00:00You know, we actually filmed at a ranch that was next to my ranch.
00:03It was so close that I would ride my horse to set.
00:05What?
00:06You were riding your horse to the Euphoria set?
00:11I rode my horse to the Euphoria set.
00:13Everybody else would park their cars by the trailer.
00:16And you would park your horse?
00:17And I would just tie my horse up to the trailer.
00:20And he'd come down to set, and they'd be forklifting cars over him.
00:23And he's just unspookable.
00:25Moose, I've done some westerns with him before.
00:27And he's just an incredible horse and scene partner.
00:31I might have cost Sam Levinson a little bit of money because Ashley fell in love with Moose.
00:35And she was like, we need a ranch.
00:37We need a horse.
00:38And I'm like, Sam, I'm sorry.
00:40I just got a little more expensive.
00:43So tell me, how did you get involved?
00:44How did you end up on Euphoria?
00:46Well, you know, just reading for it was a dream come true.
00:49And I hadn't seen the show before that, so I started binging it.
00:52And I was obsessed.
00:53And I was like, please, please, please let this work out.
00:57And, you know, a lot of guys were reaped for this role.
00:59And Sam loved Toby Wallace and I so much that he split the role in two.
01:04So it became this kind of dysfunctional father-son duo.
01:09Oh, wow.
01:10And teaching them about the family business, which, of course, is dealing drugs.
01:14And Martha Kelly plays my cousin.
01:16And so she comes to live with us at the end of season two and add to the family business.
01:22How did you get back on your horse and rode home but sort of wash the doctors off?
01:30Because it's tough.
01:31Well, when you're hopping on a horse like Moose or any horse, really, it's kind of easy to ground yourself
01:37and wash off all the bad stuff you just did on screen.
01:40I mean, it was hard not loving Zendaya on camera as much as I do in real life.
01:49You know, I feel like the audience might have an opinion about it.
01:52And they're going to be like, oh, leave her alone.
01:54But that was the job.
01:55So we did it as best we could.
01:57Tell me about working with Zendaya.
01:58Yeah.
01:59How was it like working with Zendaya?
02:00Oh, Zendaya was, she's just so, she's so grounded and down to earth.
02:05And even though she's the biggest movie star in the world right now, like, she just feels like, you know,
02:11your friend you grew up with.
02:12Like, she is so cool.
02:14She's so chill.
02:15She's so smart.
02:16Like, I just can't say enough good things about her.
02:18It's pretty amazing when you watch her in this role.
02:21You forget it's her.
02:23You really believe it's real.
02:24Which is pretty, I mean, she's one of the biggest movie stars.
02:28And she just loses herself in the role.
02:30Yeah, she is one of the most talented actresses out here.
02:34And, yeah, it's incredible seeing her doing her thing.
02:37It's so, she makes it look effortless.
02:41And, yeah, coming into a show like this, especially with the bad guys being so bad.
02:46Like, if you see these characters, you're like, I'm really scared.
02:51Yeah, and Sam's so good about casting, like, real people in these roles.
02:55And I feel like that's why it gets the results that it gets.
02:58And so I feel like for me it was a little intimidating coming in and being like, how do you
03:02take this to the next level and ground this and not just be playing some bad guy?
03:07Because a lot of these guys, like, you know, you're like, oh, you've been in and out of prison.
03:13And for somebody who hasn't, you know, it was a, that was the job.
03:19So has Sam told you that there's going to be a season four?
03:24Well, I know there's rumors going around that this is the end.
03:28I want to say maybe there's rumors going around that it isn't.
03:32So we will see.
03:34That is good spin, my friend.
03:36That is really good.
03:37Yeah, I'm not sure how much I can say, but I think I was maybe not going to be around
03:46anymore at the end of the season.
03:48And all of a sudden they were like, we're going to keep you around.
03:51So naturally, wishfully thinking, I'm hoping, wishing and praying.
03:55I'm sure all the fans are.
03:57Like, it's just, it's affected so many people in such a beautiful way that, like, I just, I don't want
04:02it to end either because it's been the most incredible experience of my career.
04:08And, man, I love working with Sam.
04:10He's just so accessible.
04:13And so, but you just feel like you can walk into Video Village and be like, I got ten ideas.
04:18And he's going to look at them and be like, what's mucking?
04:21And I'm like, oh, that's where you're shoveling horse shit.
04:24And he'll be like, I like the mucking thing.
