Denuncian peligro de muerte por colapso inminente de pared en el Liceo Ercilia Pepín

SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS – Lo que debería ser un espacio de recreación y aprendizaje se ha convertido en una "trampa mortal" para los cientos de estudiantes que asisten al Liceo Ercilia Pepín. Así lo denunció Isaac Díaz Vargas, vocero de la Fuerza Juvenil Dominicana (FJD), quien alertó sobre el estado crítico de la pared trasera del plantel.  Según Díaz Vargas, la estructura se encuentra en un avanzado estado de deterioro, al punto de que cualquier fenómeno natural podría desencadenar una tragedia.  "Esa pared, con cualquier temblor o con una fuerte lluvia, puede caerle arriba a un estudiante y ser una noticia muy lamentable, incluso hasta una muerte", advirtió el dirigente estudiantil.  Ante la falta de respuesta institucional, los propios estudiantes han tenido que improvisar una verja perimetral para delimitar el área y evitar que sus compañeros se acerquen a la zona de mayor riesgo.  Autoridades "hacen caso omiso"  La denuncia surge tras el asueto de Semana Santa y un paro de labores convocado por la Asociación Dominicana de Profesores (ADP). Díaz Vargas explicó que se entregó la documentación correspondiente tanto al Distrito como a la Regional de Educación, solicitando que aprovecharan los días sin docencia para intervenir el centro.  "Vemos que estas necesidades ni siquiera han hecho el levantamiento de su parte para ver qué es lo que pasa y resolverlas", señaló con frustración, indicando que el Ministerio de Educación parece ignorar las precariedades básicas de los centros educativos en el municipio.  Crisis generalizada en el sistema educativo local  El Liceo Ercilia Pepín no es el único en la lista de espera. El vocero de la FJD mencionó una serie de planteles que requieren intervención urgente, entre los que destacan:  Liceo Tomasina de la Cruz (Los Rieles)  Liceo Politécnico Manuel María Castillo  Liceo Hernán José Sánchez (Aguayo)  Politécnico de La Caoba (Terminación)  Escuela de Madeja (Paralizada desde 2019)  Los estudiantes exigen que el Ministerio de Educación pase de las promesas a la acción antes de que ocurra un evento irreversible. "Casi todos los centros en el municipio tienen problemáticas que las autoridades saben, pero se niegan a cumplir", concluyó Díaz Vargas.
