00:05With the race for the Brazilian presidency between Lula da Silva and far-right candidate Jair Bolsonaro too close to
00:11call,
00:11both are making a final push to win over borders ahead of the October 23 runoff.
00:15Let's welcome our correspondent Brian Mir in Brazil to learn more details.
00:22I'm on Avenida Paulista in downtown Sao Paulo, where Lula is about to embark on what could be the final
00:30campaign rally of his long political career.
00:34Tomorrow is election day.
00:36At the end of the first round, in which Flavio Bolsonaro won by 1.8%, he was ahead by about
00:436 points.
00:44Bolsonaro's lead has vanished.
00:47The two candidates are now equal in the polls.
00:50Last time Lula came out to the streets of Sao Paulo a few weeks ago, more than 1 million people
00:56turned up to show their support for him.
00:58And it looks like today's rally may be even larger than that one.
01:02Coming off of a triumphant debate last night against Senator Flavio Bolsonaro,
01:08in which Lula was able to insert the class, the class conflict into the middle of the debate,
01:16comparing his work career with the work career of Flavio Bolsonaro.
01:21Now, just as Lula's supporters are very optimistic,
01:25Flavio Bolsonaro's supporters also believe that he's going to win the election tomorrow.
01:31But it's so close right now, we're only going to find out after the polls close and the results should
01:36be with us by the end of tomorrow night.
01:39So all eyes are turned to Brazil right now for its presidential elections, second round 2026.
01:46Brazil decides.
