A 30-year-old local man was arrested after ramming five vehicles while trying to evade police at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Monday (March 31).

00:02A 30-year-old local man was arrested after ramming five vehicles
00:06while trying to evade police at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, KLIA, on Monday.
00:15KLIAOCPD Assistant Commissioner Ravi Munusami said the incident occurred at about 4.30pm
00:21when a police mobile patrol unit conducting crime prevention rounds in the area
00:26attempted to stop a car for inspection.
00:28The driver refused to comply with police instructions
00:31and sped off towards the Level 3 terminal route,
00:35ramming multiple vehicles in a bid to escape before being apprehended nearby.
00:40Checks showed the suspect has 31 prior criminal records
00:43and one outstanding drug-related offence.
00:46The case is being investigated under Sections 1, 8, 6 and 4, 2, 7 of the Penal Code,
00:52Section 15, Subsection 1 of the Dangerous Drugs Act,
00:56as well as several traffic-related offences.
01:00The suspect is expected to be brought before the Sepang Magistrate's Court on Tuesday
01:04for a remand application.
