24:19He was the ninth pick in last June's draft,
24:21originally from Columbia, South Carolina.
24:23Played at the University of South Carolina
24:24for two seasons.
24:26John, the Raptors knew they were getting
24:27a rugged 6'7", 245-pound defender.
24:31His game continues to emerge.
24:33He's our Kia player profile.
24:36John, he's one of the under-the-radar rookies,
24:38but he had an 11-point-12 rebound game
24:40in Miami in December.
24:42And on Tuesday night, he had 6 points,
24:458 rebounds, and blocked 2 shots in his 20 minutes.
24:47He provides great hustle for them,
24:49and he's really a strong offensive rebounder.
24:52Just like that, he'd have to make sure
24:53they block out Murray Boyles.
24:55Norman Powell trying to get it going.
24:57He's a former Raptor.
24:58That's Larson.
24:59Missing the three.
25:01Rebound to Murray Boyles.
25:03You will notice him.
25:04He's playing with a sore shoulder.
25:06It happened on the last second.
25:08Piglet against Larson.
25:10We're over to hell.
25:12Inside, that's Walter.
25:13He finds Jamal Shedd.
25:16Mahmoud Kelo's heeling.
25:18And Kowal, good vision as he tracked that rebound
25:22took one step back to security.
25:26Ware on this end.
25:28This ain't the one-hander.
25:30Try to retrieve it, but here's Murray Boyles at Toronto.
25:37Toronto with a three-point lead
25:39after the Heat scored the first seven points of the game.
25:44Shedd.
25:46Good D by Kowal and the rebound, the five.
25:49Yeah, poor decision attacking the seven-footer there
25:51at the rim.
25:52Should have taken an outside jump shot.
25:54Kowal was playing off of there.
25:56Gabion with Walter on his hip.
25:59Probing.
26:00Underside of the backboard.
26:01Turns into a ware slam.
26:03Have a slender rimbender
26:05with his 135th dunk this season.
26:08Eighth most in the NBA.
26:11He trailed by one.
26:13Two-twenty left.
26:14Well played.
26:15Evenly played first quarter.
26:16Oh, Ingram.
26:18Oh, he tried to posterize Miami.
26:21And while everybody stood around and watched,
26:23Ingram Pogo-sticked in the offensive ball.
26:25Wow, look at that length
26:26to tip that one in.
26:28He rose up.
26:30This was outstanding work by Ingram.
26:33Gets right down the gut on a hesitation
26:36and if Ware isn't there,
26:38he's slamming that poster style.
26:41But Ware certainly was a factor.
26:43He went at him.
26:44Woo!
26:45Back rims it because of Kowal Ware.
26:47But right here, the speed and quickness
26:50to get up and make a play on it.
26:52And Kowal Ware is so good
26:55with a catch radius around the basket
26:58to make a quick finish for Miami.
27:01Brandon Ingram this year is 10th in the league,
27:03but most games and most minutes
27:05in any season in his NBA career
27:07having 21 points a game for the Raptors.
27:10He's become their leading man
27:11with two minutes left in the quarter.
27:14Powell loses the handle.
27:16Murray Boyles had it picked off by Hakez,
27:18but they're going to call Bam on a reach-in foul.
27:21Peter over the limit.
27:22It's Bam's first,
27:23but Miami has put Toronto into the bonus
27:26with 1.53 left here in the first quarter.
27:30I think Bam hit him in the back of the head there,
27:33knocking it away from him.
27:36And that'll be two shots here.
27:39And the bonus is Toronto
27:41with 1.53 to go here.
27:43Miami uncharacteristically picking up
27:46a lot of fouls here early.
27:47One of the best teams
27:48in terms of defending without fouling.
27:51Miami with seven personal fouls here
27:53in the first quarter,
27:54just three for the Raptors.
27:55John, Bam Adebayo is the subject
27:57of some Eric Smolster questions
27:59in the pregame press conference.
