00:52Kevin Moran's with a terrific start.
00:56He's teammate Grant Harlan a little further back with a lot of work to do.
01:00Justin Vogel a little further back in about sixth or seventh at the moment.
01:04Marchbanks with work to do as well.
01:06Yeah, they both do.
01:07But, man, we talk about these first-lap averages for guys like Hunter Lawrence, Cole Davies, Deegan's of the world.
01:15I bet Kevin Moran's has the top position as far as first laps led and last chance qualifiers.
01:22This guy is always up front and executing the starts perfectly.
01:30He's racked a few of them up.
01:31This is his 63rd.
01:33JT, this is Kevin's 63rd last chance qualifier.
01:37And he has a better than 50% conversion rate to the main.
01:41Well, you don't get a nickname like main event Moran's without putting him to main event.
01:45That's what he's on his way to doing here.
01:46Ricky, your point about the starts, he is such a proficient starter to the point where some of the sports
01:52elite,
01:52some of the factory guys that are in contention to win races,
01:55they take a deep breath and sigh when he pulls up next to them
01:58because they know it's going to be a battle to beat him off the gate.
02:02So it puts him in great position.
02:04He's on his way again.
02:09Let's show you that Garrett Marchbanks start.
02:13You may remember we said he got boxed in.
02:16Watch the rider on the 36.
02:18Watch what happens right here when he tangles up with Vogel, gets sideways.
02:24And that was a really good save by Marchbanks.
02:28He saved his chance of getting to the last chance qualifier.
02:32And he had Riggs on the other side and they were kind of locking elbows.
02:35They were bouncing off each other, Will.
02:37And not making his life easy there at all, guys.
02:40And I spoke to him about 10 minutes ago as he was kind of bringing his bike out
02:44and heading down here to get ready for this LCQ.
02:46Asking me if it was all right, he explained to me that he basically had a double charley horse.
02:50So he kind of struck both legs there and he said it was painful to walk.
02:54I said, how does it feel on the bike?
02:56He's like, well, we're about to find out.
02:57So he might be struggling with that as the night goes on.
03:00He's had a tough start.
03:03He got injured early on in the season.
03:05And I just feel like he hasn't been able to get momentum going.
03:10He's had a couple decent finishes.
03:12Certainly not what he's capable of doing.
03:16And again, that's just the difference in this 450 class.
03:19There's so many good guys and it's hard to get that momentum going
03:23and get those good finishes in every single week.
03:29And that consistency because the field is so deep.
03:337-11 ahead of him is Tristan Lane
03:35aboard the McGinley Clinic privateer support program machine.
03:40And Tristan's had a couple of good conversions, LCQ main event conversions this year.
03:45As we keep an eye on that fight, JT Marchbanks is about to execute a move almost.
03:52Yeah, well, you can just see the caution there.
03:54They're in qualifying position.
03:55There's no real reason to press the issue here.
03:58But Ricky, we're talking about just kind of getting that good finish.
04:01Last week, he showed signs of promise.
04:03He would have been ninth, was penalized one position and dropped back to 10.
04:07But it's really just show signs of life.
04:09Get any sort of positive momentum on your side.
04:12Because it has been nothing but a struggle for him.
04:16And a lot of times his teammate, Chase Sexton of Monster Energy Kawasaki.
04:20So everybody in green is just really looking for something to jumpstart this thing in the right direction.
04:25Right, JT. It's like a perfect example of that.
04:28You talked about what went down at Birmingham.
04:30And in the first lap of the heat race, he gets tangled up, is playing nice, gives his teammates some
04:36room.
04:37And then really that puts him in a position to go down.
04:40It just, it's just stuff like that just continues to happen.
04:44Paid it for him because they are working hard.
04:46Had an opportunity to talk to Brock Tickle there for a little bit this morning.
04:50And paid it for him, but they're not giving up.
04:53So pick the box to look at, whether you're looking at the race for the lead or the race to
04:58make the main event.
04:59Here comes the veteran, Justin Bogle.
05:01Aboard his Suzuki.
05:03And is he going to break the heart of Zach Williams, who narrowly missed out on making his first main
05:10in Arlington?
05:13Can he do it?
05:14Or can Justin make the second main in as many weeks?
05:18He finished 18th last week in Birmingham.
05:20With the experience that Bogle has, it shouldn't be a problem.
05:24So he can kind of play it cool here.
05:26And there he goes.
05:27He makes the move up the inside.
05:29No contact made.
05:31Going to take his time.
05:32He knew that he didn't have to push it too much.
05:35Pass for the lead.
05:37Garrett Marchbanks, as expected.
05:39Out in front.
05:41So he's just steadily just chipped his way through.
05:44Sometimes what you'll see from guys that have the experience of running up front, like a Marchbanks or a Bogle,
05:51you know, they'll take their time early on in these last chance qualifiers when they know that they're in a
05:56position to get to the main event.
05:57And let things kind of thin out a little bit and try to avoid any chaos early on.
06:03And then as things start to stretch out, that's where they'll pour it on and put in some consistent laps.

06:17Remember how I told you a little earlier, I'll see how there's that terrific scrap going on between Kevin Moran's
06:22and Grant Harlan as teammates for their champion tool storage KTMs?
06:25Well, at the moment, Grant Harlan has the upper hand as far as main events made this year over his
06:32boss and his teammate, Kevin Moran's.
06:34Well, at the moment, Kevin's going to make this easily. And unfortunately, Grant is not as they run now.
06:39So it'll be level pegging. These two are great teammates and have put on a good performance so far this
06:47year.
06:47You've got a feel for Logan Lightful there. Logan was there. He is there. The 208.
06:51Logan was the rider who was collected by this guy just in an awkward accident in their heat.
06:55Yeah, I mean, just wrong place at the wrong time.
07:00Nonetheless, a good recovery by Garrett Marchbanks.
07:04He was shaking his head there as he was coming across the line.
07:08Kevin Moran's will transfer. So too will Tristan Lane.
07:11And then that final position will go to the twisted T-Suzuki of Justin Vogel.
07:16After four years away from the highest level of competition, he is back.
