01:52Welcome, welcome, welcome to The Tonight Show.
01:55This is it. You're watching it.
02:01This is so exciting.
02:03We are coming to you after the Winter Olympics
02:05opening ceremony in Milan.
02:12What I love about the Olympics is that it's a time
02:14for the country to put aside our differences
02:16and to root against a 16-year-old from Finland.
02:19Don't you agree? That's what it's all about.
02:21Yeah, there are 93 countries competing in 116 events,
02:25and this year, they've added eight new ones.
02:28Yeah, I'd say the most interesting new event
02:30is the four-man luge. That one's interesting.
02:32I don't know how...
02:34I don't know how they stay like that.
02:37I want to say it's like Lego bricks, but it's too cold.
02:39I don't know what...
02:41Personally, I love to watch downhill skiing.
02:44Yeah, right now...
02:46Right now, the only thing going downhill faster is Bitcoin.
02:49Can you agree? I mean...
02:50Yeah, the Winter Olympics are here,
02:52and I saw that every sport has its own unique logo
02:55designed for the games.
02:56For example, here's alpine skiing.
02:58Yeah, well, it turns out,
03:00while these are official logos for Olympic events,
03:02they're also the unofficial logos for other things.
03:05I'll show you what I mean. Check out this logo here.
03:07Officially, it's figure skating.
03:10Unofficially, it's your mom on the dance floor
03:12when the wedding has an open bar.
03:14Blurred lines!
03:16Hey, hey, hey, hey!
03:18Hey, hey, hey, hey! Whoa! Hey!
03:21Like, here's another logo.
03:23Blurred lines.
03:24Officially, it's speed skating.
03:26Unofficially, it's everyone in boarding group D
03:28when they call boarding group A.
03:30It's like, get your stuff! Get your stuff!
03:32Come on! Get your stuff! Come on!
03:33We're almost there! Get your stuff!
03:37Here's another one here.
03:38Officially, this is freestyle skiing.
03:41Unofficially, it's white guy trying to use chopsticks correctly.
03:51Check out this logo.
03:53Yeah. Officially, it's bobsled.
03:57Oh, don't. No. Family show.
04:00Don't beat me to the joke.
04:02Let me tell the joke.
04:05Unofficially, it's an unwanted DM on Hinge.
04:08There you have it.
04:08Hey!
04:11How they keep the four-man luge together.
04:13Yeah.
04:14Yeah.
04:17Here's another.
04:18Officially, it's luge.
04:20Unofficially, it's sleeping in your childhood bed as an adult.
04:23It's like, I should have stayed in a hotel.
04:25What am I doing?
04:26Check out this one.
04:27Officially, this is skeleton.
04:29Ooh.
04:30Unofficially, it's wondering if the masseuse forgot about you.
04:32I was like, uh...
04:34Ahem.
04:35Ahem.
04:36Ahem.
04:38And finally, here's one more.
04:39Officially, it's ice hockey.
04:41Unofficially, it's that sport from Heated Rivalry.
04:44There you have to see.
04:45Yeah, I know that story. I know that story.
04:50Of course, the big moment of the opening ceremony
04:53was when the torches lit the Olympic cauldrons.
04:55Can we see the torches?
04:57Yeah, there they are there.
04:58Apparently, they were inspired by the sacred fire of Olympia
05:01and not my cousin's vape pens.
05:03Oh.
05:05I was confused. I found out today. Yeah.
05:08That's right, guys.
05:09It's also Super Bowl weekend,
05:11with the Seattle Seahawks taking on the New England Patriots.
05:16Yep, this Sunday is Super Bowl 60,
05:18and I read that Monday after the game
05:20is known as Super Sick Monday
05:22because over 20 million people skip work.
05:25And I guess those people who called in sick
05:27use a special excuse generator to get out of it.
05:30Here, I'll show you how it works.
05:31For example, when your boss asks,
05:33why aren't you coming in today, it tells you to say...
