00:00Mark there was talking about the importance of public and private partnership, and you're based in the heart of this.
00:05You are in Washington, D.C. How does that look when you're thinking about investing?
00:10Is that more risk or is that more opportunity with working with the government?
00:14Yeah, so we've been navigating the regulatory framework for 35 plus years.
00:17It's definitely something to be cognizant of.
00:19It does benefit us in some ways that a lot of our peers just don't focus on this area because
00:24it is too complicated.
00:27And those that we do compete against tend to be more mid-market firms, which as a global private equity
00:33firm with a global footprint, with the resources we have, it's easier for us to differentiate when we're looking at
00:38a founder of a business that he should partner with us.
00:42And so there are some opportunities as well as risks with regard to regulatory.
00:46I'd say one of the big changes, and Mark alluded to it, is the real change in the administration.
00:51You know, some of the deals that they're putting forward are truly innovative and things that we would not have
00:55even imagined.
