00:00Well the latest NHS figures show that despite all the pressures we saw this
00:05winter with flu and even strikes, waiting lists are coming down now at the lowest
00:10level in three years. Ambulance response times are the best they've been in half
00:16a decade and in terms of people waiting in A&E four hours or less, which is what
00:21we want, those numbers the best we've seen in four years. Now I would be the
00:25first to say we are not out of the woods. There are still far too many people
00:29waiting too long but I hope people draw some hope and encouragement from the
00:35fact that finally after all of these years, thanks to the investment and the
00:39modernisation we're putting in, including in community diagnostic centres like this
00:43one, the NHS is on the road to recovery, we're finally moving in the right
00:47direction and over the next year this government will be putting our foot down
00:50the accelerator to make even more progress more quickly.
