00:00It's just a rock and roll machine and I really love the fun red finish. I think it's quite rare
00:05for a Gibson.
00:06I think it's called the Marachino Cherry. Hey, it's Laura Cox and today I wanted to introduce you to my
00:12Gibson Les Paul Jr.
00:13Billy Joe Armstrong signature. I think it's a model, a limited edition from 2018.
00:19I bought it used two years ago and since then it's been one of my main guitars for the stage.
00:25I really love it. It's perfect for the stage. It's quite light compared to other Les Pauls.
00:32It has a really thin neck. I love the setup. It's really a simple setup. You have one pickup, two
00:39knobs.
00:39So it's just a rock and roll machine and I really love the fun red finish. I think it's quite
00:44rare for a Gibson.
00:45I think it's called the Marachino Cherry. And yes, I stumbled upon this guitar because I've always been a fan
00:53of Les Pauls.
00:54But I wanted a model that was less traditional and I stumbled upon this one and I completely fell in
01:02love.
01:02So it's like a boosted junior. It doesn't have a P90 like the usual junior type and it has a
01:09humbucker.
01:10It's a classic 57 pickup instead of the P90 and I think it suits more my style.
01:17So that's why I chose this guitar. It was even more original than a Les Paul Jr.
01:22And right now it's quite clean but sometimes if you focus you can see a bit of blood here when
01:28I strum too hard with my fingers.
01:30And yeah, I've been using this guitar a lot for the stage. I used it on the cover of my
01:35new album Trouble Coming and I know I'm going to use it on the next tour too.
01:39Let's see.
01:40Let's see.