05:37I can't make it because...
05:39I got a four-alarm norovirus from my dad seven later did.
05:41You see? Very easy excuses, though.
05:44Here's another. It could say...
05:47I have a very important appointment
05:49with Dr. Merlot and Nurse Bridgerton.
05:53Dr. Merlot and Nurse Bridgerton.
05:58Yeah. And, finally, you could say...
06:02Sorry, but I have to flee to Mexico to hide from DraftKings.
06:06Oh, that happened, right? These are good excuses.
06:10Wow. Thank you.
06:15Finally, if you're hosting a Super Bowl party this weekend,
06:18I saw a commercial that might be helpful. Take a look.
06:21I'm so pumped for the big game.
06:23Oh, me too. But I don't know what to do.
06:25I made a playlist for the party,
06:26but there isn't enough time to play all the songs.
06:29What about during commercial breaks?
06:30Need more time.
06:31During timeouts?
06:32Too many songs.
06:33Well, then, I've got something I think you're going to like.
06:36What's that?
06:36It's a brand new CD for people who are short on time
06:38but still want to party.
06:39Now, that's what I call just the most famous two seconds of a song.
06:43Whoa!
06:44That's right.
06:45It's the time-saving CD compilation you've been waiting for.
06:48Now, that's what I call just the most famous two seconds of a song.
06:51It's all the hits you love played in just two-second snippets.
06:54Instead of three minutes of all-star, you just get...
06:56Somebody!
06:57And that's it.
06:58You'll hear all your favorite tunes like...
07:01I will always love you.
07:02Hello!

07:26Just this part from My Sharona.
07:28Oh, I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-Wooh!
07:31And more.
07:32Turn around
07:34when you hear that song from I Feel Good.
07:45like just the very beginning of the star spangled banner oh just the most famous five letters from
07:51the alphabet song l-m-n-o-p and happy birthday ha order now and we'll throw in now that's

09:46love having you on the show you look great everything good you're having me everything's
09:49fantastic yeah uh you brought us a little uh a video of something that hasn't been seen before
09:54oh yes a view on on a dune buggy which sounds exciting it's very exciting if you've ever done it
10:00it's it's what happens is maybe less exciting but really i was in abu dhabi with uh my brother and
10:06a
10:06couple of mates and having fun and driving around the sand dunes and uh let's take a look here and
10:11maybe you can tell us what's happening that's me up front there oh get a little confident and then
10:16gorgeous oh yeah dude you know the worst part i smacked my hand on the sand really hard
10:23and uh consider the sand dune off the side there wait you got out and did that
10:29i would have been commercial right and so i was kind of
10:32at the moment i did it i knew there were about 300 people up on the hill going
10:36oh god he's dead yes we're all getting sued so i was like just get out and tell him you're
10:42okay
10:42and i was like just gonna barely remember it but but the sand dune went off like another 50 meters
10:47so
10:47i would have that would have been the worst part if i'd have rolled once more it would have been
10:50uh
10:51i wouldn't have been here having a chat with you right now oh my gosh how did you know how
10:55to react or
10:56did you know how to react to reaction just embraced myself and yeah headbutted the sand i didn't know how
11:00to
11:00react it was i just got a little overconfident my ambition outweighed my my talent one of those
11:07moments you know where you sort of i'm so happy you're here you know we are me too i won't
11:11remember
11:11most of the conversation yeah yeah i would have steered you along yeah uh marvel fans are excited
11:16because uh avengers doomsday uh comes out this year you are you are returning as thor uh there's probably
11:26not much you can tell me we've done this dance before uh marvel won't let you yeah the experience
11:33is amazing it's incredible yes your co-star uh in your new movie crime 101 uh hallie berry amazing
11:41she was on our show last night incredible uh yeah we love her did she tell you all the secrets
11:44well she
11:46wanted me to ask you something on her behalf let's take a look at what hallie said last night
11:50i have i have a question oh really he is gonna not like this so i just want you to
11:55know but i want
11:55you to do me a solid and do it of course i will please ask him this but for you
11:58anything ask him
