00:00Jason, how clutch is the showman Bryce Harper?
00:05Hey, Bill, that was an all-time Bryce moment, right?
00:08I felt like it was a reminder that he lives for those moments.
00:14It's funny that he hasn't had one for a really long time.
00:17You know, he only had one home run in the eighth inning or later
00:21to tie a game or give the Phillies a lead
00:24in the last two regular seasons combined?
00:28Crazy.
00:29And he obviously hadn't had one of those in a moment like that
00:35since Bedlam at the bank.
00:38But, I mean, that was the longest home run try I've ever seen him take.
00:44And I felt like somebody who watched the WBC closely,
00:49I thought we saw a really good version of Bryce in most ways in the WBC.
00:56I saw a guy who just reminded me how much he knows baseball.
01:03I thought he had fun.
01:05He celebrated a game.
01:07He was very gracious in congratulating those Venezuelan players last night.
01:13And, Bill, I know you were worried about him before last night,
01:16but seriously, man, I think Bryce is in a good place.
01:20His bats have been better.
01:23Just not chasing as much as last year.
01:26Better pitch recognition, less guessing.
01:29He's had a lot of balls really hard.
01:32And just my conversations with him before he left,
01:34I think he's in a better frame of mind than he was last year.
01:39And maybe with a little help from the president of baseball ops,
01:43he is highly motivated.
01:45Yeah.
