00:00One of New York City's best Italian restaurants just opened up in Midtown and needs to be on your list.
00:05I'm at Da Toscano inside the Iroquois Hotel on 44th Street and I am hungry.
00:09They're constantly slicing up imported Italian meats table side.
00:13I started with their warm rosemary focaccia, packed with prosciutto da parma,
00:17whipped ricotta and honey, and of course, caviar.
00:21The perfect way to start this feast.
00:23It's pasta time.
00:24First up, their signature Venetian duck ragu pappardelle with a slow-cooked duck ragu,
00:30house-made pappardelle, and shaved foie gras.
00:33Do not skip this pasta when you're here.
00:35So good.
00:36And I'm just getting started.
00:38Next up, their Garganelli Verde ragu bolognese.
00:42Green garganelli pasta loaded with their bolognese ragu and shaved parmigiano reggiano.
00:47On to their wildly popular black tagliatelle alimone with creamy jumbo lump crab,
00:53lemon, their black squidding tagliatelle, scallions, and garlic breadcrumbs.
01:00This is one of my favorite pastas in all of New York City.
01:05It's so good.
01:07And I'm never saying no to this sweet Italian sausage orchiette with their broccoli raw pesto and pickled cherry peppers.
01:14It all gets plated and finished with shaved parmigiano.
01:20Don't mind if I do.
01:22It's like some of the best pasta in New York City.
01:24And just look at this 12-hour slow-roasted prime rib grilled to a perfect medium rare, served with rosemary
01:30drippings and garlic butter.
01:31If that wasn't enough, they also have a speakeasy in the back called Lantern's Keep that is a perfect spot
01:36for a delicious cocktail.
01:38They're also serving up some insane food like this prime rib steak sandwich with dipped beef, fontina cheese,
01:43caramelized onions, and mushrooms, and their horseradish cream sauce.
01:47Wow, that is outrageous.
01:50And this besteka burger with an 8-ounce porcini rubbed steak patty, fontina cheese, onions, and garlic aioli.
01:55Look at how juicy that looks.
01:57Stop what you're doing and devour this.
02:01Insane.
02:02And for the finale, their lasagna packed with meatballs, sausage, hot sorpresada, cheese, and ditalini pasta.
