00:58um i say go gold-minded driven um passionate um motivator um sometimes a counselor too i mean
01:10i feel like i'm always like that person you know how everybody you got that one person you can always
01:15count on i feel like i'm like that with a lot of people that's in my life like you know

01:21know you know it's kind of hard to give it one word but i'm still learning as it go but

01:27definitely say all those things just a jack of all trades a little bit of everything i love that
01:32because it's hard to just be more more than well one place than more place than one you know what
01:39i'm saying being able to use your talent and make it this far because it's not easy okay like i

01:46you got not just one but you got three businesses now we're gonna cover them all but i mean yeah

01:53you ever want to become an entrepreneur like that was that always your ultimate goal in life or how
01:58did that even start off for you yeah i always since i was a little girl i always knew that

02:03be an entrepreneur because i always wanted to do more than one thing so like i always like oh i

02:09to do this i want to get into clothes i want to get into this i want to you know
02:12this and the third and
02:13i just never wanted to do one thing so that always been my goal but alone to go i always
02:19had a job too
02:20so it's like you know take money make money that's true so yeah yeah i'm telling you it's just
02:26when you started your first business when did you start um your first business which was
02:32precious berries yes um i started precious berries i want to say about five six eight years ago something
02:40like that and um it just started off by me just making some little treats for my family
02:46and everybody just loved them and from there on for everybody just kept asking me to make them and
02:52make them i'm like hey that's another little income you know yeah so i started selling them i was making
02:58them out of my house first and then um i started building up clientele then i end up moving into
03:04a
03:05suite a shop a suite shop on five mile and telegraph okay so you know it was it's a process
03:10to it all but
03:11um yeah i started making money off that and then i've just been rocking with it ever since yes now
03:15you know back in the day i helped you running uh doing events yeah you did okay i helped you
03:20out
03:20even back then in the ground first pop-up shot yes i love it it's just it really inspired me
03:26because
03:26let me know like you really could start small and then work your way up and now you're doing it

03:31you were on fox 2 how was that being able to demonstrate fox 2 was definitely a great experience
03:38you know i'm um i'm always grateful for any chance you know i can broadcast my business or you know
03:44any little window is always great for me so it was definitely a great opportunity just just like this
03:50is yeah you know i don't never take nothing for granted so um definitely a great experience first
03:55time on there um i was a little bit scared but after a while i just you know it was

04:00rightfully saw me and the cameras is hot yes very everybody eyes on you i think they have a live
04:06audience in there don't they no they don't no you just they just keep it rolling yeah make you feel
04:12that way they ain't right old school you think you got somebody in there they got a sign saying ah
04:17and oh look it's it's a it's a thousand cameras in there they just oh everybody you don't really
04:22even know where to look it's like yeah and ready everybody ready to put their hands in your food like
04:26let me a little bit of that no i love that it's just like but that was a great experience

04:32for more more like it yeah no and you and it will come absolutely and i love that because with

04:37berries what makes your berries so different now you make a little bit of everything a little bit
04:42of this a little bit of that i feel like i make it different everybody definitely make theirs a little
04:48certain way but with me i take my time to make it like how i would want it you know

04:55want to buy no slop no crap so you know i put i put a lot of love in and

05:01to me so that's very most important so long as i feel like this oh this is something i will

05:07that's what makes mine special because a lot of people will just sell you some crap this for the
05:11money you know and i want my customers to keep coming back keep coming back and they can trust me
05:16for their big events like their weddings their birthdays you know right catering to all your needs
05:22and it's just like with all that craft nobody really knows how much work it goes into making
05:28those every little detail yeah how long does it take you to create like just a batch it just depends
05:34on what what type of order it is you know because i didn't done them off from weddings from baby
05:39showers
05:40bar smith you know a little everything so it just depends on how big the order is but i normally

05:46everything by myself so it can take me some time but i but over the years i didn't got real
05:51fast with it so
05:52um it definitely depends on the order oh i love that now have you ever had a funny experience
05:57while making precious berries maybe a crazy order i have you really and i don't know if i can say

06:14on the order before okay with liquor in them yep with liquor in them that's so good okay see so
06:23crazy ones yeah i have some crazy words some crazy words on there and some crazy art i love that

