00:22:14more all right so when we were putting together this season we had one goal we wanted to do our

00:22:25make it memorable and in order for something to be memorable it's got to be rare that's what makes
00:22:30it special so we did a couple things we've never done before 24 players most ever we also turned the
00:22:35entire show over to the fans they voted for the type of game they wanted you to play and when
00:22:42it came to
00:22:42twist 63 percent said I love twist bring them on so today a twist for the fans a twist so
00:22:55memorable so rare it will
00:22:58cause the entire survivor world to pause and take notice because it's never happened before oh my gosh we
00:23:06thought this twist could use a metaphor something to give it a little shape a little form so we started
00:23:10by asking ourselves well what is it about the survivor experience that makes it unique in the
00:23:13first place and that is while playing this game you live in nature you deal with it every day the
00:23:19rain
00:23:19the ocean the blazing Sun and then it dawned on us nature itself offers a perfect metaphor for what's
00:23:27going to happen today because every so often in nature an event happens it is so memorable and so rare
00:23:32the entire world pauses to take notice that is a total lunar eclipse that is when the earth's shadow
00:23:42covers the moon and turns it a deep foreboding red and we call it a blood moon ancient civilizations
00:23:52feared a blood moon they saw it as a warning a sign of upheaval even impending doom
00:24:01and that's how you should see it as well because tonight survivor will have its own version of a blood
00:24:09moon
00:24:09and just like in nature it will cast a shadow over the entire survivor game
00:24:16and it will never be the same again because tonight not one not two
00:24:24but three players will have their torches snuffed wow the most ever in a single night

00:24:47for today's challenge you're going to use your hands and arms to brace against two walls while
00:24:51your feet balance on very narrow footholds regular intervals we will move farther down to a more
00:24:57narrow foothold making it more difficult if you drop you're out
00:25:04and just to make it a little more dangerous we're going to randomly divide you into three groups of
00:25:11five the person who lasts the longest with each group earns individual immunity this is the immunity
00:25:19necklace for survivor 50. wow fans voted on this as well 84 percent wanted this and it's a beauty
00:25:27tonight three players will look very good wow with this around their neck because all three groups are
00:25:35going to tribal council to vote out the eighth ninth and tenth players from this game
00:25:44there is a silver lining to today
00:25:46and that is you're playing for reward you want to know what you're playing for yeah yeah the person who
00:25:53lasts the longest earns for themselves and their group the biggest reward of the season applebee's

00:47:33gonna be my little puppies tonight how long you've been there with your foot was incredible
00:47:38how did that happen again i was in that challenge on day nine when we were pushing the boats up

01:07:30Yeah, I think the people are everything in the group,
01:07:34and so what's going to be most impactful
01:07:37is what color rock did you draw,
01:07:39and did your friends draw the same color that you did?

01:07:44that sometimes it's just the timing and survivor luck
01:07:48and that can be the end of your game?
01:07:51Yeah, I think survivor is a lot about luck,
01:07:54but you earn it, and I think part of earning it
01:07:56is making sure that you have friends
01:07:59and making sure that you are receptive to people
01:08:01and that you don't close any doors.

01:08:06is that more than anything in the game of survivor,
01:08:10it is about relationships.

01:08:44and there's so much emotion in the game.

01:08:52so we can all try to make the best decision.

01:19:08and, again, I met people in this experience
01:19:12that I know I'm going to be friends for life with.
