03:07same you've put together a very compelling case I do get it but even with your knowledge it can be
03:12implemented with me being project manager that's just my opinion and I know it's hard for me because
03:17I'm very passionate about this to make this fair then as Pasha it hasn't been PM I think this will
03:24be a good opportunity for her to learn from you and I'm so so keen to be project manager if

03:30happy with that as long as we win I actually rely on everyone's experience and expertise to share
03:37knowledge and that's what it's all about as well absolutely Krishna clearly has experience in this
03:43field however Lawrence and Priya she was swayed by the fact that Pasha hasn't been project manager and
03:48would like to give it a go I mean frankly that's really not a good enough reason they should have
03:53gone with the more experienced person I'm excited across the hall who shall I be handing the crown to

04:07live stream and obviously in the selling in the market I did quite I would also like to put myself
04:12forward I sell for a living I've proved myself selling in this process but ultimately this is
04:17also about the products we select we have to keep in mind who's watching the show however it does come
04:22down to sales techniques tactics over almost 10 years experience in selling live selling at all or I
04:29I do a lot of video I have I have done social media live streaming for all right shall we

05:32relatability drawing an anecdote it's like you know my grandma has arthritis and this really helped her
05:37with this or whatever variety is it for men is it for women who is it for and finally E
05:42energy and
05:42excitement the more excited you are about a product you know I have this and it's great and
05:46you know I would recommend this to my mom blah blah blah Pasha was given a very brief and broad
05:53strategy but what I gave them was specifics you can BPM just to take it off the box but this
05:59is my
06:00task so think strategically think strategically so yeah okay but yeah I mean thank you for that
06:05kushma that's great yeah very and really get that in I do think home where balance is out with fitness
06:13as well so we have fitness and homework so you're going into two different lifestyles stepping through

07:02if you think the lowest price item you can sell them yeah lowest profit if the highest item isn't
07:07that expensive you guys and together will be able to deduce what is the best thing to sell

07:19mentioned I wrote down mid-range however I do feel a little bit nervous picking an item that Connor may
07:24not be happy with but ultimately it wasn't the clearest of briefs because we don't know the prices
07:28what we'll do myself and down look at the selection that we have there look at the cheaper site and
07:32higher site and then just ideally pick the one in the middle yeah yeah Christian obviously you're
07:38very good at jewelry and you understand that so I would love you to sub team lead on that side
07:42and I
07:43would like Lawrence to join you on that would you want to go on the high-end side or would
07:47you want
07:47to go somewhere more affordable so we sell more volume affordable make that your keyword

12:48achieve lower cost items which hopefully we can sell out potentially project manager pasha
12:53a table tennis set with retractable nets the lowest price is 7.99 so this ticks the box for the

13:01cost item okay water flosser not gonna lie i have one of these at home yeah oh okay you can

13:09powerful that comes out the lowest price is 19.99 i mean obviously it does hit what i said in

34:37i'm a little bit nervous today because obviously didn't sell any of my deal of the day pieces
34:41so a little bit upset and scared to what's going to happen in the boardroom today
34:47i brought corner back to the boardroom last week he's definitely going to bring me back if we lose
34:52it's game on i'm ready for a war i feel like i'm walking into a lion's den with nothing to
34:57defend
34:57myself with it is a live tv selling challenge i'm not sure if i sold anything so that leaves me
35:02in a
35:02pretty vulnerable position you can go through to the boardroom now
35:23so tv shopping um team alpha i believe that karishma you
35:34wanted to be the project manager is that right yes lord sugar but then again pasha you haven't
35:39been a project manager have you you kind of like ducked it um i was waiting for the right task
35:45i
35:45haven't got experience live selling however i do have a big following on tiktok and i do have a social
35:51media present so you know i just felt like my skills and abilities would be best for this this sort
35:57of
35:58task so pasha's passion versus karishma's charisma yeah and i think we worked really well together
36:06okay so product selection the structure that i went in with is i want a high cost item
36:11and a low cost item if we can sell just a few of the high cost items potentially that could
36:16be
36:16the reason that we win the task so what you ended up with was the headphones the water flosser
36:23um and table tennis yeah so where was your luck um karishma while this all this was going on so
36:30lawrence and i spoke with the jewelry expert we were also joined with rothner and dan
36:34um we kind of were competing to get the product we wanted and we expressed our interest in the
36:40mid-range item you mean the ring the ring the tanzanite ring i was watching you uh selling that stuff
36:46apparently there was 11 in stock or something like that is that right yeah yeah um there still
36:54is 11 in stock there is at the moment yeah because i'm afraid you didn't succeed and then one of
36:59the
37:00reasons i think you didn't succeed was because in my opinion you missed out the point of who you were
37:06selling to it should be love it should be about you know a gift for somebody instead you start giving
37:13a man a geographic um description of where it comes from who gives a about that not exactly lord
37:22of the rings there my friend not quite no i mean in fairness krishman knew a lot about the rings
37:28and
37:29i think there was a bit of scarcity because um it only comes from a very small area hmm anyway

