00:02Australia's red meat industry has labelled the new Aussie-EU trade deal a dud.
00:07But analysts say producers should not walk away just yet.
00:11In the red meat space, a little bit of a concerning news in the sense we did get better access
00:16or improved access.
00:19The quota has been lifted to 30,000 tonne of product, but that is combined for both beef
00:25and sheep meat.
00:26And ideally we would rather have had maybe double that or triple that for each individual
00:30type rather than all combined in one.
00:35It is a win-win.
00:37It eliminates tariffs on key Australian exports including wine, seafood and horticulture.
00:45And it means our high quality Australian produce including beef, sheep meat, dairy, rice and
00:51sugar will have access to consumers in the European market.
