00:00A lot of fight. I will give them that.
00:03I mean, let's face it, in a couple of those innings,
00:05they had some seeing eyes on those baseballs, but guess what?
00:09You need that in baseball. You need that in the major leagues.
00:11You need to find where the holes are, hit them through the hole,
00:14and hopefully things go well.
00:16I thought they did that last night.
00:17They made contact. You look at Alec Boehm in a big situation.
00:21I believe it was, I'm not sure if it was the fifth or the seventh inning.
00:25He hits that double, that little squibber double down the right field line.
00:28By the way, that was 66 miles an hour off the bat.
00:31Yeah, not a lot of power there.
00:32It is what it is, though. That was a two-strike.
00:35To me, that's an important at-bat.
00:37I mean, you're an 0-2 count and a pitch on way outside,
00:41and he went out and got it, kind of hit it off the end of the bat, big hit.
00:44And Bryce Harper, you know this dude has five doubles
00:48in his last two games in San Francisco?
00:50Well, if you remember correctly, last year he went off.
00:54I was saying, leading into that game,
00:57remember I was saying I'm officially sounding the alarms on Bryce Harper,
01:00and then he had that huge night in San Francisco,
01:03and everyone was calling me up on the show saying, like,
01:06you've got to keep doing this.
01:07It gets Harper motivated.
01:09He had, what was it, three extra base hits, I think, in that game.
01:11I think he had four.
01:13I think he had a home run, too.
01:14I'm not sure.
01:15I think you're right.
01:15So Bryce Harper likes playing in San Francisco.
01:18Yeah.
01:18And one of those hits last night came when the score was 4-2.
01:23Phillies were down two, Harper at the plate.
01:25Here's what it sounded like from the showman.
01:28Want to know.
01:30Hit on the ground, right side.
01:31Base hit into right field.
01:32One run is in.
01:33Here comes Turner.
01:35He's going to score.
01:36And Harper has three hits tonight in three RBIs,
01:39and the Phillies have tied it up at four.
01:42So there it was on NBC Sports Philadelphia from our own Tom McCarthy.
01:46Are you feeling better about Harper?
01:48I know it was only one game, but he looked really good last night.
01:51You know what's funny?
01:52I feel better that he's hitting the ball hard.
01:55I think a lot of people look at, well, where are the home runs?
01:58I don't care.
01:59Like, in all honesty, I don't care.
02:01I'd rather see him shoot doubles up the gaps all day long.
02:04This is one of those guys that when he gets in a groove, this is what he'll do.
02:09He'll clump hits together instead of, like, a home run here,
02:13then 20 bad at-bats, then a home run, then 10 bad at-bats.
02:16But, I mean, I'd rather see a game like he just had because think about this for a second.
02:22You don't think that's a confidence booster?
02:23I don't care who you are.
02:24I don't care if you're the greatest player to ever live.
02:26You come up with three hits, a couple doubles, some RBIs mixed in.
02:31That's sprinkling the game around.
02:33That's feeling good about yourself.
