00:00Yeah, I mean, but for an American voter who voted for President Trump, I mean, I'd like to get your
00:05sense of what the polls are saying as well, if you have any info on that front.
00:08But for a voter who voted for President Trump, you know, they wanted inflation to be tackled.
00:15And President Trump made that other key pledge of not starting any wars in faraway places.
00:20Quite the opposite. He pledged to end wars that had already been started, not start new ones.
00:25I mean, hasn't he broken two really major promises to people who voted down?
00:29I mean, it's interesting, Tom, because it's counterintuitive.
00:33If you'd asked me a month ago, I would have said, yes, the president, you know, is an anti-war
00:38president.
00:38He surely doesn't want to start a war.
00:40And I think that would have been unfavorable with the voters, especially the MAGA wing of the Republican Party.
00:47And yet it's the opposite has happened.
00:49I mean, the president's actions are polling around 80 with Republicans, but with MAGA Republicans, it's at 90 or 95.
00:58And then with the more traditional Republicans, let's just call it the Republicans X, the MAGA crowd, it's only in
01:06the 50s.
01:06So remarkably, in spite of the fact that he ran and much of the MAGA support was because he was
01:14running against forever wars,
01:17that you'd expect it to be the opposite, but it's not.
01:21So it's still polling horribly with Democrats, of course, because anything the president does is going to poll horribly with
01:27Democrats.
01:27And so, but the Republicans are still behind this.
01:31It's only some of the, you know, kind of well-known MAGA spokespeople or, you know, journalists that, you know,
01:38Tucker Carlson is the most obvious.
01:39But there are some MAGA types that are well-known celebrity types or social media types that are critical of
01:50it.
01:50But that's a very small number.
01:51And for the most part, it's still popular within the party.
01:54I think one of the reasons is they look at this, you know, you talked about starting wars.
01:58In many ways, this wasn't starting a war.
02:01It was an attempt to end a war.
02:03The regime has been at war with the U.S. for 47 years.
02:06They've been killing Americans for most of that time.
02:09And so I think it's important that, you know, we end that capability because I think after 47 years, the
02:17president wants to end another war.