28:01And Spoh was reflective,
28:02having had the opportunity to coach Bam
28:04through all nine of his NBA seasons.
28:07Spoh said,
28:07I've known him since he was a 19-year-old rookie.
28:09We have watched him grow into a great player
28:12and an even better person.
28:13He talked about his work ethic,
28:14ambition, and humility,
28:17and how fierce he competes,
28:18which has earned him league-wide respect.
28:25So at 19-6, Toronto run,
28:28open up a five-point lead.
28:31Kaz Yakachonas in for the first time
28:32tonight for the Heat.
28:34Norman getting rhythm,
28:37airballed, rebound.
28:38Bam, he lost it.
28:39So right now, Bam and Kalil
28:40in the game together.
28:43Ingram.
28:45Cross court on the line for Barrett.
28:50Nine points for R.J. Barrett.
28:53It is a 22-6 run.
28:57Oh, Kalil Ware with a slam dunk.
28:59That's his second dunk
29:01here in the first quarter.
29:02What a setup from Bam.
29:04Touch pass
29:04where he caught it high,
29:06kept it high,
29:07and led Kalil Ware
29:08to that high percentage score.
29:11That is big,
29:11helping Biggers.
29:13A six-point lead for Toronto.
29:15A minute left.
29:17Here are the first quarter.
29:19Ingram,
29:20spinning on high day.
29:22Tough shot.
29:23That's good D.
29:25And look at Murray Boyles
29:26compete for that rebound.
29:28Bam,
29:29parts underneath it.
29:30And when you've got Bam
29:32and Ware in the lineup together,
29:33that's two top ten rebounders
29:35in the league.
29:36Here you go.
29:38Powell,
29:39on the move.
29:41Finishes.
29:43We had to wait
29:44and watch
29:44as that ball trickled in.
29:46First score
29:46for the 11th year veteran,
29:48originally from San Diego,
29:50played collegially at UCLA
29:51and began his NBA career
29:53as a Toronto Raptor.
29:54And a handoff action
29:56there from Kalil Ware up front.
29:57They don't run a lot of that,
29:58but that freed up more.
30:00Emmanuel
30:01with a quick release.
30:03Well said.
30:0532-26 Toronto.
30:07Like how you did that.
30:08Thank you.
30:1013 seconds left.
30:12Opening period.
30:14Yaku Chona
30:15setting a screen
30:16for Jaime Jaquez Jr.
30:17And he gets fouled by quickly.
30:20And this is what we expected
30:22at a Tuesday night,
30:23an all-night battle,
30:24but we didn't get it Tuesday.
30:26We have gotten it
30:27so far tonight.
30:28Quickly out.
30:29Jamal Shedd back in.
30:31Mamou Kelo-Svili comes out.
30:34Pirtle back in for Toronto.
30:39Raptors this year, 44 wins.
30:43There's 31 and 18
30:45against the Eastern Conference.
30:47And they've really dominated
30:48the Southeast Division,
30:49which the Heat remember is.
30:51Oh, blocked shot
30:52by that rookie,
30:54Colin Murray Boyce.
30:55Jaime really did not know
30:57the shot clock
30:59was running down
31:00and the game clock as well.
31:02And he gets a poor shot
31:04as a result.
31:19Heat Nation,
31:20for being such great fans,
31:22have that 20% off
31:23Heat jerseys.
31:28Beginning right now.
31:29Take in.
31:30You got it.
31:34Reid and Crotty
31:35and some Heat fans.
31:36We met those two gentlemen
31:37from Ottawa.
31:38Heat fans,
31:39and when I asked them why,
31:41they gave the most popular
31:42answer on the board.
31:43I bet you could guess it, John.
31:44He started following
31:46because of Dwayne Wade.
31:48Yeah, correct.
31:49Start of the second quarter,
31:51a missed shot by R.J. Barrett
31:52and a foul.
31:53And if that's on Wiggins,
31:54that's going to be number three.
