00:00Here they are again out to a six and two start. You know, that year they had a year ago
00:04during the regular season was probably very disappointing when they got knocked out by the Cubs. You can't get knocked
00:09out by the Cubs if you're the Brewers, right? I mean, here they are again, though, man. That's really a
00:15really good organization, isn't it? And how they've been able to put pieces together there in really almost like the
00:22true form of Moneyball. No, Cap?
00:24Yeah. So you said it off the top or it's not just the organization. It's the fans. It's the environment.
00:30It's the atmosphere. Milwaukee is a baseball place. OK, which, by the way, Dan, I don't know if you know
00:35this. Milwaukee is who drafted me out of high school. I ended up going to tech instead, but they were
00:40the team that drafted me first. So shout out to the Brewers, man. But it's just a great environment. Like
00:46I said, it breeds baseball. And when you're in that environment, you don't got to have the best. You just
00:51that's what's beautiful about baseball.
00:53We all know baseball. The worst pitcher can go out there and beat the best team on any team on
00:57any day or vice versa. And if you have that environment, if you have that just the backing that the
01:05Brewers have, it's hard to have a bad season if you're a Brewer. If you're a Brewer, I mean, you're
01:09going out there with you got the fans, you got the you got the organization behind you. It's just a
01:13good environment. I keep saying that I would love to be there.
01:17How about Gary Templeton told me about that Brewers organization and tell me like back in the day, Walt Jockety,
01:24when he ran the St. Louis Cardinals, he said that every single time you got into a Cardinal organization, the
01:31things you did at a ball, the things you did at double A, the things you did at triple A,
01:36every single thing was the same.
01:38You knew what was expected when you were an A double A and triple A, same when they had the
01:44Cardinals back in the day. So when you got to the bigs, you knew exactly what was expected of you.
01:50Is that the difference between some organizations and some organizations that don't get it? Because, I mean, some guys make
01:57those easy transitions.
01:59Cab, is that kind of what they're doing in Milwaukee right now? Why you're getting such great performances from guys
02:04they bring up?
02:05They do a very good job in their organization, especially in the lower A, which, you know, we all can
02:11talk about double A.
02:12But when we go down to rookie ball in low A, these guys are in the trenches.
02:16I mean, it is tough to be a rookie ball player. It's tough to be a low A ball player.
02:21So when you've got, I guess, you know, a structure that you can stick to, like you're talking about, it
02:28makes all the difference in the world.
02:30These guys are, you get a signing bonus and then you're making no money, right?
02:34And when you're looking at an organization like the Yankees, which we started off the top with, or the Dodgers,
02:39who, you know,
02:40they're willing to go drop a couple extra million dollars instead of producing that player from rookie ball.
02:47Yeah, if I'm a rookie ball player or a low A player, put me in the Brewers organization.
02:51I don't want to be in the Dodgers. I don't want to be in the Yankees. So, absolutely.
02:56Cubs sitting right now at 2-4. Any concerns with them getting out of the gate?
03:03I know I said I raised the concern flag with the Red Sox and the Padres.
03:08I just don't think the Padres have a very good lineup this year. It's falling apart.
03:12But the Cubs, I think the Cubs will be all right. I'm not too concerned right now for the Cubs.
03:17And what are we looking at today? It's, yeah, they got Shota on the mound again today,
03:22and he blew up in his first start. He had seven strikeouts, but he gave up the six hits
03:27and the four runs and the five innings. I think this is a great spot for Shota to get right
03:31here.
03:34And I'll let you take it. Maybe the under. I'll take the under in the Chicago game.
