00:00The figures we're seeing today on public satisfaction with the NHS reflect grounds for optimism but not cause for complacency.
00:07And they confirm that two things are true at the same time.
00:10The NHS is improving, it's on the road to recovery.
00:14We've got the lowest waiting list we've had in three years, the fastest ambulance response times in half a decade.
00:20So it's going in the right direction.
00:22But at the same time, seeing is believing.
00:25And in far too many cases, the waits are still too long.
00:28The NHS isn't there for people when they need it.
00:31And I hope that what people will take from what they've experienced so far from this government in the NHS
00:38is some optimism and confidence based on experience.
00:43It is improving, it's on the road to recovery, we're not complacent, there's a long road ahead and I've got
00:48my foot down on the accelerator to make sure we make even more progress more quickly.