37:35the first people on your team was you and you with the headphones right correct okay and in the gallery
37:42was them two correct yeah yeah and silence i heard you sat there doing nothing for a while
37:51karishma you were close to mike do you do you agree with that um so we were
37:56was you getting much feedback initially um initially to be honest my earpiece was cutting
38:02out every it wasn't cutting out they weren't talking okay well i mean my noise cancelling headphones it
38:09sounded like you must have had noise cancelling microphones in there anyway then we come on to
38:15the flosser yeah i was very confident selling it just because i have it at home and i did want

38:21have food there as well which unfortunately i saw that you had some spinach you stick some in your mouth
38:28right and then you get the machine blow on it and then you take it out your mouth with your
38:33fingers again
38:34yeah it was very very very good yeah the water power coming out it was powerful i could use it

38:40clean my car yeah and then there's the ping pong i like that ping pong thing i was thinking of

38:47it up in here for me and uh you sold 28 of those actually yeah anyway there we are so

38:58now connor you ended up with what i will call the core machine uh yoga mat correct boring uh and

39:08shoe dryer unusual item right um so you start off um connor with the um the core circus it looked

39:17you're having an argument with an ironing board actually yeah yeah i definitely um look i came in with
39:23high energy and passion and i was hoping to shift that by using my energy then you then you call
39:27upon
39:28dan he comes in done a few bits and pieces and then went off we were we were we were
39:35doing a couple
39:36to work out at one stage i was doing pilates and dan was doing some core exercises so yeah i
39:40do i do
39:40think it was sellable i just probably didn't do myself justice moving on from there then so you
39:47had the um bracelet you look like you're putting on handcuffs at one stage a lot you lost the key
39:55uh you're fumbling around dan did very well also in terms of his engaging with the customers and
40:01saying their names actually saying which was the key yeah when you that was it was quite clever that
40:05when we said thank you for the order and all that oh they got some orders did they oh yeah
40:09they got
40:10some orders for it um i was extremely proud of dan for putting himself out of his comfort zone
40:14almost and really applying himself he exceeded probably all of our expectations oh there you go
40:20compliments there dad that's very kind compliments all right um moving on we've got uh kieran on the uh
40:28yoga mat yoga mat and that i mean i've got to tell you that was painful my friend painful did
40:35you say
40:35i'll i'll do that one i said i i i would do that one um but i also offered to
40:42take a high-end
40:43like a thick doormat to me it's yeah as yoga mats go it wasn't bad yeah can i just add
40:50lord sugar i
40:51expected that the boys would probably pick an item that they were personally really confident selling
40:55kieran's great at selling so i was pretty shocked that he was just going to be selling the mats but
40:59then he was confident he could sell them in large quantity okay well moving on we went to the most
41:06unusual item the shoe dryer uh which levi uh took the role that's right lord sugar yeah that's correct
41:14i mean it's an unusual item in fact i bought one for my wife for christmas so she's going to
41:20be
41:20delighted when she opens it up so she's going to throw that straight back at you yeah i mean you're
41:28putting shoes on the wrong way around pouring water in trainers um to be fair lord sugar and then um
41:35butch cassidy here comes running in at the end uh to help you out you know it were quite hard
41:42to
41:42get me bearings to be fair lord sugar it were um in gallery sounded like somebody ate the microphone
41:48and uh people just shouting and then yeah it was hard to concentrate try and get a point across
41:54whilst getting loading the ear hmm right okay well um it's that time now let's have a look and see
42:05how we did shall we so um thing you should know about tv selling is that you may have expectations
42:16of what you think you sold but as you know people change their minds right so i've now got the
42:24real
42:24confirmed figures from the shopping channel so tim can you tell me the final results of your team
42:33well you mentioned a number of sales have been made but unfortunately not all of those sales went
42:37through including the one high priced item of the core crusher that was almost sold but somebody pulled
42:44out but they still managed to sell 18 products giving them a total sales on the day of 773 pounds
42:52and 82
42:53vents well done everyone right okay good karen same question how did your team get on well unfortunately
43:00not all of their sales went through either um including one of the high priced headphones
43:08and their highest priced item alan the ring you know they they didn't sell any of those at all
43:15um but they did still manage to sell 40 items across the hour totaling 893 pounds and 60 pence
43:25right well done team alpha your first time as a project manager and you pulled it through
43:33yeah okay make your way back to the house i'll see you on the next house okay

