00:00How about the first place Guardians today taking on the last place Chicago Cubs?
00:04Probably thought that might be an opposite motion here
00:06with the Cubs being the first place in the Guardians.
00:08Not, but again, it is early.
00:09Craig, how about this one?
00:11Degrees at first pitch, about 42 degrees.
00:14How about wind blowing cross from left foul pole to right foul pole?
00:17Close to 20 miles per hour.
00:19Yeah, that sounds like baseball weather today.
00:21If we take a look at the lineups here, starting pitching Cabrera going against Ciccone,
00:24a seven to seven and a half, depending on where you're shopping at,
00:27which means that weather is going to have an impact.
00:29But the favorite here overnight was the Cubs, around a minus 120, Craig.
00:32That's risen up to around a minus 135 plus, depending on where you're shopping at today.
00:36Cubs are the favorite today, not playing great baseball.
00:39Looks like the public's backing them today.
00:41Yeah, Cubs have the better pitcher here to start in Edward Cabrera,
00:44who I got a chance to watch for the majority of his career until this year.
00:49And, you know, this will be one of the more cold weather games
00:52that Cabrera is going to have to be featured in.
00:54I know he doesn't have a ton of experience at this.
00:56A couple of years ago, I think he was very good in Denver.
00:59And a decent cold weather game here.
01:01But look, the story is Cleveland.
01:03The story, Donnie, is Chase DeLauter, who has been as good as any hitter to start the season in the
01:08American League.
01:09And I would guess that he'll try to keep that going today.
01:11But Cabrera dominated his first time out.
01:14We'll see if he has a chance to do it again today in Cleveland.
01:17But once again, we're always sleeping on those Guardians.
01:20And here they are, off to a 5-3 start again.
01:23And if they could just, you know, hang around .500 for the majority of the year,
01:27maybe make some trades at the deadline, still hang around,
01:29you probably could see them in the playoffs again.
01:31I don't have a strong opinion on this game, but it should be a fun one to watch.
01:34By the way, Cabrera on that mound.
01:36You're right, Craig.
01:37Only 19 batters he's faced.
01:38How about an ISO against?
01:39Zero.
01:39How about a weighted on base percentage against?
01:410-83.
01:42And you take a look at that lineup for the Guardians.
01:43Chase DeLauter is really a standout.
01:457-50 ISO and a 6-18 weighted on base percentage against right-handed pitching early in the season.
01:50Gabriel Reyes also has some decent numbers,
01:52but the rest of that lineup has really struggled against right-handed pitching.
01:55If we flip it over and take a look at Ciccone on the mound,
01:58the complete opposite, Craig.
02:0024 batters he's faced.
02:01How about a .263 ISO against?
02:03And a .451 weighted on base percentage.
02:05Now, granted, cold weather temperatures here.
02:07They're going to be playing with.
02:08Windy conditions.
02:09Pop flies should be fun.
02:10We look at Ian Happ in the middle of that lineup here.
02:12A .375 ISO and a .330 weighted on base percentage to start the season.
02:17Maybe a chance for a home run prop, Craig.
02:19He's checking in there around a plus.
02:21Let me see if we got any latest here.
02:22Plus .350, plus .360, as high as plus .400 here for a home run prop.
02:26Cold conditions, Craig, hard to back some of these batters at this point, though.
02:31Yeah, I mean, Ciccone not going to be Cleveland's best starter this season.
02:34We know that, so that's why the Cubs have the advantage.
02:36But, you know, sometimes you've got to ride the hot hand.
02:38Cleveland has been the better team and the hotter team,
02:40which is why, for me, it's kind of a pass.
