00:00Crimson Desert might be one of the most overstimulating games I've ever played, and I'm going to
00:05make it my mission to convince you that this is, despite everything, a compliment of the
00:10highest order.
00:11In case you're unfamiliar, Crimson Desert is the first proper attempt at a single player
00:16game by Black Desert Online developers Pearl Abyss.
00:19It's an action romp with some light RPG elements, think on the level of the recent Legend of
00:24Zelda games, plus a skill tree.
00:25It follows Cliff, a former Greymane, as he seeks out his past battle brothers and gets
00:29pulled into, what I can only assume based on the exposition I've been privy to, a reality-threatening
00:35plot.
00:35I've recently played about six hours of the game, however, and I can tell you for a fact
00:39that the description I just told you doesn't do this justice.
00:44Crimson Desert is a delightfully absurd, high-fantasy rampage with absolutely zero restraint.
00:50It is unrepentantly and completely dedicated to the rule of ghoul.