12:00to tell you why i storm will not be in doomsday he knows the answer
12:14i mean hey i love this it starts with he's not gonna like this no i'm not yeah
12:19hey hey it doesn't have nothing to do with me we we we we try to your face is getting
12:24red i can
12:24tell you no it's just really hot in here and um it's not hot in here at all it's like
12:29you guys are
12:30hot right um why is she not in this room we'd it'd be the the wrong type of alchemy too
12:36many storms my
12:36my the the character i play also does some um weather pattern adjusting and they and they thought
12:43did we cancel each other out and then who would be the most powerful stormish person and and uh
12:49i don't know hey maybe maybe this is maybe this is all part of the ploy maybe she isn't it
12:54maybe
12:54you're going to spend a couple of dollars or maybe she's in the next one i don't know
12:59or maybe as i said it has nothing to do with oh my gosh you're so covered all your bases
13:04are
13:04covered yeah it has nothing to do with you i've never seen you get this embarrassed she's trying to
13:08get me fired she's doing a good job yeah yeah uh we do love her and you guys are great
13:15in the
13:16movie let's talk about your movie crime 101 yeah you star in it you also produced this uh what
13:21what drew you to this type of project this is a script that uh it's i haven't read anything like
13:26this for a long time i hadn't seen anything on the cinema for a long time reminded me of the
13:30the
13:30films the 70s 80s 90s classic heist films yes it's shot in the gritty backdrop of los angeles
13:37there's a beautiful nostalgia to it um but it it's it has a contemporary feel um the amazing cast
13:44hallie berry mark ruffalo barry keoghan monica barbaro i mean come on you it's a crime it's a it's
13:50you and hallie berry come on that's what everyone's talking about you can already see the chemistry
13:54which is not here which yeah but there's a um it's a it's a character-driven crime thriller
14:00and it really is to be honest one of the best things i've made in in years or probably ever
14:05it's
14:06the thing that i'm most proud of at the moment congratulations people to see it it's big it's
14:10beautiful it's cinematic it's got crazy car chases and action but yeah emotional depth yeah after
14:16driving uh in this movie did anyone see the dune buggy uh so this is what i was with my
14:21director
14:21yesterday and i did a lot of the driving 95 of it in the film and he insisted on doing
14:26it and he said
14:27no it's because you're a really good driver and the precision driving team of you know telling me how
14:31good you're doing it's like great i love it out in the streets of l.a and i showed him
14:34that yesterday
14:35and he's like i'm glad i didn't see this before we shot yeah exactly yeah how do we uh how
14:40do we
14:40set up the film and who you play and what uh so i play play a jury thief who uh
14:45has come from a very
14:47tough troubled times um broken home in and out of foster houses as a child
14:51will lead him his way into a life of crime and um he's at a point where the sort of
14:57personification
14:58of who he is and this character he's built to survive who um in that world uh it's it's it's
15:05old skin you know it's just time to shed the old and and into an attempt to find personal freedom
15:11decides one more job and it's a big particular risky heist yeah and this is where it becomes a cat
15:17and mouse between mark ruffalo who's the detective and myself who's chasing after you he's chasing after
15:22me and hellie berry who's also her character insurance broker at a crossroads in her life as
15:28well who um decides decides to take um a particular route or make a choice that she wouldn't normally
15:35have made so uh it's really good it's it it all crescendos and there were big classic heist finale
15:41but with a pretty special twist which i'm not going to tell you about yeah it's good it's a good
15:45good valentine's day uh movie yeah i want to show a clip here's chris hemsworth in crime 101 take a
15:51look
15:52what are you working for all right what are you working for boy
15:59well you know i'm i'm pretty much in between positions right yeah i'm looking to pursue a
16:05career in hospitality so yeah what do you tell you to do who are you working for
16:14what do you want to kiss me what do you tell you to do
16:25come on now chris hemsworth everybody crime 101 opens in theaters february 13th mr beast
16:34joins us after the break stick around
