00:00And according to a report in the Financial Times, Trump says he wants Iran's oil and could seize
00:06Karg Island, which we've heard before. How risky could this military operation prove to be for US
00:12forces who are now said to be in the region and forces who could be sent here? Well, I mean,
00:19he has wanted to do that for a long time. There's a viral video going around of him talking about
00:24taking Karg Island, taking the coast of Iran for its oil as far back as 1987. So this has long
00:31been
00:31in Trump's mind. In terms of how risky it is, I think very is the answer. There's great concerns
00:38among military analysts that the troops that are deployed there could essentially be in a fishbowl
00:43to be shot at by Iranians. And of course, the Iranians have had a long time to prepare for this.
00:50The terrain is in their advantage. It's a mountainous terrain, which similar to Afghanistan
00:54makes it very, very difficult to seize land. I mean, Karg Island is one thing.
01:01Moving onto the coast would be another thing entirely. I think the answer is it's extremely
01:07risky. If it's going to be some sort of uranium seizing mission, going to the nuclear sites and
01:13taking out the uranium, that is also extremely risky. But at least I suppose that would be
01:19get in there, get out as quickly as you can. If it's about occupying areas so as to control
01:24the flow of oil, that's a more long term gambit. And that would mean longer risks as well as greater
01:32risks.
