00:00Hey y'all, I'm Dan. And I'm Shay. This is the Odyssey world premiere of our brand new song,
00:04Say So. Hope you love it. The process of writing this song was amazing. We were writing with our
00:10good friends, Jimmy Robbins and David Hodges, and it started with just a conversation about
00:14our friend, Ben. We've all had stories like this of someone who has battled mental health. We have
00:20battled mental health and so had our co-writers and just talking about that and knowing that
00:25we're not alone in that. And this song really just fell out. And I felt like that song was
00:29meant to be written that day. And I know that it's going to help a lot of people because it
00:33started with helping us just starting those conversations. And I hope that this song
00:38encourages people to do that and knowing that there's always somebody at the other end of the
00:41line. We felt like we kind of had no choice but to make Say So the first single of this
00:46project.
00:46It was a message that we needed to get off of our hearts and that we needed to get out
00:50into the
00:50world. This message has helped us. Just writing this song, listening back to it, working on it
00:56has helped us. It kind of breaks down the fourth wall of letting fans know that like,
01:00hey, you're not alone in your struggles. No matter what you're going through, there's
01:02always somebody there on the other end of the line. I feel like there's a lot of optimism
01:06and hope in this song. It's just a message of encouragement to anybody going through a tough
01:10time. And to be able to put a song like this this far into our career and have people support
01:15it and get behind it and want to back it for us is a dream come true. So I honestly
01:19think
01:20this song, no matter what it does on the charts, fingers crossed, we want it to go number one.
01:23So y'all call and request a song and listen to the heck out of it. But if it helps
01:28one
01:28person, if it saves one life, it was worth it to us.
01:31If there's one thing that we want our fans to take away from the song Say So is a message
01:35of hope. You know, obviously it's a very heavy topic, but overall, this is a message to hope
01:40saying that there's always somebody there at the end of the line and making sure that you
01:44check on your friends and make sure you're having those conversations. And we really hope
01:48that that really opens up that world to make people know that it's okay to talk about
01:53these kinds of things, even though they're heavier topics. It's an important thing to
01:56tackle and we're proud to be able to do that in the song.