16:42if he gets this one correct everyone in the audience will win one thousand dollars
16:49open it up don't turn around all right
17:01we'll see you next time
17:05our next guest has the most subscribed channel on all of youtube and his videos have been watched
17:12over 110 billion times new episodes of his hit series beast games are available every wednesday
17:22on prime video please welcome mr beast
17:43i realize you have this many people oh yeah there's a lot of people here yeah okay how tall
17:49how tall are you mr beast you're tall wow six four six four yeah uh what there's uh on that
17:59every
17:59time i say my height there's a subreddit where they're like compare people's heights and like
18:03now that i said that when i open up reddit it's going to be them comparing me to other celebrities
18:06and they're always their theory is that i'm six two and i lie about it and i'm just like and
18:11so
18:11now i have to read theories about that i'm six yeah yeah so i just definitely what by the way
18:15what
18:15do i call you um i mean jimmy or mr beast just call me mr beast okay yeah mr beast
18:21let's have some
18:22fun let's get crazy all right let's get crazy and mr beast mr beast came from what an xbox yeah
18:30when you create an account it just gives you a random name yeah and it gave me like mr b6000
18:35and i
18:35was like good enough mr beast so you just lost the 6 000 yeah because everyone once i started like
18:41getting views on my videos everyone was like what's the 6 000 i was like i don't know wow yeah
18:45and then after
18:45a while i was just like okay i'll just get rid of it did you consider any other names besides
18:49mr
18:49beast uh that's a great question so actually because i do so many like weird different things
18:55at one point when i was in like high school i had a little bit of like a mental breakdown
18:58i was like
18:59should my channel be mr random because everything i do is random and uh i i almost switched it there
19:05but then i like mr random mr random because like one day i'm in the pyramids the next day i'm
19:09buried alive
19:09the next day we're you know giving a million people food i was like it's always random this is
19:13more on brand that's good and it's amazing well i mean you don't have to clap yeah because i killed
19:18it it died this is good yeah mr random sounds like an uh an offspring stranger things character
19:23that we don't talk about uh yeah this is your first time on the show so uh so i thought
19:28we can
19:28get to know you a little bit uh okay uh you first started posting videos uh was it on youtube
19:3415 years
19:34ago uh wow yeah when i was 11 15 16 years ago yeah and you turned it into the most
19:40subscribed channel
19:41in history uh do you remember the first post that you did uh yeah well it's an interesting story
19:47i was playing this facebook game called battle pirates none of you have ever heard of it like
19:50no one plays this game battle pirates yeah battle pirates i was a little kid and some hacker like
19:55destroyed my base and i was like i want to get them banned so i filmed it like uh with
19:59a little
19:59screen recorder upload it it got like 5 000 views and the person did end up getting banned wow and
20:08i was
20:09like this is kind of fun and then it kind of snowballed into the internet's powerful yeah
20:13well i i got lucky because the first video got views and i was like oh this is easy and
20:17then the
20:17next like 500 videos no views what was the first video that took off after um my proudest accomplishment
20:26i counted to 100 000 yeah i literally just counted one two three four five six seven yeah yeah you
20:39could
20:39yeah 40 hours straight 40 40 hours of counting what would make you want to do something like
20:44that uh well if you want to know the truth i was watching this uh game of thrones slash this
20:50other
20:50show called naruto and i was like man this is such a waste of time like i'm not making money
20:54doing
20:54this and i was like how i really i thought about this i'm not even joking how can i make
20:59money while
20:59watching shows i like and i was like well what if i while i watch it i just record myself
21:03counting
21:03and it worked out the entire time i was watching game of thrones the naruto but people don't
21:07know that and it's just me counting and so it looks like i'm just sitting there staring at a
21:11wall for you know 40 hours yeah and people are just clicking on it going i can't believe this