31:56And Derek Spolstra
31:57looks bewildered by that.
31:59But Wiggins picks up
32:00his third foul.
32:01He's only taken one shot
32:03in the game.
32:03He's going to have to sit.
32:07I would call him
32:08Miami's second best defender
32:10behind Bam,
32:11and that's a big loss
32:12if he's going to have
32:13to sit down there.
32:14I'm not quite sure
32:16where the contact was.
32:18Almost looked like Barrett
32:19stepped out of bounds
32:20with that left foot too,
32:21but two shots nonetheless.
32:23And he's going to come out
32:24of the game
32:25with the third personal fouls.
32:26And that's really going to
32:28hurt his ability
32:29to play in this second quarter,
32:31which we just started.
32:32And Coach Spoh goes with
32:33not Simone Fontecchio,
32:35but with Keyshaud Johnson.
32:37By the way,
32:38this is glaring.
32:39The Raptors,
32:4010 of 11
32:41from the free throw line.
32:42He had yet to get
32:44to the free throw stripe
32:45in this game.
32:45Miami trails it by eight.
32:47Biggest lead so far for them.
32:49Miami at an eight-point lead
32:51early at 12 to 4.
32:53Mike has handling
32:55the point right now.
32:56Yakashona's coming
32:57to his left.
32:59Bam for three.
33:00Oh, off target.
33:04Miami just two for nine
33:06from downtown.
33:09Scotty Barnes back in,
33:11picked up two fouls
33:12on the game's
33:12first three minutes.
33:18Quickly gets a screen
33:19from Pirtle.
33:20And this is going
33:21to be an offensive foul.
33:23And I believe
33:24it's on Pirtle.
33:26That was a nice defense
33:27by Norman Powell
33:28who was giving up
33:30about four inches
33:31on Scotty Barnes
33:32and was able to contest him
33:34and get him to pick up
33:35his dribble
33:36where he was stuck.
33:38And that really helped
33:39Miami in that
33:40defensive possession.
33:42Oh, Pirtle picked up
33:43his second foul
33:44on the defensive end.
33:45And you know what?
33:46He just picked up
33:47his third foul
33:48on this end.
33:49An offensive foul
33:49followed by a defensive foul.
33:51And all of a sudden,
33:52Darko Ryakovich
33:53has a center
33:54in first half foul trouble.
33:56So Mamou Kelosvili
33:57will come back in
33:58and Pirtle will sit out.
34:00That right hand
34:01right on Bam.
34:02And that's the mobility
34:03that Bam has.
34:05And he puts guys
34:06like Pirtle
34:07who are bigger,
34:08slower players
34:09at seven feet,
34:10253 pounds,
34:11trying to move his feet
34:12to stay with the quicker.
34:13Bam, not easy.
34:14The hands come out.
34:15They reach,
34:16they grab,
34:17and he picks up
34:17his third foul.
34:18There's a Toronto team
34:19that has held Miami
34:20to three of their
34:21five lowest scoring
34:22games of the season.
34:23All three under 100.
34:25Just 94 points
34:26per game
34:27against Toronto.
34:28Oh, Bam slam!
34:29And a king-sized version
34:32of a slam dunk
34:33for the captain.
34:34He rose up
34:35on that one right there
34:37and stretched it out.
34:39Eric Spolscher
34:40says he was looking
34:41for some inspiring plays.
34:43We just got one.
34:44Quickly with a miss.
34:45Rebound out.
34:46Jaime Hacquez Jr.
34:48He trailing by six.
34:52Powell,
34:52backdoor cut.
34:54He got there
34:55and drew the foul
34:56as well.
34:57That's the storm
34:58in Norman
34:58that tore through
34:59the first half
35:00of the season
35:00en route
35:01to his first
35:02all-star appearance
35:03in season number 11.
35:04Give-and-go action
35:06there
35:06and Jaime
35:07able to find
35:08Norm on the back cut
35:10and gets to the weak
35:11side of the rim.
