00:00In Brazil, thousands of indigenous people have set up the Free Land 2026 camp to
00:05demand protection of their lands and action on unfulfilled promises. This new
00:09addition brings together more than 6,000 people, including representatives from
00:12around 300 indigenous communities, under the slogan, our future is not for sale, we
00:17are the answer. In this regard, the indigenous group rejects the expansion of
00:21mining in their territories while demanding an increase in number of seats
00:24for the Tocado in the Chamber of Deputies following the general elections for
00:28indigenous parliamentarians. On the other hand, indigenous leaders consider the
00:31legislative, judicial, and executive branches to be a barrier to authorizing
00:35the exploitation of mineral deposits in the subsoil of their traditional
00:39territories.
00:48We will once again threaten our support and advocacy for 2020 seats on indigenous
00:53issues, not demarcation and justice for the lives lost and for the leaders who
00:58have also been persecuted, but above all, we remain firm and strong in the fight.
