Plans have been submitted to turn an industrial unit into a padel sports venue. The development could bring new jobs if approved.

00:01A new racket sports centre could be created in South Leeds if plans for a paddle facility
00:06are approved. Permission has been sought to convert an industrial unit on Millshaw Park
00:12Lane in Beeston into a venue with 13 indoor courts, along with coaching facilities and
00:17equipment hire. The operator already runs a similar site in Seacroft. Plans say the centre
00:23would open from early morning until midnight. Documents also state the development could
00:27create between 15 and 20 jobs across a range of roles if the application is approved
00:33following a consultation. Leeds City Council will consider the proposal in due course,
00:39with the consultation running through to 13 April.