35:12We're going to watch
35:12this Bam finish again.
35:14It was tremendous.
35:15He's battling Mamu.
35:16Quick drive attack.
35:18Kicks it out
35:19and then here
35:21it's Jaime
35:21finding him again
35:22on the bounce
35:23and look at the way
35:24he rides up
35:25and just finishes
35:27with Barnes
35:28in his way there
35:29who was worried
35:29about picking up
35:30that third foul.
35:31Barnes was in the process
35:32of evacuating the area.
35:35Smartly so.
35:38First free-through
35:38attempt of the game
35:39a miss from Powell
35:40where two minutes
35:42into the second quarter
35:43a 34-30 Toronto lead.
35:46Game that has meaning
35:47for both teams.
35:49Back.
35:51Inside.
35:52And out it comes
35:53Mamu.
35:55And Mamu
35:56you shot that one
35:57too hard
35:57but a defensive
35:58rebounding foul
35:59against Miami.
36:02It's
36:05it's on
36:06you have to show
36:07no Norman Powell
36:08first on Norman
36:09first team foul
36:11on Miami.
36:11Norman
36:12trying to lock up
36:14the arm there
36:14of Jacoby
36:17Walter
36:18you see that left arm
36:19trying to clamp down
36:20on the bigger Walter.
36:21Walter made sure
36:23we saw that.
36:24Norman Powell
36:26spent his
36:27first six seasons
36:28as a Toronto Raptor
36:29part of their
36:292019 NBA
36:31state championship.
36:33Their only championship
36:34in their 30 previous NBA season.
36:36Emmanuel quickly.
36:38He triples through that.
36:40Now quickly
36:41with 176 threes this year.
36:43He's had a good season
36:44for them
36:45and almost 17 points a game.
36:47Bam.
36:47Jump hooking.
36:49and succeeding.
36:51Jonah
36:51to me
36:52he's at his best
36:53when he's in that
36:54painted area.
36:55Bamu!
36:55Oh
36:56rejected underneath.
36:57Great defense
36:58by the captain.
36:59It's just on the move
37:00period for Bam
37:01catching it at the rim
37:02or off the dribble.
37:03Oh Powell
37:04gets fouled
37:04on his way
37:05to the basket
37:05so on each end
37:07of the floor
37:07the Heat have been aggressive.
37:08They have
37:09and Norm this time
37:10getting loose
37:11Heat playing with pace
37:12they had numbers
37:13as the Raptors
37:14trailing to get back
37:16and the Heat
37:17continued to attack.
37:19Norm will go to the line
37:20here for two
37:21this will be Miami's
37:23second and third
37:23free throw.
37:26Again
37:27Eric Swolster said
37:28we need inspiration
37:29maybe a defensive play
37:30that ignites us
37:31or maybe it's a dunk
37:33like what Bam just did
37:34but you see the Heat
37:35are locked into this game
37:37and John
37:38it's not even about
37:39the tenth spot
37:40the ninth spot
37:41the eighth spot
37:42it's about
37:43tapping into the Heat's
37:44competitive edge
37:45and willpower
37:46and the fight
37:47and grit
37:48this franchise
37:48has always shown.
37:49And rising to the occasion
37:51with that competitive will
37:52and that's
37:54important this time of year
37:55is everyone is playing
37:56for something
37:57and you can't
37:58come out flat
37:59you gotta bring it
38:00every game.