21:15dude is counting to 100 000 yeah no you're being too nice they're more clicking like what is this
21:20idiot doing like what an absolute moron you do so many fun things uh let me just uh read some
21:27of the
21:27titles of your videos oh gosh uh one is uh stop this train win a lamborghini yep that's a that
21:33one one of
21:34my favorite videos because we put a lamborghini on train tracks and then i gave someone my credit
21:38card i said they could buy whatever they want and if they stop the train before it gets the
21:42lamborghini basically derail it they get to keep the lamborghini and so they built like concrete walls
21:47on the train tracks they laid 18 wheelers and then i i sent a train like with a brick on
21:52the gas
21:53pedal full speed at it and then you see if the lamborghini survives how how
22:00it's i i thought it was pretty cool no it's very cool but i'm saying like how do you how
22:05do you
22:05legally do all this stuff how do you well where do you even start like i can't even like wear
22:10uh
22:10shoes on here without asking nbc if i'm allowed to like well i i don't uh obviously on youtube you
22:16know there's there's no network or anything so i can for the most part as long as it's legal do
22:20whatever i want you do so much more besides just youtube you have a line of toys you have food
22:24uh you
22:25have a software company uh you're starting a mobile uh phone service uh you even uh starting
22:31your own bank yeah uh but you also do a lot of uh philanthropy uh tell us about some of
22:36these things
22:36that you're working on right now well i mean where do i start uh but you can tell by what
22:41he just
22:41listed i i really enjoy building businesses i i find it a lot of fun and uh i guess the
22:45thing that i
22:46spend a lot of time on is just on the chocolate side with feastables uh um which we there's a
22:52lot of
22:52kids in a child labor that work on cacao farms and so feastables we pay all our farmers a living
22:55income reference price and we actually i didn't remediate the child labor on the farms and so
22:58you know the bigger feastables gets the more kids we can get out of child labor on cacao farms so
23:02that's why i'm very passionate about feastables and um wow yeah it's been the big focus on those
23:09that's the thing right i i i watch your uh i watch your videos uh uh my kids watch your
23:16videos too
23:16but that that's the my favorite ones when you give back and you see that you have heart and you
23:21go yeah
23:21this guy is using his celebrity for good thank you which is a good uh cool move uh i i
23:27love that
23:28that's what you should do we need it we need it thank you uh let's talk about beast games you're
23:32in the middle of your second season how do we set up what the show is oh boy well beast
23:38games is
23:38essentially like if you took a competition show and you just you know crank the dial up to the max
23:44yeah but then didn't stop and kept cranking it even though the dial broke wow and you just keep
23:49turning it beastify it yeah basically and so it's you know the largest cash prize ever most
23:53contestants ever all the usual stuff every season we break a bunch of world records and so season two
23:58we get 100 of the strongest people in the world that i can find to go against 100 of the
24:02smartest
24:02people in the world i can find and just some of the biggest set spectacles in the world for
24:06five million dollar prize it is so fun uh yeah to watch all of it what you built even the
24:12whole
24:12world that they live in yeah well city yeah we so each season of beast games we build a city
24:16for the contestants to live in because uh you know i a lot of competition shows in between
24:22um each challenge they go to a hotel room and i'm like that's lame you know like i want them
24:26to
24:26interact i want them to live with each other and like you know it to become a thing so like
24:31once they
24:31enter they're playing games or they're living in the city so it becomes like a community and they're
24:35there for 45 days it's so bizarre yeah it's fantastic to watch uh i'm a big fan obviously i want
24:41to show
24:41everyone a clip this is season two of beast games take a look the rest of you have survived the
24:46first

31:05a
31:05half-time performance for the super bowl it's a half-time performance yeah but instead of half times

33:33in fact everyone in the audience will win one thousand dollars
33:44everyone in the audience everyone
33:49yeah
