00:06Tornado sirens echoed across Oklahoma on Friday as severe storms rolled through the state tornado surveys coming in one after
00:14the next year.
00:15Yeah, we get a little bit of a break from the severe weather, but hey, it's spring. You know more
00:20is not too far off.
00:22So let's start off what to expect for your Tuesday overall. Yes, you do see thunderstorm icons here. Most of
00:28you, a bright, clear day. West Texas, you're going to have some spotty thunderstorms. Nothing major, but just want to
00:35give you the heads up. Lightning safety or things to keep in mind. You want your AccuWeather app handy with
00:39those push notifications turned on, especially if you're out and about so that you know when lightning is detected near
00:44your location. And then, of course, MinuteCast can help you plan your outings around any scattered thunderstorms that do show
00:51up Wednesday.
00:52Some showers into Louisiana, but otherwise we're dry. We are warm. We are clear. Enjoy it while you can because
00:59things change Thursday. Let's take a look at future radar and clouds first, though. I want to show you exactly
01:03what those scattered thunderstorms do look like, just so you have a little bit clearer of an idea of what's
01:09going on. And isolated downpour or two with some of these, especially into the afternoon. Some of this as we
01:15head into Wednesday, maybe not necessarily reaching the ground with some dry air, but overall, we are looking at not
01:22major impact rain for the next couple of days. Things start to change Thursday. You're starting to see it a
01:27little bit on radar there, but we'll show you more tomorrow once future radar goes a little bit further out
01:32or, you know, time gets closer to Thursday. You know what I mean. It'll show up on future radar better
01:38tomorrow than especially Wednesday. But here's your footprint. Here's who should expect the rain and thunderstorms to return Thursday through
01:45Sunday. Now Thursday, we're not talking about widespread severe weather,
01:49but be prepared for an isolated strong to severe storm here or there. It's really Saturday that we start to
01:56see, you know, areas big enough to highlight for a low and some risk of severe weather. Not much of
02:01a tornado threat that comes Sunday and then even Monday. That's when all types of severe weather are expected. In
02:07addition to the damaging wind, the hail, we also add on that isolated tornado threat. I'll show you a quick,
02:13quick look at Monday just to give you the overall big picture.
