00:36they played well i was happy with the effort last night and then you just you just had that
00:41feeling in your stomach in the third period they got the goal and you're like wow they just scored
00:47that just happened red wings scored nice up three two okay wow they're really taking their time before
00:52they pull the goaltender and they finally pull the goaltender and it's icing after icing after
00:56icing i'm like you can't keep doing that you cannot keep doing that and then you know sure
01:02enough it cost them and eventually uh you know they lost a face-off when they've been see after it

01:08copper kind of his comfort it was taking a face-off he was doing a great job a great job

01:13when you win three out of four that's great unfortunately the one he lost was the one that
01:17they just you know fed over and snipe goal and it sucks because it's not his fault it's
01:25it's just i don't know what it is man with this team they they can't lock it down they have

01:31been able to lock it down this is this is two absolutely heartbreaking losses that we've seen
01:37in that fashion where they've had the lead late in the game and they and they don't they don't hold
01:41it off at least this one they get a point out of it but it doesn't matter it's too late

01:45it's basically done i mean four games left they're three points behind which effectively makes
01:52it four points behind um because of the regulation win situation it's just it's a bad situation and
01:59you're watching in real time too in the bottom of the screen you see the score updates with
02:03tampa and and ottawa and you know ottawa just kept expanding the lead it went from three to one it

02:11three two and then it's four two five two six two like what how are they scoring like five goals

02:17third i'm just it's just awful it's awful and then afterwards the guys come out and they talk and
02:24dylan larkin and his body language and he just he looks shook by what's happened like you cannot
02:29believe this is happening here's the thing too in watching that game their best players had many
02:35opportunities to end it in in regulation in overtime
02:43lucas raymond had a breakaway dylan larkin had so many chances in overtime the red wings skated
02:50circles around columbus in that four on four oh my god it was it was it was incredible and they
02:57but the puck's not going in the net and dylan larkin in three on three the ice seemed tilted
03:04for much of it but the puck wasn't going in the net and you know it's one of those deals

03:13you see a performance like that and it makes you think are they trying to get eliminated
03:21everything they could do to not get the two points was done and all we want scott all we want

03:37brought us a tray full of cupcakes with every team their logo 16 cupcakes on a fondant on top and
03:44and when they get and when they when that team got eliminated gator ate the cupcake that was a huge
03:50mistake and well i couldn't believe you agreed to it because we have one weekend where like four
03:55teams got eliminated on monday you had to annihilate four of these massive cupcakes that were getting
04:00weeks old yeah i soon found out there was a better way to to deal with that but it's it's
04:07still that
04:07was a that was not my proudest moment no they had to microwave them to get them softer it was

04:12was actually one of our favorite moments it was a cool promotion right it was a great promotion every
04:18team that made the playoffs there was 16 cupcakes big fondant with their logo on the top and we said
04:23this would be fun every time a team gets eliminated you eat the cupcake and you're like yeah it sounds
04:26cool yeah that's a lot of fun except it took two months and and we have weekends where you know

04:32bunch of teams get eliminated so we have three this whole thing you know we work our way massive
04:36massive cupcakes all we want though we just want a red wing cupcake that's all we're asking for is a
04:41red wing cupcake yeah that'd be nice just one of those but we can't have nice things and it's just
04:49last night was look people have already checked out they checked out weeks ago you know stoney
04:54played taps i don't know what it's been now two or three weeks now and i'm still upset about it

05:24did let out a little yelp and a fist bump and i looked around and caught myself i'm like am

05:33happen organically you don't but then you hear that okay they keep updating the time on ice for
05:39wierenski and it's like wow this is this is all i know what's gonna happen i know what's gonna
05:45happen it's gonna happen it's gonna happen there sure enough you know let's shot go scores 17 seconds
05:52left or whatever it was half the damn blue jackets are michigan players right it's it's just back
05:58breaking when you see that and then you go overtime okay well you know what i don't even care about
06:03over regulation wins or not it doesn't matter the win is what matters because you're not going to
06:07catch ottawa with the regulation wins so just win the game and then they can't get the goal in
06:13overtime and they dominated the overtime but they couldn't get the goal come on and then the shootout
06:20happens and i don't know what happens in that shootout with with gibson and gibson playing at home
06:26he's just not the same guy and you know the wierenski that got the ultimate winner
06:33it just and ken johnson is that a rough year he scores he scores he scores there's fantilly and
06:39yeah i it's it's just very very very frustrating to see and another devastating loss for this team
06:48and you know at some point the word devastating is going to be just removed and it's just it's just
06:53another loss for this i can't i can't help it like i go back and you go back and they're

06:57play tomorrow night and we're going to i i'm this morning i forget every morning and i flip the
07:02channel seven and scripts howard has not agreed to terms and you get the purple screen telling us

07:14right why couldn't it was a situation on saturday with that game we couldn't watch it but um i found
