KITTENS RESCUED FROM FLOODWATER DURING HAWAII STORM
WITH VID
BY JAIANSH SHARMA
A rescuer uses a boogie board to save stranded kittens from rising floodwaters in Waialua, Oahu, Hawaii.
Kassandra Herzog filmed the rescue during severe flooding caused by a Kona Low storm on the North Shore of Oahu.
The footage shows her moving through deep, murky water with multiple kittens placed inside a plastic crate secured on a lime green boogie board.
The video captures the effort to navigate the flooded area while keeping the animals safe, with one small snail also seen clinging to the side of the board during the rescue.
Viewers praised the rescue in the comments.
One wrote: “Need more of you!!! Crazy how on a normal day people are drowning cats on purpose and then today seeing amazing people like you going above and beyond to rescue them.”
Another added: “God bless you and thank you so much for saving them!”