44:35one of the things that i did say in strategy is like bringing high energy was great but i think
44:39ultimately what you two failed to do was to harness it in the correct way we sold me
44:44yeah and i accept i didn't you guys only sold two units each i had a roll up bit of
44:47phone mate
44:48connor sold nothing kieran didn't sell a lot and he's supposed to be an amazing salesperson and quite
44:52frankly i don't really know what levi is good at other than being a great guy the one person i
44:56was
44:56disappointed in kieran is you i have to say i've worked with you and i thought you were great but
45:00when you're presenting i honestly thought you you'd do a bit better just because we found the task for lack
45:04of instruction and no sales kieran loves to deflect and he loves to say he can't do something at the
45:08last
45:08moment he said he'd take a high ticket item just as we were heading out the door as he sounded
45:12enthusiastic about the yoga mat i gave it to him then he said maybe not i can't do yoga the
45:16reality
45:16is is that we didn't make enough sales it's down to selling i mean myself and rothner sold the most
45:20and i know it wasn't loads but we sold high ticketed items and sold multiple of them i would have
45:25thought
45:25with lower ticketed items we could have sold a few more the failure in this task lies with project
45:29manager connor and kieran the polar opposites they don't work well together in it and it showed in this task
45:47yes would you send the candidates in please
46:01well uh you lot lost by 120 pounds which
46:09it's not a lot of money now alpha sold 40 products
46:14and you sold 18 only so connor the core machine that you demonstrated the last time the professional
46:24presenter did it they sold 55 yeah so so my plan with the core circuit yoga was two two target
46:31audience the older or maybe new to fitness and then the more experienced user of fitness like myself
46:36i demonstrated as someone who's maybe avid in fitness and wants to use it to enhance their workouts
46:40maybe after a cardio session i think it implied you had to be very fit to use it yeah um
46:45anybody
46:46i'm not surprised you were sweating because you hadn't sold any yeah definitely i did give it my
46:51all it did give my energy and i hold my hands up i'm disappointed as pm that i didn't sell
46:55one item
46:55i mean dan walking in it looked like you called in a bloke from from it you know now then

47:02um rothner and dan the bracelets um you only sold three they usually sell 21 in that slot i am
47:14disappointed that we only ended up selling three of them i did really believe in the product and
47:17i hoped it come across if you'd have got the ring and sold three of them yeah like you sold

47:23the bracelets you would have won so we didn't why didn't you get the ring we we thought maybe connor

47:27find the ring a bit too expensive he was quite clear about asking for a mid-range item but maybe
47:32he did when we know when i asked for numbers in the brainstorm he didn't give any numbers so mid