38:01Pacquets goes out
38:02two points
38:03three assists
38:04in his eight minutes
38:06right now it's
38:07Larson
38:08you have to show
38:08this Powell
38:09Keyshaud Johnson
38:10and Bam Adebayo
38:13Bam leads the Heat
38:14with nine points
38:15in the Nicklin
38:17that's ten
38:17for Toronto
38:18and RJ Barrett
38:20has a level
38:23but just one
38:24for three
38:25three through a shooting
38:26so far for Norman Powell
38:27Walter missed it badly
38:29Defected
38:30stolen by Murray Boyles
38:31that's Walter
38:32and that's good
38:33as a Kobe Walker
38:35will get the points
38:36but it was
38:36the defense of
38:38Colin Murray Boyles
38:39that made the play
38:40for Toronto
38:41timeout heat
38:43Miami's fifth
38:44turnover here
38:45on this initial miss
38:46and the steal
38:48and that gives
38:50a dangerous
38:51three-point shooter
38:52another opportunity
38:53frustrating
38:53not getting a couple
38:55calls
38:55but this is the response
38:56right
38:56take it right back
38:57into the paint
38:58with a nice baby hook
38:59finish
39:00and then watch defense
39:01sprinting back
39:02seeing the ball
39:03changing
39:04challenging his shot
39:05pushing out
39:05and getting the other way
39:07this is the way
39:08the Miami have to play
39:09every single time
39:10here he is again
39:11running all the way
39:12to the rim
39:12and Norm with the finish
39:14so listen
39:15sometimes it's frustrating
39:16when you're getting
39:16dinged for
39:18taps it feels like
39:19and then you're going
39:20the other way
39:20and not getting what you want
39:21but it is the response
39:23you've got to put your head down
39:24and go a little harder
39:25but John
39:25maybe you can kind of speak
39:27to what that feels like
39:28as a player
39:29and how the response
39:30has to be
39:30with more physicality
39:31yeah that's a great point
39:32Amy
39:33you have to continue
39:34to push through
39:34and right now
39:36I think Miami
39:37has gotten off
39:38to a good start
39:39Toronto's come back
39:40and they need to
39:40to be even stronger
39:42Amy
39:42I agree
39:43and push through
39:44some of that
39:46pressure right now
39:47as we see the Raptors
39:48coming out
39:48and extending their defense
39:49heat
39:50need to make
39:51multiple efforts
39:52we hear coach Spoh
39:53talk about it all the time
39:54and do hard things
39:55and right now
39:55in the second quarter
39:57you've got to push back
39:58through
39:58five early turnovers
40:00for the heat
40:00is offset
40:01they're 56%
40:02shooting
40:03Toronto just one turn
40:04shooting worse
40:06but leading by seven
40:08Marsha
40:09probing
40:09and
40:10BAM
40:11tipping it home
40:11well BAM
40:13out of Bio
40:13is playing
40:14an uplifting game
40:15trying to
40:16help his teammates
40:17rise
40:1811 points
40:19to the captain
40:19Miami down by five
40:21he and Tyler
40:22much more engaged
40:23and activated
40:24early in this first half
40:25giving Miami
40:27a better offensive
40:28effort overall
40:29Barry bouncing
40:30Mary Boyle to the finish
40:33six points
40:34for the 20 year old rookie
40:37Toronto
40:38ahead by seven
40:39Norman Powell
40:41Walsh
40:41it gets it back
40:42at the Yucca
40:43Jonas
40:45well the rainbow three
40:46came down to Scottie Barnes
40:48Barnes only two points
40:50tonight
40:50has not
40:50taking a shot
40:51from the field
40:56here's Scottie
40:57there
40:58coming right
40:59and a deep
41:00foul
41:01Keyshaud Johnson
41:02was coming down
41:03to help
41:03and Johnson
41:04picks up the foul
41:05for Keyshaud Johnson
41:07the second year man
41:07out of Arizona
41:08tonight his 30th game
41:10of his second season
41:11played in 16 games
41:13last year
41:14as a rookie
41:14was outstanding
41:15each of the last few years
41:17in the G League
41:18for the Sioux Falls
41:18Sky Force
41:19the slam dunk
41:20winner this year
41:21a very likable
41:22player and person
41:26always upbeat
41:27Keyshaud
41:29eight minutes left
41:30in the first half
41:33Barrett
41:36working against
41:37the rookie
41:37now Barnes
41:38so
