01:07So currently we live in Richmond Hill.
01:10I have two kids and two dogs.
01:13I'm going to do my best to help Karen with the transition between moving from city life to country life.
01:20There is a lot of little nuances about living in the country, but she can do it and she's going

01:27So Jen is certainly someone that has introduced me to the Sunderland area.
01:32My dad lives in BC right now, but he's getting older.
01:36It would be nice if we could find a place that had a separate living area for him.

01:45Having horses on the property would be a dream come true.

01:49My late husband and I, when we retired, we were going to move to the country.
01:54Unfortunately, he passed away during the pandemic.
01:57And so I realized that tomorrow was not guaranteed.

09:01Well, definitely we're still fighting the rain, but that's okay because we're now on this beautiful porch.

09:12Like there's nothing more relaxing and romantic than sitting on a porch in the rain.

14:38Tell me a little bit about how you acquired this business.
14:41So I've worked here for probably almost 20 years.
14:45And I had the opportunity about two and a half years ago to take over.
14:49So you have seen a lot of changes here.
14:51I can only imagine how much things have really grown.
14:56Port Perry is a great town.
14:59Yeah.
14:59There's a sense of community in a small town.
15:02It definitely feels like that.
15:02Our town hall is just across the street here from us.
15:05So there's always plays, musicals.
15:08This building.
15:09I heard a rumor that it's haunted.
15:10Is that true?
15:11I think so.

15:14Early 1900s, there was a structure before this that burnt to the ground.
15:19This was built on a foundation of a previous structure.
15:22And so that's sort of the story.

15:32And again, that's like part of the cool factor that comes with being in these charming older towns.