07:14now how what inspired you to get in the swimwear because i know you love fashion okay you're fast
07:19anista uh-huh what inspired that catch a wave is just like i always wanted to do something different
07:26you know everybody had boutiques this and a third but i didn't see many at the time when i did
07:30started i didn't see many swimsuit lines so um that inspired me to do like some real bomb swimsuits
07:37they didn't really have nothing really cute out and then i wanted something cute for every size you
07:41know so they they don't have things cute for every size right and i didn't like that you know so
07:47a lot
07:47of people they just to one little you know style or something like that because that would be my next
07:53thing is who's a catcher what's your catch away woman like any catch away woman is anybody yes
08:00anybody can wear catch a wave and you can feel like you're that girl you can feel confident on
08:05the beach with your family you know anywhere it's like an all-purpose swimsuit to any little swim
08:10occasion and you will feel like you're definitely that deal you are going to be that deal when you
08:15wear a catch away so that's how i want everybody to feel okay very comfortable yes and that's what
08:20her swimwear looks like comfortable okay i love the two pieces there's a couple of them that i've
08:24been eyeing i still haven't got i need to go and give me a pair yes okay so i can
08:28support the brand
08:29but make sure you guys do it too where can they find catch away same same spot five mile and

08:34uh and they're online on instagram um we're on this yeah i do take orders we're not online just yet
08:40but i do take orders through instagram and i can also ship i have shipped already like to miami

09:53look my clear gloss at first um it was that one and now i have a few new shades that's

10:10lip gloss put so much on like oh my god listen yeah yeah mine's definitely long lasting you ain't
10:18gotta keep applying it and applying it it's not sticky nope it's not sticky i got some on right now
10:24but i put this on i had this on since i want to say 12 really and i didn't have

11:12can't be easy like that's a lot yeah so with running a business you know um it's always your
11:18ups and down with it but you just got to remember to go like oh this is something i'm really
11:23passionate
11:23about i want to see you go far um that's what keeps me going with it because you're gonna go
11:28through every emotion that there is with running a business and you're gonna be wanting to give up
11:32and quit but no we're not no quitters and we're not just gonna quit just that quick but yeah um
11:38it keeps me it just keeps me going because i know i want to completely just work for myself
11:43not have a job or anything because i my job fund my business so it's like um that's my whole
11:51goal and
11:52that keeps me motivated to keep it going keep it being organized keep you know i love that yeah
11:58do you ever get burnt out do you ever feel like uh just overwhelmed yeah well i'm never gonna get
12:04burnt out for my business or my dreams i know that's right but for somebody else's company
12:09absolutely absolutely yes i gotta put that much you know effort into mine as i would on somebody
12:16else's clock so you know that that just keep me going no matter how long it take i'm gonna keep
12:22pushing that's so that's so important because listen we all get tired during nine to five we want to
12:26eventually end up going into work for ourselves that's what it's all about it's where it's at
12:30i'm trying to tell you i'm trying to listen so do you have any new projects or anything coming up
12:36now i know you said you were getting things going with your lip line i know some new things are
12:39coming with that yeah do you have any precious berries or anything precious berries we don't we
12:45don't we did a um a little pop-up shop earlier the beginning of this year um and i was
12:51working on
12:52i may still do it but i'm working on like a catch a wave whole little swim party type thing
12:56oh i like that so yeah we don't have a date yet for it but you know you'll be the
13:01first to know
13:01soon as soon as i figure that part out yes so yeah every you know it's always something going with
13:07any of them you know we could be at any occasion you can always book us anything you know so
13:12read us from swimsuit lip gloss berries anything oh it's always something going okay listen and if
13:19someone is watching this and has a dream that they've been sitting on what's one thing that you would
13:25tell them before you leave today like what's one thing you'll tell them i'd say go ahead do it stop
13:31yeah stop putting it back oh i'm gonna do it next week i'm gonna do it this day i'm gonna
13:35do it that
13:36day and then you never do it so while you got that drive and you're like i want to start
13:40this up right
13:41now just just do it or at least start the process you know um because you know we we always
13:47procrastinate
13:47a lot like dang i'm gonna do this the next day i don't do it indeed it never gets done
13:51you know so
13:52it i ain't saying you gonna make it tomorrow or this day but as long as you start you can
13:57at least
13:57you know oh i'm on the right track because i'm starting it you know so yes that's what i would
14:02say and i definitely say patient and time go hand in hand um everybody don't become a millionaire
14:08overnight it would definitely be great if that was that but um you know i definitely say have some
14:13patience give yourself some grace and um it's a learning it's definitely a learning um thing like
14:19we're on in the business it's not the easiest thing definitely discipline definitely discipline
14:23i would say make sure you know this is something that you want to do do all the right steps
14:27um and learn as you go don't be afraid to ask questions or you know to do certain things
14:34promote yourself i can't say that enough you know nobody gonna do it like you so right definitely
