05:32there was it was definitely contemplation of of spending the day out at the bar you know camping out

09:32going to go into the portal for certain schools okay who's not going to go pro and you've got
09:37incoming freshman classes you can go from that standpoint but you still don't really know um
09:42one thing i think we can all say pretty soundly though is the big tens in good shape it is

09:47good shape um i think all three of those different polls have all three of those teams in the top
09:52in the top seven i mean the athletic had michigan state at seven illinois at one michigan at two
09:57i think it was jay williams on the post game last night who said look who's won the last three
10:01national championships in football look who just cut down nets in men's and women's basketball
10:07and he he said nla nil is everyone playing with the same rules i think it was j j williams
10:13and it's
10:14been very very good for the big ten it is the big ten flexing its muscle well in college basketball
10:20has changed because it used to be who has the best recruiting class who's got the best freshman and
10:24you had kentucky with every year they'd have three to five five star recruits and duke was
10:29the same way north carolina was the same way these were the blue blood uh programs that were were doing
10:35it and and teams in the big ten would you know might have a couple guys in the top 50
10:40or the top 100
10:41and that's it um things have changed now because it's no longer necessarily just about your incoming
10:48freshman they play a role but it's more about the veterans you can get in and who you can get
10:52in the
10:52transfer class um but if you do what i mean a lesson can certainly be learned by what dusty
10:59may was able to accomplish here but i really do think that's kind of a one-off for him because

11:03that they've got the foundation there they've got guys are clearly going to come back now you're no
11:09longer replacing an entire team that went eight and 24 a couple years ago now you're able to reload on
11:16a national championship team or fortify national championship team might be the better way to look
11:21look at it because you're not replacing five guys no and then you know they've when you take
11:28over a program and you're eight and 24 there's your choices are okay do i have time to build this
11:37through freshman should i hit the portal hard and i mean the four guys they brought in this year it's
11:44not unusual to get four guys like four guys is not a ton but he got four and the fifth
11:49from last year