41:39through the foul
41:39on Larson
41:40and that'll be
41:41Pella's second foul
41:42Pella
41:45uncharacteristically
41:46getting out of a stance
41:47there and committing
41:48to that fake
41:49and that's one
41:50you want to stay down
41:51on it
41:51because Scottie Barnes
41:52a 29%
41:54three-point shooter
41:55you know
41:56let him shoot that shot
41:58with a hand
41:58in his face
41:59Pella bites on it
42:00and draws the foul
42:02but they're saying
42:03it's not a shooting foul
42:04it'll be side out
42:05instead for Toronto
42:08if it comes to Barnes
42:10he is man-to-man
42:15Barrett
42:16bumped and fouled
42:17by Yucca Chona
42:17so
42:18the fourth team foul
42:20of a quarter
42:20for the Heat
42:21the first on
42:22Tash
42:22actually that's
42:24the 15th foul
42:25the Miami's
42:25over the limit
42:26for the second quarter
42:27in a row
42:29he'd have committed
42:3012,000
42:31have gotten
42:31on the free throw line
42:32just three times
42:33Norman Powell
42:34the only Heat player
42:34to get to the foul
42:36strike
42:36he should be the
42:3712th and 13th free throws
42:39of the game for Toronto
42:40this is really early in the
42:41quarter to put a team
42:42into the bonus too
42:43so just under
42:45the eight-minute mark here
42:47Toronto has an opportunity
42:49to go to the free throw line
42:51with any more fouls
42:52for the rest of the quarter
42:53Miami has got to defend
42:54and be physical
42:55but
42:56try to do so without
42:57picking up fouls
42:59and letting
42:59this Raptor
43:01lineup
43:01march to that free throw
43:02line again
43:03again
43:03Spoh has changed
43:04his lineup
43:05so it's Johnson
43:06Hawkins
43:07Adebayo
43:07Hero
43:08and Mitchell
43:08R.J. Barron
43:11he had 16 points
43:13on Tuesday night
43:13he already has 13
43:15tonight
43:20he shot Johnson with his first score of the game
43:24Miami down by seven
43:26super cut on the baseline for Keysight
43:29oh the foul
43:30will send
43:31a bullish
43:33Scotty Barnes to the free throw strike
43:34this is what Keyshawn Johnson does well
43:37uses his athleticism on the baseline
43:39hard cut
43:40Ingram had turned his head
43:42and Davion Mitchell continues to deliver passes
43:45and finding open cutters whenever possible here
43:49great angle here
43:50as he sees the cutter all along
43:52and
43:55really nice job
43:56let's see what
43:58Davion Mitchell
43:59now with three assists
44:01I like what he did in the last game
44:03just in terms of his
44:04floor game
44:05he's six assists
44:06one turn over for Davion
44:07continues to be a solid decision maker
44:09meanwhile
44:10Scotty Barnes has hurt the heat all year
44:1227 points
44:13back in late December against Miami
44:1525
44:16in the game Tuesday
44:18heat down by 87 14 left second quarter
44:23Tyler Hero
44:24she got started well
44:26tonight with seven quick points
44:29three on the 24th
44:32and the air ball knocked out of bounds by Ingram
44:36and they don't rule out a 24 second violation
44:39yes
44:41that's unfortunate
44:45Eric Spolstra got conversing with
44:49the associate head coach and top assistant Chris Quinn Malik Allen and Karan Butler to the other side of coach
44:56spoke
44:56this has got to be where he potentially
44:58he narrows the focus for the Heat offense and gets the ball to a band or Tyler
45:04in their half-court offense if they can't get something open in the transition
45:10Tyler mid-range magic
45:12there you go
45:13Tyler Hero with nine points
45:16Miami down by six
45:19he's shooting 55 percent from the field they have 32 points in the paint 16 more than the Raptors
45:26now Miami's back in their two three zone
45:29their change up defense
45:32well Barnes down the right spot right in the middle of that zone but he missed the uncontested jump
45:40baby on the crossover
45:42hockey

46:563 they're on a 7-to-1 run
46:59Tyler
46:59good vision and patience by hero
47:04towing along that baseline
47:33Here's Keyshawn really trying to
47:36make it tough on Barnes and
47:38contesting and getting the other
47:41end.
