01:08My father came to live with me. So coming back to Kelowna, this is where he came camping. This is

01:15So I'm just trying to give him, as he ages out, his place to just feel comfortable.
01:19I really wanted to help Sylvia with her decision. I know about property because I've been buying property since I
01:26was really little. So I just wanted to make sure she was well taken care of.
01:34Number one has to be light and airy. I lived on the coast. It's too dark for my dad. It
01:39needs to have water, toilets and a workspace. And I want to keep that away from the rest of the
01:44house.
01:44Coming out to the Okanagan, I've got to have outdoor space. I'm a Dutchie. I've got two green thumbs at
01:51times. I'm mostly black, really. But yeah. So gardening is definitely, that's my stress release. I'd like to stay under
02:01the 1.5. I got to start up my business again. So I'd like to have a little bit kept
02:07aside to do the startup.

12:24When you exit your car, it's a lot like stepping through the wardrobe at Narnia.
12:29It really is incredible.
12:31I mean, I don't want to leave, but if I had to, it's only 20 minutes back to the hotel.

12:37I mean, obviously it's a distillery, but what are your specialties?
12:40Currently we're making vodka, gin, and limoncello.
12:42And we will be making a whiskey.
12:44It's in barrel and it's going to be there for three years.
12:47I mean, just the woodwork alone is spectacular.
12:51And the drive in.
12:51Now, so you started off in the wine business.
12:54Now we're over into the distilling business.

12:57And which one do you like more?
13:00Oh, that's a tough one.
13:01I really love them both for the different reasons, but I must admit there is something exceptional
13:06about the distilling process.
13:08It's up to us on the flavor profiles.
13:10You're not relying on the grapes or the fruit to make the flavors of your spirit.
13:15You can actually bring forth whatever flavors you want.
13:18Obviously you have to wait a little longer for the whiskey, which I'm getting used to.

13:39Honestly, we have lived in the Okanagan for almost 13 years now.

13:43And it was away from the hustle and bustle.
13:45It's still a big enough city that you're not feeling completely separated from the world
13:49and you get the beautiful summers.
13:52The winters are not that aggressive from what we've experienced.
13:55I couldn't agree more.
13:56And I mean, walking around the property on a sunny day is gorgeous, but just thinking
13:59about it covered in snow, come inside, warm up.