47:36my mid-range could be very different to your mid-range your role was to pick deal of the day
47:40so what
47:41what she's trying to say is that it was left to our own devices to pick what we thought was
47:45the most
47:45sensible item that we could sell on tv but that's what that's why you replaced and you picked the cheapest
47:51yeah um now moving on the yoga mat this company has sold 390 in the last session you sold six
48:02and you say you are a um super salesman exactly i'm a salesman yeah absolutely um we didn't sell many
48:10did you so i did offer to swap the high-end item i was told no were you not extremely
48:15enthusiastic about
48:16the yoga mat i said i could take so i wasn't mate i've done the set ups i've done a
48:20few press ups
48:20exactly i was leave i come in to perform on the mat right at the end you should have sent
48:25him in
48:25earlier it were a bit painful to watch so i looked at galleries you were painful to watch my friend
48:31you were really painful to watch all the way around including the shoe dryer thing i mean what a
48:36bloody product that is and you know what they usually sell 300 in a session 300 i've never heard of
48:43and you sold three i did try to explain about the shoe drying properties but when i had somebody
48:48like team shouting in my ears i had kieran walking towards me they were very distracted for me well
48:55one of the comments from a viewer was that this is a joke i'm flabbergasted i can't watch it anymore
49:00they tuned out right and i have to say i was flabbergasted also i think it was diabolical
49:06i do believe that um on reflection it is um
49:14it's actually time i've i've won most at task lord sugar well no you didn't win them you didn't
49:19win them you didn't you was on winning teams so so you know what um levi um it is with

50:33on this particular task it was the worst tv selling i've ever seen in this whole process the
50:39worst painful anyway kieran i mean he's a chirpy chappy he chirped a lot but he didn't make the sales
50:46the important thing on this task was to convert the products to something that the audience wanted
50:51and unfortunately he made such a hash of that mat nobody bought anywhere near the numbers that you
50:57said you got from the channel themselves then the man obviously they sold three bracelets had they
51:03instead of chosen the ring and sold three rings they would have won i mean he was with rothner when
51:09they
51:09picked it maybe they didn't engage the buyers as well as they could have um connor well connor's a great
51:15talker he emphasized his ability in front of the camera but he wasn't that good behind the camera
51:21unfortunately a lot of this does rest on his shoulders
51:26could you stand the three of them in please
51:38so on this task connor you were the project manager you've been a project manager twice right and
51:47regretfully you lost twice why have you brought these two back in then um when i made my selection i
51:54reviewed
51:55the entire process that we've made it here um when it comes to kieran in fairness to kieran kieran has
52:00grabbed the bull by the horns and he's really applied himself but at times he's been called difficult to
52:05work with and disruptive so in terms of looking for your next apprentice i just don't know if he
52:08would be the correct candidate everyone works with people different correct yeah and that's that's not
52:13my decision to make but that's just my perspective when it came to dan dan was slow to get into
52:18the process
52:19and maybe didn't apply himself every week to the extent that me personally has well i mean this was
52:23a selling task um myself i sold 300 pounds worth of stuff they sold 60 pounds between both and i
52:29think
52:29throughout the whole of this process i know it took me a little while to settle into it but this
52:33has been
52:33a big learning curve for myself i've developed a lot of skills i've learned how to work with people but
52:37i wouldn't necessarily usually work with and i think i've really grown in this process in terms of
52:40becoming a better business business person for yourself lord sugar hmm kieran super salesman sold
52:46six been on the losing side five times yes lord sugar i've put myself forward for a lot of things
52:56i haven't shied away and i've given everything my all some it's the team effort not just an individual
53:01effort so where i might have small wins the team may not always win right well here we have a
53:08dilemma
53:09really i have to make a decision lord sugar if i may yes i've been project manager twice on the
53:16same task and you won once by a deep arguably a one a win yeah yeah if i stay in
53:24this process i would
53:25like to be the project manager on task 10 to prove to you what i can do if i lose
53:30we shake hands i walk
53:31out all right that's very interesting anybody else want to make that offer uh i don't feel the need
53:38to you can i can if i want to i felt that i over the last eight tasks i don't
53:43need another task to
53:44prove myself i have given myself one you lost you know you've lost five a bit in the losing team

53:50times correct and every time within those tasks the project manager has usually always had a very
53:54specific role that they've wanted me to excel in and at numerous times within this process i have
53:58excelled i don't need a tenth task to beg you to to take me you don't i don't i don't
54:04think i do
54:05what about you dan i feel like over the past nine tasks i've really kind of proven myself in many
54:10different ways um i i do believe that ultimately you've got to decide who you want to go into
54:16business with i know that i've only ever worked for myself i'm an entrepreneur through and through
54:19that's all i know and the industry that i'm in i know it so well so it's whether you think
54:23there's
54:24great potential with my business that i've got and if it's something you want to join me on the journey
54:27with hmm i have observed you over the past nine weeks um dan