47:42We see him moving very well
47:43without the ball Tyler drawing
47:45again so much defensive help.
47:48Keyshawn finding that open area
47:51catch and receive Keyshawn
47:53Johnson capitalizing four
47:54points in his six minutes.
47:57It's Eric Spoelstra put him into
47:59the game due to foul trouble.
48:02Wiggins on the bench with three
48:03fouls.
48:04Really nice energy.
48:05He's brought on both ends of the
48:07floor.
48:07Thirteen points for Brandon
48:09Ingram.
48:10Raptors now 14 of 16 for the free
48:13throw line and ahead 14 to five
48:15in second chance points.
48:18They're ahead like four on the
48:19scoreboard.
48:20Mitchell.
48:20Oh he got to the basket drew the
48:22foul on Jacoby Walter.
48:25Listen Davion Mitchell takes every
48:26game personal but the Hinesville
48:28Georgia native played forty four
48:30games as a Raptor last year.
48:32They traded him in February to the
48:34Heat and he's a competitive guy.
48:36You can tell just by watching him
48:38play.
48:39Heat Nation but it always means
48:40something more to you when you
48:41come back and play.
48:42You used to play.
48:44You're damn right.
48:45Absolutely.
48:46And I can tell you he knows that
48:49they made a decision to stick with
48:52Jamal Shedd here in his second
48:53season and let Davion go and he's
48:56trying to show that maybe they made
48:58the wrong mistake and playing with a
49:00little bit of an edge and I love it.
49:03Seven points and four assists
49:04tonight for Davion.
49:08Just two of five at the free-throw
49:11line.
49:11They trail by three.
49:13The heaters shooting 57 percent for
49:16the field.
49:16They've helped to run up under 41
49:18percent.
49:19Free throws have been the
49:20difference.
49:21Ingram.
49:22Oh, get out of there!
49:24Brandon Ingram putting it up from
49:27everywhere tonight.
49:28He has 16 points.
49:29That's his first triple of the game.
49:31Boy, at 23 in the last game on three
49:33of five beyond the arc, he is showing
49:36why he is an elite score.
49:38Bam!
49:38Keeping it alive, but it comes down to
49:40the Raptors.
49:41This is Jamal Shedd.
49:45Ingram with four and a half minutes left
49:47in the hand.
49:49Shedd.
49:52Shedd.
49:53Rebound of Murray Boy.
49:55Ingram.
49:57Back to Shedd.
50:01One chance too many.
50:03Jamal Shedd with his second triple.
50:06So it's now 17 second chance points
50:09for the Raptors.
50:11Bam.
50:12Dotted line.
50:14Oh!
50:14He got Mamu to commit.
50:16And Mamu Kelo's Philly pick
50:18up his second foul.
50:19It's so rare you get the guy on the
50:21second ball fake.
50:22If they stay down on the first one,
50:24usually they're disciplined enough to
50:26hold their position.
50:27The initial ball fake, great position,
50:30and then Mamu bites on the second
50:33ball fake and Bam leaning in.
50:34The first free throws of the game for Bam
50:37Adebayo.
50:38Mamu Kelo's Philly picking up his
50:40first foul.
50:42Let's pause for a word from Honda.
50:44See that brand new Hyundai Santa Fe?
50:46Yeah.
50:46I only paid two.
50:48Finish this bucket on your own.
50:49Enjoy your new car.
50:50You feel so right, it almost feels wrong.
50:53The Hyundai getaway sales event.
