00:00But doesn't President Trump have a bit of serious explaining to do here, not least to his support
00:04base, because he campaigned on this platform of no more wars, bringing down inflation,
00:09talking about kitchen table issues, notably the cost of living. And now you're talking about
00:14Americans having to go on a spring break that's going to be a much more expensive spring break
00:18than it would have been had petrol prices not been at $4 a gallon or more. I mean,
00:23hasn't he let them down? Well, President Trump never, in my view at least, promised that there
00:29wouldn't be any new wars, just be no new forever wars. And so I don't think that this is something
00:34that President Trump views, as we saw last night's address, as a long term engagement in Iran. I think
00:40just like he did in Venezuela, and just like he's been doing in Iran, having this be a targeted
00:45approach, targeted strikes, that's the key here. And it's not putting the US in a situation here
00:50it's gonna be a multi-year conflict or a multi-year war. So that in itself is going to have
00:55a huge
00:56impact, frankly, on what happens here in terms of the economy as it relates to gas prices. But look,
01:01I think President Trump has a strong track record right now when it comes to getting these gas prices
01:06lower. I mean, look, under President Biden, you had gas prices north of $5 per gallon. We're seeing
01:12those lower today under President Trump. But you know, the truth is, American people do want to see
01:16those prices come down. They want to see the stock market strong. I think you are going to see
01:21movement there. I think it's just gonna take a little bit of time here, frankly. But look,
01:25we are in an election cycle. What matters most to Americans right now with these upcoming midterm
01:29elections, no question, will be prices such as at the pump. It's important for those prices to come
01:34down. I think they will. That's going to matter politically, of course, for President Trump
01:38and for Republicans heading into November of this year.
