00:00Your love for WFAN, because you've been a caller, Jerry from Queens, you used to call Steve all the time.
00:06Yes.
00:06What is it about WFAN, Jerry, that draws you to it?
00:11Is it the host, maybe sometimes the crazy callers?
00:14What is it about this radio station, Jerry, that you have had this long-term companionship with?
00:20What draws you into it?
00:21Well, when did FAN start?
00:23Mid-90s, I feel like.
00:25Something like that.
00:26You know, I've only worked in 15 years.
00:28I have no idea when it started.
00:29It just, it seemed like a crazy idea.
00:32I remember when it came on, I go, how the hell can you talk about sports?
00:36To me, the craziest idea was the sports radio highlight.
00:43I can't see the play.
00:45It's just the announcer, the announcer's call.
00:49And it works.
00:50It's actually thrilling.
00:52I mean, to hear like today, Carson Bengi's tank was thrilling.
00:58It's thrilling to hear.
00:59It wasn't the greatest call from Matt Vazgurgeon, but they kind of invented that.
01:04And then they had the 2020 updates.
01:06And just that you could talk about sports, I was explaining it to my wife.
01:11It's a closed system, the sports world.
01:15Most of the time, the outside world does not affect the sports world.
01:22Sometimes somebody dies or there's a big world event.
01:24But for the most part, it's an aquarium when you go into the sports world.
01:29And we need that and love that about the sports world.
01:32I like hearing people argue and fight about something that means absolutely nothing.