50:57By the way, in the couple of days we've
51:00been here, the weather's gotten better.
51:01It was 32 degrees on Tuesday night.
51:03A very comfortable 55 degrees outside
51:06on this Thursday evening in a beautiful
51:09city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
51:12Modern, clean, friendly folks.
51:14They're a real nice mix of people.
51:16And they do appreciate their hockey
51:19and their basketball.
51:24Raptors, they've missed the playoffs
51:26three straight years and four of the
51:28last five seasons.
51:29They come off a 30-win season.
51:31And here they are sitting with 44
51:34victories.
51:35They're at New York Friday.
51:36They close the regular season
51:38against Brooklyn on Sunday.
51:39Right now, they're number six in
51:41the East.
51:42A half game behind Atlanta.
51:44And John, they won the season
51:45series against the Hawks.
51:46Four games to none.
51:50Bam gets one of the two.
51:52The Heat down by eight points.
51:55Miami just three out of seven
51:57at the foul on.
51:58Oh, ball throw behind the receiver.
52:01Saved in though.
52:02Barrett made the play.
52:04And Mary Paul is down.
52:07And the Raptors lead is down ten.
52:09Their biggest lead of the game.
52:13Heroes hanging in the air that missing.
52:16And no foul.
52:19RJ Barrett.
52:25Larson fronting Ingram.
52:27Trying to deny that pass.
52:30Ingram with a bump.
52:32And a jumper.
52:33And a bucket.
52:34Defense does not seem to bother.
52:37Brandon Ingram.
52:38Ingram with 18 points.
52:40The Raptors on a 13-2 answer.
52:43They lead by 12.
52:44Leading with that right shoulder.
52:46Creating the space on Pella.
52:48And getting to that mid-range comfort jumper.
52:54Seven season ticket memberships is right now.
52:57You can call 786-777-HOOP.

53:11Heat up your schedule.
53:13Lock in your seats.
53:14Before it's too late.
53:16Always good to see folks wearing their heat gear.
53:19In all 29 of the other NBA cities.
53:22John.
53:23Sitting next to a guy wearing a Grizzlies.
53:26That's a Vancouver Grizzlies.
53:27That's an old school Vancouver Grizzlies.
53:29Back when they had a franchise.
53:31Wow.
53:32There's a short-lived situation.
53:35Vancouver a beautiful city.
53:37Tyler Hero missing the three-pointer.
53:40Damn hanging on the rim.
53:41Trying to get that rebound.
53:42But it's Toronto.
53:43With under three minutes left in the half.
53:45And they're ahead by a dozen.
53:47Murray Boyles.
53:48Oh my.
53:49A left-hand sledgehammer slam.
53:52Wow.
53:53Told you that rookie is powerful.
53:55He has a chance to be a very dynamic player.
53:58I'm the steel by Barrett.
54:00I like that.
54:01He is a country strong.
54:02Columbia, South Carolina.
54:04Barrett able to score.
54:06A Toronto rolling right now.
54:08It's 62-46.
54:11Miami down by 16.
54:13A 17-2 run for Toronto.
54:17Wow.
54:18As this game shifted.
54:202-20 left in the second quarter.
54:24Bam trying to come up with an answer.
54:27Oh, the long arms of Emmanuel quickly.
54:30That's the way they close out so quick.
54:33And quickly does the right thing.
54:35And shades to the left side of Jaime Jaquez Jr.
54:39to play him but also protect the pass to the wing to get the three-point shot.
54:45Now the Heater have a very short shot clock they've got to manage right now with 3.3 seconds.
54:50Scottie Barnes in.
54:52Colin Murray boils out.
54:5410 points.
54:557 rebounds.
54:56In 13 minutes for that dynamic unheralded rookie.
55:03Bam.
55:04Two on the shot clock.
55:05Got it off.
55:08Unfortunately, it was only half the battle.
55:10Here comes quickly.
55:16And again, the watch wasura.
